Hi, I like to use beejive/trillian. These use c2dm, but don't seem to work on my phone. I only get the messages once I actually go into the app. Chrome to phone doesn't arrive either. I've used coginition roms, and am currently using axura. Does c2dm work for you?
I've changed my android id to the original in case that was causing any issues, but it still doesn't work.
Was this issue resolved? I'm having the exact same problem here.
stock tmb note 4. CONSTANT bluetooth connectivity issues. this phone is a piece of sh!t when it comes to this and I am at my wits end. does anyone know if a 3rd party app that fiuxes this issue? we have not gotten the marshmallow update yet either so I dont even know if this is limited only to jellybean.
anyone with this same infuriating issue?
thanks!
What is the issue? You didn't actually say anything other than it's giving you problems.
FWIW my wife and I have never had a BT issue.
Never had a single issue here either.
Cannot connect to any device with any level of stabilty. I have done it all. Clearing.caches and data. Installing stupid 3rd party apps. I'm at the point where I don't care about Knox and just root but I'm leery arput doing it. Bluetooth on the note 4 for me has been nothing but a problem

My wife and I both have a Note 4 with TMo. Hers is bone stock and mine is stock rooted.
Never had BT issues. We both use BT connections for hours at a time with no stability problems.
Maybe try dialing *#0*# and running a self test on the BT hardware.
Not to be a jerk, but could you be more specific? You're really not giving us any kind of useful information.
What are you trying to connect to?
How far away is it?
Do you get any error messages?
What system version are you on? 4.4.4? 5.0.1? 5.1.1? I assume you're stock, so probably 5.0.1?
Can you have a friend with a different phone come over and try to connect to it to rule out the device itself being the problem?
FWIW, I highly doubt rooting your phone is going to do anything useful with your BT situation.
Not sure if this is a nougat issue or a Franco kernel issue, but when using Ford MySync or whatever it's called I show unknown artist unknown song as my display on my car audio screen. This same configuration was working fine on MM with France r10 but once I moved to Nougat it's been unable to give me artist and song info.
I've cleared cache, reinstalled apps, removed and added my car back as an audio source all with no luck in resolving. I have also looked through the Franco thread so I don't think it's related to his stuff. I am also updated to the latest kernel he released, no fix there. Not really anything else special on my device except magisk for root.
Is anyone else having this issue? It's kind of driving me crazy. I almost want to revert to factory and see if that changes anything but don't want to re-root etc.
I have searched this forum and others for a fix but everyone says it's app specific, which mine is not. It won't work in sound cloud, play music, YouTube, or any other media apps it was known working in before the update.
I have the same issue in my Mustang...

Are you rooted or using any non stock kernel? If rooted, what method? If kernel which? Thank a for the reply. Its nice to know it's not just me.
Rooted yes. I've tried stock kernel and Franco.

Took out my wife's 2015 explorer today and it has the same problems. I wonder if 4.10 will fix it? I'm holding off for a while before taking it...
I had the same problems with my car ( VW Passat 2014). I have the Sony Xperia ZX and HTC 10 and no problems with Bluetooth. I am using original rom and Nougat. It seems the is only Oneplus phones.
I've tried 4.10 and also now Lineage and it doesn't fix it on any of them. I'm guessing its firmware related then.
I'm having trouble connecting media on my kia!! Can receive calls but no media! Wtf tried to enable it and didn't work

I believe someone said it's OOS 4.0.3+ so 4.0.2 was fine. I can confirm because I experienced this after updating to 4.0.3.
This bug is actually a pretty big peeve of mine. I'm considering going back to 4.0.2 because of it
7.0 update fixed this for me but when I tired the 7.1.1 update it broke it again and also added a noticialbe lag when using the controls on in my car. I have since reverted back to using the 7.0 software.

So you are saying it does not work with OOS4.1?

It does not work on mine, unfortunately. It DID work for a day or two though.
I'm running daily Lineage OS using default kernel (usually Fusion kernel, however not right now since it's not updated for latest source) and working beautifully with my Volvo Sensus Connect, both bluetooth internet connection for car and Bluetooth audio with audio track text working. So probably some Ford mumbo jumbo. ?
I've heard this a bug with Oreo, but I've had this issue since Nougat. Essentially, I've tried connecting several Bluetooth devices to my OnePlus 3T with OOS 5.0.3 rooted w/ Magisk, and while I can get music and notifications to play, I can neither hear nor speak through the phone options using Bluetooth. I've searched for hours on Google as to why this may be happened, and while there are hundreds of reports and instances of this happening, there isn't a single consistent solution.
I've tried messing with the settings, codecs, deleting cache, deleting data from Bluetooth, repairing devices, deactivating Google Now, resetting the phone, you name it.
Is this a problem that is still prevalent with Oreo? This is probably the stupidest unsolvable thing I've ever encountered, and I'm convinced its software related, given that music and all other audio works.
Never had such issue with Nougat or Oreo.
Where did you read about such standard bug at Oreo?

Of those links, only the last one is relevant to the 3T.
What specific Bluetooth devices do you have the problem with?
I've use the phone feature with 3 different headsets, my car head unit, and a BT speaker, all with no issues with calls.
I have a problem with every Bluetooth device that uses phone features. This includes a Gear S3, Car Dongle and ear phones.
I have tried 2 BT SPEAKERS, 2 BT headset,.1 smart band and 1 smartwatch (moto 360).
No issues at all

I must have some kind of app causing the problem. I'm just not even sure which app it could possibly be.

