Are you rooted ? if so, use es file explorer (may work on other root explorers?) and go to settings, then select file settings, then tick "show hidden files"
now, look for a folder called trash1000 inside this will be all the files you have deleted, delete that folder and reboot and you should regain some space.
this happened to me the other week, i had 0 files on the sd card, but upto 9gb of deleted files inside this folder, roms that id deleted months ago.
also, throw in a format for good measure too just make sure to backup anything you want to keep !
I am currently on ultimate n7000 4.1.2 jb rom but i have also tried changing different roms just to find out if there is something wrong with this rom ... but nothing worked for me ...
I installed es file manager and i went into settings and did how you said .. i checked on show hidden files but i couldnt find that folder bro ...
Do you have any idea now whats wrong with it ....
Thanks
And id i try to delete something from the file manager ... it is not letting me delete anything as well ...

To delete system files, make sure that files are mounted as R+W (read+write) & R/O (read-only)..in ES explorer, you can see this on the right top..once mounted as R+W, you should be able to delete..

Not your card . I had this crap with the jb roms
Need to wipe the odex file of offending app. The one you try ,like galley,in my case, which gives you the message
Sent from the man hiding in your attic......
Why if you are having a problem, the first thing you think of is flashing roms and kernels ?
It's like buying a new car if your shoe doesn't fit snugly to your foot..
If you get these error messages one of three conditions might be true :
1. Your memory is read only....
2. The partition you are writing to is full.
3. It is trying to install to a non existing path.
So a logical approach would be to first determine which one of these cases is
causing your problem, and then take appropriate action..
Can you please tell how do i wipe that ... ?? Because i am actually fed up of it now and i need some solution ... actually i have this another application with which i can actually see the pics but i dunno why not from the orignal application
I got a solution... i was on rr v3... below mention things i did to work it normal again now no problem at all
1. Wipe data from recovery
2. Using pc odin i flashed ginger bread and 16 gb pit file.
3. Stay 15 min on ginger bread
4. Flash 4.0.4 using pc odin
5. Rooted hydracore kernal
6. Wipe all data.
7.flash jelly bean stock deodex rom ( which i make my own).
8. Flash new xxls7 philiz kernal
All work fine now n much smother than before.

Hi Guys,\
I am looking for your advice on some internal storage issues on my Samsung Galaxy Note 1 (N7000). i have been using mainly cyanogen rom 10 and Super Nexus Rom.
I keep getting warnings my internal storage (not the internal or external SD card) is nearly full. Apps won't install or update.
If i look at settings/storage/internal storage it says total space 1,97 GB. First it starts out grey and the bar is nearly full. Than it calculates and says there is 192 MB available, 631 mb Apps (app data & media content) installed and 7,71 mb cached data.
I am not an mathetmaticien, but 192 mb + 631 mb + 7,7mb adds up to 830,7 MB. Where is the other 1,166.7 GB gone???? What is eating my internal storage and how can clean this up?
I have tried wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wiped app data, used apps2sd, i have tried loads of cleaning apps. the only that works is a full factory reset. And after a couple of weeks the internal storage fills up again with ghost data... Any advice here??
Try to use Forever Gone, it fills the memory with .blank files, then it erases all those files and free up space. Hope it helps you with that issue.
If not, consider use another rom , like Asylum Rom, it's CM 10.1 and it simply rocks on my Note with no issues at all.
Good Luck!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
thanks for the help,
But Gone Forever only cleans up the "internal SD card" Not the internal storage. I have 9 GB free on my Internal SD card, so thats not the issue. The issue is about the 2GB internal storage.

Ofcourse, curious as I am: What the f .. k is causing this?? I did run a malware app to see if there was a corrupt app somewhere to blame.... but found nothing.

Here is the link to the thread where you mentioned about corrupt SD : http://forum.xda-developers.com/canvas-turbo/development/mod-extend-phone-storage-micromax-t2767834
Later on I tried the 3.5Gb partition EBR files and successfully flashed them. It successfully extended my phone memory to 2.8 Gb but I was unable to mount the Internal SD. Hope I have done some miStaKe during the flashing via SP Tools.
Thanks to #nrupesh2912 for the awesome ROM for A20 and for phone memory up gradation.
Thanks to #FSadino for the valuable advices.

Successfully flashed my A250 with the 4Gb EBR files...
The partition is now 3.5 Gb and 9.96 Gb. Flashed it on mere Rom. :good::good:
My phone has got new WINGS....
Kisses to the dEv for his ultimate work....
Few more issues
I see few issues with this ROM.
1. Earlier I used to have flip to silent feature in my Turbo however after flashing with this ROM i`m unable to use Flip to silent. I tried Motion gesture settings but still no go.
I noticed that with Titanium backup when I move all the user apps from phone storage to Internal Card after restart they are back in phone storage.
Also is there a way to default storage apps in Internal SD card.

Hello everyone,
I am facing a wired problem on my GT-N7000, after flashing new rom with wipe data and factory reset, all files in internal storage remains intact. :crying: i want to format that internal storage completely because there are so many junk files like, snote files and other application files which i don't use so can anyone please help me out?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem.
Using stock rom (no root access) I can format/factory internal SD card.
As soon as I'm rooting the device I can't do it anymore (from recovery's menu or Android).
I installed CM11 but no better luck.
Please help us.

Connect it to pc using Cwm mounts and storage menu and format it from there..
So i have the Sony Xperia V (LT25i) and tried to find my way to CM and rooting and all this cool stuff apple users can't get..
I'm also new in this forum but i searched my problem and didn't find anything, if anyone knows more just send the link to the thread and thats it.
I rooted, got bootloader unlocked and tried to flash cm, bricked my phone, somehow got access to the flashtool again and flashed a stock rom, made a factory reset and i think thats all i messed around..
But the problem is now that some apps can't access the internal storage properly for example:
-can't download or upload media in whatsapp
-can't put homescreen via album app (external sd card not found)
i think that's it for now
I hope someone can help
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The best place to find an answer is in your device's specific forum. See this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-t-v
Nooby me..
So just post the same thing in another thread or do you push it there?
I Don't want to spam the forums with my threads and stuff....
Thanks for the reply!!
I'll ask a moderator to move it there. Here's where it'll be moved to, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-t-v/help

Go to Settings/Apps/All, find "Media Storage" and "Clear Data" button, and then restart your phone.
If that doesn't work backup your files and format the SDcard in Android.
