Problems installing ROM Mahdi 2.9 KitKat 4.4.4 for Xperia SP
Hello everyone!
I'm new here on posting, but I always read XDA everytime I need something. Anyway... hope to have a help from someone... here is my problem:
I have a Xperia SP and like everyone who updated it to the last version of android 4.3, my phone does not work well anymore.
So I tried to install a custom ROM hoping to have my phone well working back again, and I think I did everything as it should...
1) Downgraded the android to 4.1, this way I could use the xploit for 1 click routing. So I used the flashtool and downgraded it.
2) Root the 4.1 android using the TowelRoot. Worked fine.
3) installed the ClockWorkMod for installing the new ROM.
4) this is where the problem happens... when opening the Mahdi ROM 2.9 (4.4.4 Kitkat Huashan) right after extracting, it gives me an error #7 and simply does not install. I tried to install CM11 as well, but I couldn't install neither.
I already Rooted and unlocked the bootloader in all the tries I made. I already spent about 15 hours on it, I'm very frustated!
Is there anything I might be forgeting to do?

Floating mode
I have a Xperia SP with mahdi rom witch by the way, it changed my world regarding phones. The only problem is i do not know how to resize a window in floating mode. I mean, floatin mode does not help at all. I can not open two windows in floating mode, i can not resize .... and obviosly i can not switch from one window to another. So i searched all my phone options and i do not fiind any settings. Please help ... I want to use mahdi features at maximum ... It's great ..
I have noticed that sometimes my data traffic autostarts... I think that that is not normal. As i said i am using xperia sp with Mahdi rom.

i ' ve seen that it has a bug. when i turn off using mobile data then turn off the screen, then i turn on the screen, the mobile data is automatically turn on. Can u fix that, please

Thanks a lot; interesting ROM. I have gone through a number of KK ROMs including SlimKat project (nice, but sluggish and some features like camera not working properly). DayDream 1.8 OFFICIAL- nice interface and pretty quick, most features OK, but again camera app not doing the job all the time (long time to launch and also exposure problems and weird upside down picture?) and which seems to be the problem of all CM10 or higher based ROMS No BT calls working (which I use in my car when driving); GPS seem to take a long time to get a fix, but eventually is getting there. So I keep testing and wait for new updates, maybe some bug fixes? All the best!

BT Calls is not work CM10.1 , CM10.2, CM11.0. I can't fix it.
But GPS maybe can fix it.

can any member help me please.i flashed the new bootload mentioned trwp to flash this rom day dream.but once i tried to enter recovery my phone lg p990 is stuck on lg red logo and the worse of all my usb debugging is disabled.i am on ics stock based rom.my pc wont recognise my phone.more than this i can power on phone but cant power off it but to pull out the battery.is there a solution for this case?

Didn't expect such a great stability and performance (and working features) from first public Lollipop ROM. Reboots occur sometimes (adb shell screenrecord crashed, AFAIK it is related to Tegra blobs), but the biggest surprise for me was that the ROM is smooth!

Someone reported it not working on the 2-1 version, and given that the second post says the dev can't test it themselves, I highly doubt it'll work on the 4-1 version.
Then again, I have no way of trying it myself, really, which at this point is the best way to know for sure.

android wear working really well on build 4\1\15 .so i think ble is ok(not fast as on cm11)
How to turn off google search bar on the screen. Search in setting the bar button operation does.
Sorry don't quite understand the question. But if you are trying to get rid of the search bar on the homescreen you have to install another launcher like Nova Launcher
I can't take root in this rom, I flashed supersu from recovery but when i turned on the device used to say that i had not root permissions, I noticed that the ram was also neatly full. Now i reflashed the rom and it is back to normal. Can you help? Sorry for my english.

for me working great.
Stupid question but i cant flash WerewolfJB v10 kernel and Mourta 9.02 without problems.
On WerewolfJB i dont have network data, but on Mourta kernel i have problem with Dialer (cant open apk, only FC)
On stock kernel i dont have any problems.

gogreous rom! fast , smooth and no bugs at all for me
gratified to see that our p880 has L now , flashed the mourta kernal and got 23758 on benchmark!
Battery drain
I love this ROM - the best I had to date, but unfortunately I have enormous issue with battery drain. Before flashing, batery life was average and I could use it for few hours straight. But now when I use the phone it can even drain 20% within 10 minutes. When the phone is sleeping it drains battery normally. When I used CPU Spy it showed that the phone on awake mode is using almost all the time full CPU power. I'm using baseband LGP880AT-00-V20b-EUR-XXX-JUL-17-2013. Also the phone is heating very much. Which also makes me concerned.
I never had issues like this on other custom roms. I also use the ROM from January 6. If you can please help - I really like this ROM, but if nothing can't be done I will have to go back to something else.

You need to enable root in settings/developer options. Don't install any superuser-app. Superuser access doesn't require an app now, it's been tied to privacy guard on latest build.