Any Magisk modules being used? I haven't seen this Bluetooth issue specifically (from Magisk modules) but they can sometimes cause random bugs, and it is a good enough place to start as any.
I think the Samsung gear watches in general, do not play well with a lot of non-Sammy phones. At least from other threads I've seen around. But it is suspicious that you are having the issue on multiple Bluetooth devices (although you don't name the other brands). So I think you are on the right track, that it may be an app or something else peculiar to your device setup.
I've had the phone functions work just fine with Motorola, Plantronics, JBL headsets, JBL speaker, Subaru head unit (Kenwood made stereo, from what I understand).

I have the exact same issue. I've tried nougat/oreo.....official OOS....different roms also. Clean flashed the 3T but no luck.
Media audio works perfectly fine. As soon as somebody calls and I answer, the line becomes mute to whatever it is connected to. I've tried both with my car and BT speaker.
I then have to route the call to the ear pierce on the phone to be able to continue with the call.
Everyone I have found with this issue have sent their phones back for repairs.
OnePlus 3Ts seem to face an issue where if you're in a voice call using your SIM card, and also connected to some Bluetooth device at the same time, the WiFi seems to just s**t itself. It can't give more than 0.10 Mbps ever. It left me confused for a long time until I figured it was due to me calling on my Bluetooth headset/speaker. Truly annoying imo.
I finally figured it out. As I stated earlier, I was sure it was software based because music worked just fine, so I was looking for a culprit app that might have been hogging the phone audio/mic. Oddly enough, it was the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app. I went ahead an uninstalled it. That app was not worth being unable to use Bluetooth hands-free in my car.
I take that back. Suddenly, it's not working anymore, so I'm more inclined to believe there's something wrong with the phone speaker/mic suddenly hanging with apps other than the actual phone app. The Visual Voicemail app only exposed that there was an issue with this, but the app itself did not seem to be the problem.
Same problem here, I am on Oreo (final beta). Have you managed to find a solution?

A few months ago, when moving back from Oreo to Nougat for battery problems.
If you can confirm that on the last (stable?) Oreo release you are not facing this issue, I would really appreciate it and proceed with a factory reset.

I'm on stable OOS 5.0.6 (and multiple/sequential stable OOS builds before that) and never had issues with BT calls, using a headset and my car stereo.
2020, OnePlus 3T rooted magisk, android Pie, same bluetooth problem.
Hello All,
So since switching to the EU rom, I noticed that I am having issues with the RING app.
Not sure how many of you guys have RING cameras and use the RING app, but hoping that someone does.
Just curious to know, if you are using it, does your doorbell cam (or any other cams) work on the phone?
It works on my S10+ without an issue, while a few minutes later it does NOT work on the Mi 11 Ultra.
The timer is ticking and I can END the live call/view, but the camera picture is not working.
When I click on Live > Tap to Go Live > I get the following error where the video feed is supposed to be: Failed to connect. We're having trouble connecting to your Front Doorbell
Though if I go to the other phone I have, it works just fine.
So clearly its a phone issue and not the application or camera issue.
I am currently on Miui 12.5.17 EU rom, rooted, with LSposed installed. I've tried hiding magisk from Ring, but that did not solve the issue.
Any ideas?
I'm experiencing the same issue on the same ROM, no root, same version your on.

Do you have your work email, or any work related setup on your phone? Do you have a VPN app on your phone? These can cause this issue.
Hey, so I dont know what I did but the ring app started to work without issues later that day. or maybe the following day. This week has been a big blur at this point.
To further answer your question, yes, I do have a work profile set up through MS and all the MS apps, including InTune which I was able to install fine regardless of having the phone rooted, by using MagiskHide
I also have 2 sim cards in my phone, one personal TMO and one work from ATT
I dont know what combination of steps or actions I took to get it to work, but i was surprised myself that it started to work....
One thing I do remember doing is downloading an OLDER version of the app, which also did NOT work, but I figured I would just leave it installed for now since i didnt have time to go through any app updates. Then when I received a notification that someone was at the door, so I decided to just see if the video will work LIVE as someone was there, as opposed to a recorded motion (which did work on the phone without issue), and viola, it worked live... then eventually I did get around to updating to the latest version just to check and see if it will still work, and it did....
With regards to what the version of the Ring app was that I installed, I do not remember and I just checked the APKs I have on my phone and i do not see one. I think i might have used Aptoide app to download and install the older version. But I want to say it was from March of this year, so quite old, but I may be mistaken.
Nevermind, just found what the version was... Ring - Always Home v3.35.1

It's Intune and the work profile that installs phone security. The network masking that occurs causes the problems. Try removing it and testing it again.
I know that's the only changes I made on my phone before it stopped working.
I am 99.9 % sure that I tried the RING app BEFORE installing the work profile and thats when the issue was occurring...
not 100% thought, but 99.9%
But regardless..... as mentioned before.... It is currently working fine for me on the latest version of the Ring app... Not sure what I did to get it there, as I was not doing anything specific to fix the Ring app, but clearly something was done and everything now works as expected.

Congratulations, I meanwhile still have the same issue. Let me know if you ever find out how you fixed it.
Thank you.
See above...try to download the older version and run it for a day, hopefully that will get it to working? thats what i did, whether that was exactly what fixed the issue, i dont know, but worth a shot.

Old version of the app works. Maybe I'll wait until a new update is pushed. Last updated in September.
Actually, I lied before.... it DID NOT work on latest version. I just checked and it was NOT working....
I uninstalled and installed the older version and its back to working.
So i'll be using the older version.... As they say, if it ain't broke, dont fix it. so the old version will perfectly suffice
Any luck? Still struggling with this.
I've noticed that 12.5.17 has a lot of bugs. Waiting for another update desperately.
