Hi,
I just bought the Huawei P7 and i love it. I´m just bugged with that its so laggy, especially when browsing. I am running EMUI P7-L100V100R001C00B133SP01. Can i update to this one without rooting my phone?
Sorry if it´s a stupid question..
Thanks,
Snooten
Yes you can. Just transfer the "dload" folder in the internal or external sd and install it through the phone's update menu. Let us know if there's something that you do not understand.

Some browser lags is in every phone. Don't expect wonders after changing ROM.

ah ok, i just noticed, coming from a samsung s4, that the lag is pretty big on the huawei in comparison. Was hoping a new rom maybe would fix it. Maybe better to flash with a custom rom?
Try this custom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2948887 and use UC Browser.

Amazing, thanks! Just one last question; can i revert to stock rom again if i flash it with this rom, in case i want to sell it?
Sure you can! You'll just have to do the same steps for the recovery flashing but this time you'll have to use the original recovery files, then the usual "dload" rom flashing.

SD cards are recommended to use FAT32, if you want to upgrade from 2.3 to 3.0 you must place in the sdcard the folder called /dload/ and put the file UPDATE.ZIP there. Update it by using the option settings-------updates----------system updates-------local update and confirm-----.Good luck. Anyway you can find more information here in this thread:

This is not a stupid question so do not worry, at first it is pretty hard to understand some technical vocabulary and common expressions regarding smartphones. To tell you the truth your cell phone is very outdated taking into account the newest version is B609 3.0 EMUI, you have 2.3 Emui. To answer the question about a possible update for your device, it depends on the place you are, and mobile operator you are registered. If I were you I would try to read a lot of these threads around here and try to learn how to perform an update manually. There are a lot of Roms that are waiting for you including the last one (B609) so far. Good luck and start R.T.F.M !!!!!
Thank you very much for your response, but I don't have an Idea which update should I install, cuz im really newbie in this stuff so,I don't want to harm my phone unknowingly.
I'm Located in Georgia. If you would recommend which Update should I install, that would be great. Or,if i won't update in manually, will I receive it automatically after some time?

It said failed since some people just put the UPDATE.ZIP in the /dload/ folder, without taking into account that inside the update.zip there is another files called the same way "UPDATE.ZIP" this is the one that you need to place in the folder /dload/ and update via local update from the cell phone menu. Good luck !!!!

STABLE means is ready for daily work, since it does not have any bugs or lags, Beta is only for testing since has some bugs and lags,so STABLE is better than BETA. The number of the version is only to differentiate between one version and the other version. B602 is the BETA version of EMUI 3.0 with lags and bugs. B609 is the newest stable version of EMUI 3.0.

No you can't..... At least not without unlocking bootloader and flashing it by fast boot.... And yes people aren't interested due to LACK OF NFC
How do I flash this if I am rooted? Will I need to wipe?
Also is it supposed to work with ALE-L21? What could happen if I update an unlocked phone with this ROM?
Will p8 lite ALE-L21 c432xxx recive this update?

NFC is OFF, and I can`t enable it. You can change ringtones and notification sound. I use Zedge apk for that. Themes app and file manager apk aren`t in this rom. I dload original huawei apk from this post

But, more issue for me is that battery leak more faster than on B5xx

Ok guys, rookie question. I can only install this by flashing it right? Because i tried to put the UPDATE.APP file into the dload, the usual stuff you do for an update rom in this phone, and when it was updating, it said the version was incopatible. So i tried to flash the zip, and i got stuck on the huawei animation. Any tips?

Well, because the data partition is different, you can only backup all your data and restore it later. I think you can use Google to redownload your previously installed apps and just copy everything else to your SD card or PC.

Maybe flashing the new camera apk. But I don't know how that works. Just trying to install it doesn't. Maybe I can do something in some hours. Will tell you later.
Oh and btw. I wouldn't recommend you the B890 because its Vodafone branded. And if you're not Vodafone its not the smartest idea. I would recommend you to get back to B5xx. It may look older, but in fact, the newest version is more secure because it has the newest security patch. The functions of B890 and B5xx are equal. Even if it says EMUI 4.1.

Well , he should first extract the update.app from update.zip and then he is supposed to flash it.
And then the second zip , he need to remove a line from the second regional zip updater script and delete the update app from it later flash it .
Again extract the removed update.app and flash all files from the update.app using twrp by making a script.
Same process for the zip and it is done .

Funny how Samsung is handling this. Having a Note 9 in Malaysia is like having the best hardware with appalling after sales software support. ... Even Chinese competitors like oneplus 6t and huawei mate 20 pro are on Pie here. No wonder Samsung is losing its ground!!!

Hi,
I'm curious and really tempting to do so.
Just wondering - by doing this - will not affect our installed apps, right? Finger cross (as i don't see anything saying required to wipe data / internal / factory reset)
How's the One UI performance overall after you installed it?

i did a factory reset after installation. but that was my choice. i was still able to use the apps without the reset. performance wise.. the phone felt smoother after the reset but that will be the case even if i did not update i guess.