I can't start outgoing calls. When is start a call the phone says call can't started. Incoming calls working

I encounter in last build and on latest build a black screen when i answer a call.
and i cant hear any voice on when i answer
need to pull the battery to back to normal.
everything is fine on me .. i notice a heat on CPU but minimal.
i reduce Max Freq to 1100mhz to reduce heating problem.
signal is working but it has a "!" ? dont know what is that.
and anyone try the Cyiodak Kernel? that is the best kernel on LS Rom

Mobile Data and Outgoing Calls
Under the Version of the 4th January I had the Problem that i could make any outgoing calls or use Mobile Data. Wifi, aswell as, sending and recieving SMS and recieving calls worked fine. After i upgraded to the Version of the 6th January i had the same Problem.
Then I wiped data etc. and installed the Version of the 6th January directly. After that I had the Problem that my SIM-Card locked itself every 1 or 2 minutes so I had to enter my PIN over and over again. After that i did another clean install with the Version of the 4th January. Same Problem with Mobile Data and Calls as I had the first time.
Today i tested the Version of the 8th of January. The same problem occured with Calls and Mobile Data and I althought could not connect my phone with my Laptop via Bluetooth.
Does anyone have a solution for me?
I found one minor problem which i althought post here because I can not post in the Dev.-Thread (I am new here, therefor i can only post here).
The camera works fine, in making photos and making videos but it is getting laggy when I change from back- to frontcamera.
Overall the ROM seemed pretty smooth and as far as I can tell the rest works fine and I would love to use it as my everyday ROM but I can not resign on doing calls and using Mobile Data.
Do you need a log? I made one but I am not sure how i should send it to you.

No. I don't think so. Your captivate won't bootup with this ROM + Neat kernel
i9000 kernel
Hello,
I have slimbean on my captivate with semaphore. When I try to flash this rom, it tells me that my phone is a i9000 instead of an i897, which it actually is. Which Kernel can I flash that works with this rom, but also is a captivate kernel?

That would be cause you flashed the I9000 version of Slimbean. You can change it in your build.prop but wouldn't suggest it if you're new at it.
Go into your phone settings and check what variant/version is says you have. If it says I9000, you'll have to flash the I9000 version. That being said, if you're 100% your phone is an I897, flash back to stock, grab the I897 Slimbean and then flash Semaphore.

5.0.2 With Gapps has been my daily driver for a few weeks now, its really smooth. Only thing that seems laggy to me is making calls, and the time lapse between receiving a call and the screen waking up.
5.1 Is worked even more smooth, only issue that I've had is for some reason, I'm not able to access Data with my APN. All my settings are correct. WIll try flashing again, to see if that might help. Is there anything that you recommend? Data worked fine with 5.0.2.

Random Reboot
I am still experiencing random reboots. Normally it happens if i am on the call for 8-10 min.
Works smooth
Works smoothly on my captivate no problem in connection to buttons functioning. although it has many bug issues timely some developers would fix them. Many Thanx to Humber OS creator cause of for captivate the exclusive LP OS made available.

I've been using this series of ROMs practically since they were released. I wanted to say a huge thank you to HumberOS and Monfro for the work they have done.
I personally have found, after testing each release, that Monfro's April 5.1 port is the most stable, smooth, and quick of all of them. I can't really vouch for anything related to taking calls though, as I don't have a SIM in it.

I have a Samsung Captivate i897 and just put 4.4.4 KitKat on it. Running a bit slow. How does OS version 5 work on the captivate? If people had to recommend a particular OS that was the most current you could get without any real loss in performance what would it be? Found 2.3.5 was fine the few minutes I was on it. But that's pretty old. Was originally going to go for 4.2.2 but found an article on 4.4.4 so went straight to it. Curious other's opinions.

Beeping noises during calls
Hello,
I just installed Resurrection Remix® 4.4.2 KitKat v5.1.5 in my Samsung Galaxy S i1900, everything works smooth except during calls, it makes random beeping noises, and no its not the minute reminder, it like every 4-5 seconds makes a beep-beep-beep.
Can anyone help me, how to fix this ?

I have the legendary I9000, running Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXJVU, and kernel version Semaphore_2.5.0, rooted and superuser access. Also I have CWM recovery mode, Semaphore CWM Recovery v5.0.2.7. The problem is, that this android version is very slow and laggy, and I want to flash a smoother and faster rom. Is this SPIRIT ROM ok, for what I want, or do you recomend another one? If you do recomend this one, is it possible flashing it into my device, following your tutorial, or do I have to do something else??

system notification issue
Hi guy,
I tried this ROM and I liked very much, but there is a problem with the system of notifications.
They not always appear ... and seem to be constantly overlapping. Moreover, even in the unlock screen (when there are) are positioned above the clock.
I also noticed that in the multitasking thumbnail images do not come out and I think the problems are connected between them.
it happened to someone else? How have you solved if there is presented this problem?

Hello, I have just started trying out this rom and I am faced with a wi-fi problem.
That is my I9000 failed to detect my router wi-fi which I believe is 802.11n. The weird thing is it has managed to detect wi-fi tethering from my other phone(plus another wi-fi within range). My home router is broadcasting SSID and using manual input doesn't help. This is my first time facing this problem despite testing several other ROMs in the past.
