hey guys.
i have atrix hd mb886 and when im trying to get into recovery all i see is the background and no menu.
and after a minute the phone restart, show motorola logo then restart again and go into recovery and restart againg.. endless loop like that.
now i tryed to flash rom with Safestrap recovery (before the endless loop when the phone was still +/- good and was startup to the android system).
the flash was unsuccessful (error 7) and after the restart the phone got into this loop.
ive serched the whole net and didnt find answer but iv seen that if i will flash the phone from the AF Fastboot (volume up and volume down then AF Fastboot in menu)
the phone will come back to it self.
but the phone dosnt respond to the RSD Lite 6.1.6.
i deleted the driver and now the pc dosnt recognized the phone and in device mengar i see "Fasstboot QINARA S". (Win 8.1)
i tryed diffrend pc and the phone (fastboot) recognized as "ADB somthine".. (Wind 7)
the RSD still dosnt recognize the phone but the device manager dose, so i tryed through "Myth Tools - AHD" but the phone didnt got flashed.
now im asking if there a way to unbrick it except jTag??
please help me guys im really stuck!! :crying:
Thanks in Advance.

Ok, so it was a stock JB build. Bootloader unlocked is good. Safestrap on an unlocked boot loader is not. Safestrap is only necessary for locked bootloaders. It most likely isn't compatible with newer ROMs. While it may give you access to recovery, it is only used when the bootloader is locked. 4.1.2 on a cm build is cm10. Cm11 is 4.4 to 4.4.4. Sbf and a regular ROM are different and flashed in different ways. We do not have a 4.4 sbf. You need to flash a sbf, not a ROM, via RSD.

I read that you deleted the drivers. You should start there. I've used RSD 5.7, idk how 6.1 works. That should do the trick.

So you flash with fastboot? Not RSDlite..
It takes 3+min first boot
im actually having the same problem as this guy. but mine was refurbished and im pretty sure its a hardware problem. ik adb rsd and moto-fastboot lol
To be clear...
You downloaded that file above?
Plugged in your phone via USB with a mostly/fully charged battery?
Powered up with M + Power button?
Scrolled with Volume Down to AP Fastboot and pressed Volume Up to select it?
Once it said USB Connected, you ran the CLICK HERE etc. batch file?
This should unbrick you in a few minutes and the initial boot will take a few minutes as well. I know those files work...they're my working DL'd files on my DropBox account.
cant speak for the other guy but for me this is my third refurbished droid 3. i can still acess clockwork and stock recovery. i used moto fast boot and rsd they both said "okay" for each part. "adb reboot-bootloader" aka ap fast boot also went there manually yes battery fully charged made sure. im so puzzled lol

OOH! Misunderstood you. When you said you used Moto Fastboot and RSD I assumed that you booted into Fastboot to flash with RSD. Fastboot just allows you to flash, the script and RSD are the two means of unbricking. Gotcha. And I agree. BL's need to be unlocked.
Maybe you guys are on the latest OTA and try to fastboot .890?
Sounds to me like either one or both of you didn't erase userspace in stock recovery. I had this very same problem. The rsdlite method will not allow you to boot until the old junk is gone from /data and /cache. Try turning on the d3 from power off while holding the "m" key, then selecting down arrow to "Recovery", then hit "ok". Once in stock recovery, select erase user data and cache. Do it several times, then select reboot, and you will be good to go, assuming you flashed the correct xml/zip package successfully.

Do it at your own risk and read it carefully!
I combine the guide for ICS and JB flashing.
- Download the latest driver for Windows HERE and for Mac HERE.
- Download RSD Lite HERE.
- Download stock ICS HERE
- Download stock JB HERE
- You need to open the zip of the rom and find xxx.xml. Open it and notice line like . You should remove both lines to avoid error at flashing. Or you can download my modified xml for ICS HERE. For JB HERE. Replace your original xml.
- Install drivers and RSD Lite to your PC.
- Make sure your battery at least 80% before we proceed.
- Turn off your phone and press both volume keys and power on. You'll enter bootmenu options. Choose AP Fastboot by scrolling with volume down and volume up to select.
- Connect your phone to PC and your PC will detect and install the drivers automatically.
- Open RSD Lite and click ... beside filename. Browse to your ROM and double click it. A menu will popup and choose "uncompress and start flashing".
- It will start flashing once it finishes uncompressing.
- Sit down and relax.
If you want to replace stock recovery with CWM,you can do it by replacing THIS over the original one inside the zip. Thanks to skeevy420.
Note : You can't downgrade if you are on JB to ICS via RSD Lite. With an unlocked bootloader,you can do that with fastboot.
Screenshot added to second post. Thanks a lot to devilsking.
Ha ha. Finally U did it . and now I found an useful guide of how to flashing stock firmware :">. But it's better to add screenshots then make ur guide more clear so I will help u to finish it. Anw, Thank you bro
1. After download required files, open stock rom (*.zip) and you need to find the xml file with name of firmware:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Open that xml file with notepad (I recommend Notepad ++) and delete 2 get var lines then save it:
3. Open the fastboot mode (Turn off your phone and press both volume keys and power on then select by volume +, scroll by vomlume - or )
4. Open RSDlite, select firmware with edited xml and let it decompress then flash.

