No public information. Officially "coming soon", that's what they repeat since may 2015. Theorically the 5.1.1 rom development is finished, but it isn't released yet. I check it daily since september, and already asked the customer service a few times. They couldn't tell me an ETA.
Why I bought it ????????? Fckng traders-dealers.....

It's a quite good device with kitkat, too. And there's a chance that it gets lollipop in the future, although only a minimal chance.

Last two sentences on that link:
The update to Android 5.0, according to Samsung a pretty big step and they will therefore have to take the time. In addition, it is reported that this is a so-called 'pre-list, there may be devices to be removed from or added to this list. So nothing is certain, Samsung has confirmed this list in any way.
So it could be possible that S3 mini will get 5.0

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini I8190N Android 4.2.2
You use Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini I8190N right ??but your android is 4.2.2 ??? PLEASE REPLY ME ~~ =)
seems that we won't even taste the 4.2.2 ste ericsson has gone bust and can't give the kernel sources and samsung isn't very eager with the less powerful phones she makes anyway..
As for the I8190, this will not go beyond 4.1.2 officially. Sad enough, but thanks to Oliver and Maclaw, there are custom 4.2+ ROMs available

As Noteboy states: There isnt going to be an official update from samsung.
The only way to get the KitKat experience is if you flash an AOSP-based ROM.
Unless somebody develops a kitkat based touchwiz rom; which might never happen.
Unfortunately never.

But isnt it against Kitkat's approach in the first place?
Wasn't kitkat for the old phones as well?
And today I held another phone in my hands for almost like 5 hours or something, after that my note felt like godlike phone.
Note is still good.
Maybe doesn't need kitkat at all but idea to make old phones work more efficient sucks then.

If note 1 is ever getting a update, it's after 2014 April. Custom ROMs are always better, without bloatware and Knox and stuff. TouchWiz free!

No one has cm12. You can tell just by going into android development and original development. There are no non-TW roms there.

Holy ****. You're not serious are you? The only S6 variants with a locked bootloader are ATT and Verizon. And the only people that don't have root are the ones running 5.1.1. Stop spreading false information!
So simple question:
At the moment, can I install a custom ROM on an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 G920A running Android version 6.0.1?

I see the one for 5.1 but not MM
Then you would need to downgrade Android versions to use the tethered root because there isn't one for marshmallow. Last time I checked there was no way to downgrade after moving to mm. Just out of luck unless this device gets cracked. Which since it has not happened yet it looking doubtful for the future.

Is that the Oreo zip? No of course not. Don't post random links if they cannot help me.
The link you and the other guy posted just states someone might have Oreo on exynos. Does not help my post whatsoever.

I think it will be out very soon, Samsung have really been pushing latest updates and security patches for note 8 since January for all models both unlocked/unbranded and carrier versions and it would be a strange thing to release the S9 with Oreo without the Note 8 getting it either before or at the same time
