I knew that Samsung will surely release jelly bean(OR at least ICS) for galaxy mini.
But it released for m2 :banghead:
Well not being jealous of mini2, but I had dreamt of and too have some kind of believe that Sam will surely release for mini too in good March, April in next year.

I have a samsung mini 2. Its not rooted, just stock rom.
I would like to have my phone rooted and also have jellybean 4.1 on it.
Kies is not working for me. I posted about that in Q&A !
In which order should I proceed ? root on gingerbread and than install JB via Odin ? or install JB via odin and than find a way to root ?

Root on gb , install clockwork mod recovery touch (thread in original dev)
u need odin only if u r not on gb and on froyo then u need odin to flash gb but i guess u r already on gb so u dont need odin
Then download jb rom from original dev go to cwm recovery (home+power) follow instructions on jb thread how to flash
And ur device will b running jb
Dont use rom manager or kies or anything else.

No but TheWhisp is working on porting CM10 to Mini2. No ETA on that one either but I think he is pretty close to a first release.

this is a official realese no diffrence in UI but i have debugged the apps my way , added small codes in framework for faster yet smoother ui , and off course played a little bit with libs

This also happens on other CM Roms (Pac Man Rom). So I guess it's an issues of CM?

Actually there is, M&M announced the following on their Novafusion Facebook page:
"Get ready for Android L for S3 Mini! We will do our best to deliver it! We start development as soon as sources get released!"
As for stock android Lollipop, it will probably be ported over to our device by other developers here on XDA.

I think he means AOSP (unmodified Android straight from google ).
Maybe they will port CM, AOKP, PA only, not AOSP.

Oh, I was really hoping for a TouchWiz port, but...

Oh sorry for the confusion.
The novafusion team mainly ports over the Cyanogenmod rom for our s3 mini along with other cyanogenmod based roms and aosp roms as well. Therefore the first version they would (probably) bring to our device is a cyanogen version of lollolipop (CM 12?) instead of the stock android lollipop set to come out on Nov 3rd. But as for stock roms, maybe you can try asking one of the developers that works with stock touchwiz roms in the development thread.

No point. I'm getting a S5 this Christmas. I was just hoping to upgrade my S3 Mini with a new TouchWiz ROM before I give it to my mom. Anyways, enough off topic

Ahh, i see. Well fyi, i downloaded the new stock messaging app that comes with android 5 Lollopop and it unfortunately produced quite a bit of lag when scrolling through the texts list on my kitkat s3 mini. I know that its probably not a fully optimized app ( it is unreleased) and that it would probably perform better using android 5, but it would probably give your mom a big headache for christmas instead... Lol... I suggest sticking to what you have now.

There is still problems with many kitkat roms (1ghz bug/clock freeze/excessive battery drain) I've yet to find a stable 4.4.4 rom that i can use daily (7 months of searching) i would imagine lolipop would bring some problems too. will keep thinking positive though, we have many amazing developers

Attention! This ROM has no Kernel included! You have to flash the one you like on your own. I suggest to
use the Arter97 Kernel or the SkyHigh Kernel by UpInTheAir. They are both very good.

Q: Are you including any theming mods in the next release?
A: Probably no. I like a close to stock looking phone. If you want to include them yourself, you can send me the file as a flashable zip and I will include it in the second Post.
Q: Why is there no Kernel included?
A: Because most of the Kernel developers don't like this. I recommend to use the Arter97 or the SkyHigh Kernel as stated above.

It uses the arter97 Kernel. I forgot to add this. I'm sorry.
As always. You can do a dirty flash but I recommend to start from the beginning and do a full wipe

Been running this ROM for a few hours and things are looking good! Very responsive and smooth. Kudos for the Air Command features, it might come in use. Thank you

When you do a full wipe (which I highly recommend) you have to. Otherwise you don't but you will face bugs...

You are right dude, and they released v4.2 of lp too i think...and a separate s6 rom too....the OP have to look into this to avoid confusions and critics from other users...

I'm having troubles with the pattern lock and VPN apps.
It keeps crashing, and also when i try to put a pattern lock or put None, or facial unlock, its on gray saying that its disabled from the admin rights or the credentials storage, when i try to erase the credentials the Config UI crashes and doesnt delete them.
I'm using the i9190 Version of the s4 mini.
