V700xxucnk1 - Samsung Galaxy Gear

has anybody tried this new firmware?

Installed it just now, can't feel or see any difference. Then again, the update was only ~4MB.

got my gear this week and the first task was to upgrade to this version! Runs smooth so far!
Anyone a hint how to root this version?

[Q] Help With Tweaks!

I just got my Nexus 6 about a month ago and I have started experimenting with root and roms. I have tried a couple roms but I decided I want to return to stock with root just for the best stability. Is there any way I can add tweaks like the circle battery or free wifi tether to the stock rom? Thanks
Or if there is a rom that is stable that you recommend I may look into that as well
Chroma is a nice rom with just the right amount of features.
SinLess rom is extremely stable also, based on stock.

With the exception to cm, not really heard of anything being unstable.
Use xposed

Flash stock and Root it. Now install Xposed For Lollipop and you're free to customize your device without any ROM

Alright, I will look into it when it becomes more stable because I do miss it from KitKat. Maybe you or someone else could help me out with one more thing. Im trying out BlissPop v2.0 currently and for the wifi hotspot, everything works as it should, but it says "no connected devices". Is there a way to fix this? I know the hotspot is working because I'm using it to post this lol.

[Q] Should I install Android 5

The net always talks about how to Install Android 5 but I wonder whether it would be a good idea to install it in the first place.
Will I get better performance and a better phone? What about app compatibility? I just want a phone with the least bugs and problems.
Thanks

I'd say yes. Try it and see for yourself so you get your own opinion and not only base on what other people say. You can always go back.
I did the upgrade 2 weeks ago. It's worth it. The only compatibility issue i had was with Dungeon Hunter 5. It stopped working but it was probably a good idea to get rid of it anyway. (More slot machine than anything). Other than that, I'm loving it.

Yes, you just need to flash a Kitkat file from here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/list-stock-firmwares-d5803-d5833-t2906706
yes
least bug and problems, 4.4.4 is the winner.
I had 5.0 on other devices and it was a joy to come back to 4.4.4 and have a rock steady experience with insane battery life.
yes you can flash back, but like the UK version, I found no online files to do so. and I can make my own, but sod it. I know what 5.0 is and I wasnt impressed at all.
Updated yesterday, performance is the same if not better, battery is the same. You should try
I think I'll play it safe and give it some time to be sure before I update. I don't have the time or the knowledge to flash back to 4.4.4. Thanks everyone!

It's easy to flash back 4.4.4, however I updated yesterday and from my opinion it is not worth it at all, the interface is more complicated, there are bugs like a memory leak on startup which make it take age to load, xposed do not work well (I had a bootloop, had to reflash the system partition). I think I am going back to KK soon ?

apps wont download

when I use the gear manager and click on a app it flickers like its going to download but then nothing happens.
what am I doing wrong?

Downgrade back to kit kat much better rom than lollipop
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
Not sure if I am understanding.......
I have a Gear 2 Neo, running the latest Tizen rom and have no issues syncing with my S4 running stock or custom lollipop TW ? Apps download fine, no issues with gear manager, etc. Am now trying out the android wear rom on the Gear 2 thread with a custom 5.1.1 AOSP Rom using the android wear app on the phone - again, without issue ?
Why is the response to downgrade back to kit kat ?
thanks in advance,
Now there are 2 solutions

1. I downgraded to Kitkat (4.4.2) and everything was perfect.
2. Meanwhile the last Lollipop upgrade is also perfect. Of course you should update the Gear Manager.

I was running lollipop already when acquired the device, so going back to kitkat didn't felt right since I'm very used to lollipop.
Mess up a little with the phone trying to make it more compatible and realized that I was just messing with my phone stability just to be able to use the device.
Long story short, I put Android Wear on the device and now I'm running 5.1.1 in both phone and device. By my use, needs and circumstances it's the best decision. Only need Android Wear app on the phone and everything else works flawlessly. Now it's just a matter of finding a watch face cool enough to keep it for long term.
Thanks everybody for the previous help. #ThumbsUp #FirstBumps

Question Flashing UI 4.0 on my already rooted S21 Ultra. Anyone had positive experience?

Hi!
I have a rooted S21 ultra with SafetyNet working and all is perfect.
Did anyone try to flash UI 4.0 on their rooted phone? I'm afraid SafetyNew or other things will break, since it's a new OS.
I couldn't find (still) any resources on this. Anyone got any insights?
Same question ....
Instal ketan rom, safetynet passes. Very stable rom.

Didn't get much time to mess with it.
Not a fan of third party roms, I'd rather DIY it.
