lock & unlock sounds request - Moto X Q&A

hi everyone,
Would someone with root access be so kind to extract and post here, the files for lock sound and unlock sound from the UI sounds folder?
Thanks!

Actually you don't need root to read from the System folder. Attached are the files.
Plus if anyone wants the entire stock media files someone (not me) uploaded them here: http://d-h.st/WIO
Here's the Reddit post where I ran across the link a while back: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1kyooq/here_is_a_zip_file_containing_1500_ringtones/

Awesome. Thank you!

HTC TYTN ii

Hi,
Ive just recently got this phone from my brother, and i am adding videos etc to it successfully.
I want a good alarm tone. I have converted an MP3. file to .wav . I then added it into the windows folder. I click the main clock, click the little bell, and open the drop down list for alarm tone.
As soon as i click the tone i added to the phone, it automatically switches back to the default tone.
How do i get my normal tone, because the other ones just wont wake me up.
cheers
Have attached GAlarm it's not the newest version as it's now a pay for app, but it's far more reliable than the Windows Alarm and also very easy to set up.
Hi thanks. How do i install this?
Sorry, kinda new to things like this. I havnt bought the phone off my brother yet, so dont want to mess anything up by installing it wrong.
Help is appreciated

Unzip it on computer you will find a .cab place onto phone via async or cardreader, then with File Explorer on phone find the .cab click on it, install to device memory, in start menu will be GAlarm click it, it will promp restart, restart phone.
Now you can set up alarm
Thanks
I unzipped it to pc. opened the file, and there is another zip folder. Do i just unzip that again, drag the 1 cab file across through async, and it will install?
EDIT: Sorry for repost.
There isnt a .cab file in there when i have extracted the 2nd zip.
There is just a load of windows files ending in .152 etc
Also an xml file. Is this what you mean?

The second file is a .cab it's just that it's a compressed file so shows up as same looking, the file you extracted from original .zip do not unzip it place on phone and follow above directions

Yes yes im very stupid. I just saw it as another zip file. Looked at windows bar @ bottom and it said GAlarm.cab i was like...... .cab .
Installing it now. Shall tell you if it works Thanks
Update: Going through installation process now. Said it may not function properly due to it being made for a previous version of windows mobile. Carried on anyway. Loaded up app and forced restart. Booted it up and got another error. Booted it up for 3rd time and created my first alarm .
P.S Is there anyway of getting just my alarm on the main screen, without the added buttons? (Contacts, ringtones) etc.
Sorry for spam.
All done and added.
All i can say is thank you very much. Youve been a great help to me and im sure to come back when ive bought the phone, and feel more confident with installing new programs.
thanks

Need preinstall apps

Could someone please upload their entire preinstall/app folder from 905 for me? Safestrap hosed mine and now the ICS update won't install.
Much appreciated!
No one? Come on.
I had the same issue, but I just bit the bullet and took the long route by reverting back to 902.
Had the same problem but you can save yourself a TON of time by doing the following:
1. download the Zumocast apk from Play or anywhere on the internet really
2. move the com.motorola.zumocast.apk file to the preinstall/apps folder using your favorite root file explorer
3. rename the file com.motorola.zumocast by just deleting the ".apk" part
I don't even know if it has to be the zumocast apk or if it's just looking for the file name. Hope this solves your problem because it fixed mine.
Yeah I figured it out, the name change worked. Thanks anyway.
Hello friends,
Thanks for sharing your information, Really I am highly appreciated here.
Best regards
Nicholas

Attached are the files you've requested. This is not a flashable zip file, it's just an archive file containing the 2 files. Extract the zip and place the files in system/app with the right permissions. Good luck.
In the future, please use a title that describes your problem so that someone with a similar problem may find it when doing a search. "Really I need help!" does no one any good as far as searching goes.

[HELP] This zip is not a Magisk Module! Simple System UI sound replacement

Hello, first post.
I've been looking for the better half of two days to figure this out and the only thing that comes close is a similar thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-this-zip-is-not-a-magisk-module.4087019/
I tried creating a really simple module to replace a few System UI sounds, but I keep running into this error when installing. The resolution to the above thread was one of the mods repacked the OPs zip and it worked, and something about "Possibly the line endings were messed up."
Not sure what I have done wrong, I followed the guide at https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/guides.html
I am not super tech savvy when it comes to actually creating stuff, Ive always been able to follow along other peoples instructions but I cant find anything to get this done.
Now android 11 doesn't allow mounting the system partition as RW I thought that I could do it with Magisk, but I'm at a loss of what to do now.
I have attached my module zip.
Any help would be massively appreciated! -PlutoniumRobot
You need to move the module contents to the root of the zip.

I believe the contents are at the root of the zip; meta-inf, module.prop, system. Am I missing something?
Not in the zip you have attached to the 1st post. They're in a folder named "Pixel Sounds" (and also doubled inside the "__MACOSX" folder), so you'll have to move them out from there...

Wow I am such an idiot. Thank you. Is it worth removing the post for my stupidity?
You're not at all the first to make that mistake, and definitely won't be the last (why do you think I have that section in the Magisk troubleshooting guide?)...
If you absolutely want the thread deleted I'm sure that can be arranged. Report the 1st post and a moderator that is assigned to this area of XDA can take care of it (I'm assigned to the Samsung forums, so I'm here I'm just another forum member but with a fancy badge).
But I'd recommend keeping it, since there's a real chance that someone will bump into this thread at some point (just like you found the other thread), and will be glad to find the info to help them with the same issue.

[Solved][Request] Lock sound from Stock ROM of Google Pixel 5.

If someone with a rooted Pixel device can send me these two files I would really appreciate it!
/system/media/audio/ui/Lock.ogg
/system/media/audio/ui/Unlock.ogg
Or send me the whole folder, I don't mind .
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I thought of getting the sounds directly from AOSP Source, it worked! I am going to keep this thread listed, just in case anyone wants to do this. Here's how:
This is the link for all the System Sounds of AOSP! Just download the ones you want to replace, go to this folder /system/media/audio/ui/ on your rooted device, and replace the file. Make sure to keep a backup of the original file, however. Have fun!
