Anyone know which one the best ROM and kernel for gaming for android 4.4.4?:what:
All the kitkat's are good but it is best to try them out yourself and see which one fits your needs.

I like kitkat but in my opinion it's not that good for gaming. But have it your way . You can try Mackay's ROM or SlimKat or Omni. I haven't played anything on Kitkat so i don't really know but you can give them a shot.
Check out the rom guide sticky, people have put down their thoughts there

Hi All, I'm using my note on the stock rom now and i tried the last few days a several roms from different types like CM , AOKP , PAC ..
sure the pure JB Roms are so fast and full of great features ( EXCEPT ) the call recording feature :/ which i need it so much because i dont remember anything and in my work everyday there is calls full of infos i will not ever can remember it without listening to the call again
Stock ROMs have the ability to use this cool feature ..
So i'm searching for a ROM combines the stock stability and features with the Look of the CM roms and its fast apps..
I used a ROM like that on my S2 before, its name was Chameleon Rom (NOT) Chameleon OS.. and it was so wonderful but i couldn't find any similar to it ROM for my Note >>
Please how find a Rom like that just tell me..
and if someone knows how to add the Airview of the Note3 for the SPen , please let me know...
thanksss
I'm currently using miui.
I must say it's fast, good looking, with spen features ROM.
It also includes call recording.
Maybe You should give it a try

Hello,
I am really having trouble choosing a ROM.
There are so many..
I currently have TsunamiX 5.2.
Which is the newest with a very good battery life, less lags and bugs, Rom's out there?
Gaming and "high" performance are not important for me.
Thank you

Try ICS Mackay CM9 ROM v1.5. Im using it, after many JB/KK Roms I found this and its just Great. Battery life and many.other things are much better than JB/KK Roms. Good luck.

Yes, I tried it, its based on CM11 if im not wrong. But as I said before, Im on Macay ICS CM9 since more than a month now, this means I found this Rom very very useful. Before I flashed every 2-3 days, sometimes even twice a day, I tried many many Roms but this is just Great. Smooth, Stable, Bugless, with longest batery life comparing with Roms before. You can give a try, and you'll see. Hope to like it (if you decide to try it)
Good luck.

Essentially the same thing.Don't be lazy and test yourself. It's not that hard after all.

Exactly.. It's not like I opned a thread in which I asked "What is the best rom out there?".
Roms come in many shapes and specifications..
Nothing wrong in getting advices from more expirienced users
BTW, It is kinda anti-Intuitive to go back to ICS.. Any missing features from JB or Kitkat? Or does it feel the same?

So there is no need for this forum I guess.. huh?
Can't I get an advice? Why should I try 100 different roms if someone can direct me? I would never thought on going back to ICS or trying this rom that Milot suggested.
Seriously, mind your own buisness please..

I see you can read.

Some things are missing, but for example "doubletap to sleep" you can use an xposed module for that and works great, Center clock and battery styles, and many other tweaks you can use Xblast tools (xposed module). The only thing I cant find was "Clear all button" on recent app list, but you can swipe one by one...
Im really satisfied with this Rom, based on features of Galaxy S i9000, (for me at least) this was best so far.

Mod Edit
Whichever way you word it...
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Go for any rom that has archidroid optimizations.I did for both my phone and my sister's L9.These ROMs are noticeably faster compared to others, has a little better battery life, CM11 nightlies etc. don't have these so you might find them sluggish after using a ROM with those optimizations.ROM in my signature has them for example.
OmniROM 4.4.4 for me kitkat
And MoltenMotherBoard AOSP for LP
But i also do not recommend you to buy this phone it is not worth its money even 3 years old.
Hi guys, i finally decided to install a custom rom in my moto g 2014, so here i am asking you what is the best rom, i've seen this http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-t2993932
and i think it's good, but i've not read all the 370 pages so maybe there are some problems or maybe there is a better rom...
sorry for my bad english and thank you all
You have to find out which is the best ROM for you. What is important for you? That it is stable? Or good battery backup?

If many features are not what you're looking for, go for cm12. If you want as many customizations as possible, I'd recommend you blisspop, carbon ROM or PAC ROM.
I personally like less customization, for examole Slim, tesla are little customized, Aosp is the uncustomized Android nexus like experience, all have nice performance, stable and battery backup
I would recommend you AOSP. It's all clean, ready to provide you the best performance a ROM can give.
But if you want some customizations to play with, I HIGHLY recommend OctOS. This ROM wasn't highlighted as many others around this forum, but I guarantee that you will receive a good performance and a good bunch of custom features
thank you guys, all this answers were unexpected, this is a beautiful community

It definitely is. With custom kernel you have more features like double tap to wake and so on. I'd recommend Optimus kernel or spirit kernel.

Both kernels have a feature list in the thread. Have a look at them and then decide which kernel has the most features that you need, or if you need a custom kernel at all.
Spirit
Optimus

gotta try them out.. i can tell you what i feel is good, but you might feel its terrible. every person has their own needs and wants from a rom. so read the ops for each rom and try them out, thats the only way that you will know whats good for you or not. btw, roms and kernels are different. and each rom has its own kernel.