To expedite things a bit, you could also add to the OP to change the md5sum of the fastboot's recovery.img and replace stock recovery with Epinter's CWM. Don't have Windows to test so I'm not sure if it'll work, but it should. That way they don't have to "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" afterwards.

Thanks,bro.. so after replacing stock recovery.img,we'll end with epinter's cwm instead of stock? This is useful for those who don't want to do fastboot cmd things. I'll add it soon. I'm on my Photon Q right now.

now i have a Motorola Atrix HD with Bootloader unlocked and Recovery but when i try to put a new Rom in the Phone Dont Put the new Rom overwrite the Rom in the AT&T Rom (try with Batakang Rom) if i try with Cyanogen or another dont give Me that Problem ?
Um what?

Did you mount /system before flashing Batakang? For roms intended for flashing in SafeStrap, like Batakang, to flash in CWM you must mount /system first.

Dear Xda'ers,
I am really desperate on the situation and need your help.
I tried every solution to get into recovery mod including SFT and others available, no luck in getting there.
The rom is working, so no bricked phone situation, problem is gapps terminates itself making email and other functions unreachable.
So I want to switch to either the official rom or another one which is in the forum.
Phone is roooted by the way.
Any suggestions?
PS. As put in the title, this roms cook told me that he cannot help me.

Hello.
If you just want to get into recovery mode, open terminal emulator.
Type
'su'
Allow it and type
'Reboot recovery'
Without '.
Works under cwm.
If this doesn't work.
Use smart flash tool.
(Quoted) ⬇
After flashing your phone should Boot into recovery.
Dont forget to do always a factory reset. If not -> bootloop
radkor said:
SmartFlash Tool completly erases device memory during flashing.
Phone will make Factory Reset at first boot after flashing!
You can upgrade and downgrade. You can downgrade from V20N too!
This also will remove phone lock if you forget unlock code or pattern. (phone lock, NOT simlock or network lock...)
This method doesn't need internet connection.
If you want to flash an LG P970H download correct ROM from link below.
With this solution you can unbrick LG Optimus Black P970.
It fixes bootloop, "ERROR LG Security Team", and BSOD - blue screen with green writings (untested).
Only requirement is ability to enter in to S/W Update mode and not broken hardware.
Tested on: Windows 7 Ultimate x86, x64 and Windows XP Pro SP3.

Now your phone should be unbricked and working.
I will not take any responsibility if something goes wrong when you trying this solution. For me and many others it worked well.

Used ALL mentioned so far, brought it three different service centres, they couldn't manage to get into recovery as well
Any creative ideas?

worked for me
ok it seems there is also an other way to enter recovery:
on switched off phone (and only then!) press and hold G-key + volume up and then press power key.
it should boot straight into recovery.
Cant you push recovery through adb/fastboot?

Do you still have cwm and the custom ROM on your phone? If yes, simply download quickboot or rommanager from playstore and hit reboot recovery.

Hi guys,
Tried the two methods from DuffBoon and wash beer - no luck.
I think there is something wrong with gapps as it gives an error when I try to download smth from Google Play- so no option to load any new app.
I go into terminal emulator, input 'su' and have superuser rights, than punch 'reboot recovery', it reboots but no recovery at all.
My diagnosis is CWM and gapps is broken somewhat; SFT or another method is not working for that reason.

But your system is still working? There is an adb flashable cwm recovery from redy06 somewhere here. Google:
Xda cwm touch redy06
And youll probably find it. You can flash it with the device on. There also is a reboot recovery script in the pack, so you can check if it works or not.

Thanks, seems interesting - I will try it and see whether it works or not (currently on Mac)
Hey there,
I failed to upgrade my moto x to lollipop and accidentally erased the Android OS.
Basically, when I try to turn it on, it gets stuck at the moto bootlogo. If I press te volume down and the lock buttons, I do get to the boot screen (AP Fastboot Flash Mode), but, no matter what option I select, it goes back to the bootlogo and gets stuck again.
When I connect to my pc, it appears as Motorola ADB Interface at the device manager, even with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled. That makes it impossible for me to update the device with the RiffBox Drivers and, therefore, to have it accepted by Blankflash.
Is there any way to save this phone?
Thanks a lot in advance.

No. It wasn't the pure edition, but I unlocked the bootloader before screwing the firmware instalation
Dont worry its fixable. As long as you're still able to get it in to the boot loader mode.

What am I supposed to do, then?
Once I get to the bootloader, no matter what option I select, it goes back to that logo again and I get stuck.

You can flash your system.img in fastboot. You just have to find the right one for your model.

It doesn't work since the phone is not recognized as a usb device. If I go to windows device manager, it shows the phone as Android Device - Motorola ADB Interface.

How is that possible if all I can get is the fastboot screen, but any option selected leads to that boot logo again?

You flash from the fastboot screen. You don't select any of the options.

First of all, thanks for all the help.
Still, I did what you suggested and now it gets stuck on that Bootloader Unlocked Warning.

The version I used to have before was as it follows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So, after rooting, I tried the LXE 22.46-17 firmware. That's when the OS was erased.
I finally managed to solve it.
It is a Nextel firmware, so I wasn't flashing the system.img right.
Thank you all for your kindness and answers.
