Hi,
I'm running an htc one m7 with "android revolution hd" rom version 4.x.
For some reason lately, just started a dew days ago; the phone is stuck at 23% while on charge.
I powered the device off last night and stuck it on charge, i monitored for a while and saw it go up to 30%. Today when i checked it, it was down to 23% again with phone off??
What's going on?
When i power it up it claims the device is using too much power to charge... I'm charging it the same way for ages without any issue; what could have happened, is the battery destroyed I wonder?
Thanks for any help.

I think that this is something wrong with ROM. Have you tried to charge your phone when it's turned off?

I did try to charge while off.... the phone went from 30% to 23% in a hurry!
Just updated to Android Revolution HD 4.4.3 and now seems to have charged.
Hopefully this will be ok now but I'm still not a 100% if it is "fixed"....
if you're not sure and the problem will come back, the best solution is flashing RUU for your CID.
My thoughts that it was a bug are probably right as its fully charged now and hasn't heated up like before.
We'll see though it's still early days yet.
Thanks for the suggestions in the meantime

my friend rooted it last year hasnt had any issues. is running ultimate droid (not sure which version).. had a full charge this morning. was working fine. only sent a few texts through out the day.. he had it in his pocket and when he took it out it was on the moto screen. it kept bootlooping then all of a sudden went black and wouldnt turn back on. have tried everything. battery pull, charging, x+power. this phone will not turn on or even charge. (although it had at LEAST 50% charge when it shut off) any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!

Did he have it overclocked? Hopefully the motherboard didn't fry itself.
no I don't think so. I think he just had whatever kernel came with the rom. its just weird. he didn't have any issues with it then it just suddenly did this. still won't turn on.

Hello,
I own a 5 month old htc one m7. From past few days I have observed that the battery is draining unusually from 100%-85%.Today I observed that it came down to 88% from 100% in half an hour during which the phone was just in standby mode with no background apps running. Is this normal? Please suggest me what to do.
Shut it off and charge it

is google location services on?? if it is, turn it off immediately. go 2 settings-apps-all. see all the background services running. close them all. My One is 3 months old, but doesn't drain so fast

still turn it off. it will definitely help
To add to the good advice the other people have stated you can try to better calibrate the percentage of your device by letting it run completely down to the point where your phone shuts off. While its off plug it in. Keep it off while its charging. Once its green turn the phone back on, still keeping it plugged in. The indicator will go green to red for a short time. Once your at 100% then you can unplug and use your phone. By running it down to zero and leaving it off and fully charging it you essentially are calibrating the device.
Currently its off, and if it drops to 90% or so within minutes theres a good chance it could do the opposite when it gets so 5% or less. It might sit there for an hour or so because the calibration is off.

It didnt work for me
Ever since Lollipop, my HTC One M8 has been a battery hog! I'm running Venom 4.x.x and my battery only lasts less than 7 hrs. Yesterday my battery completely died, I went home to charge and it won't turn on at all. The red charge light kind of flickers when plugged in and nothing when unplugged. It's been charging for 19 hours and still nothing. What could possibly be wrong? Is there any way to recover from this?
**bump**
Did you find a solution ? I had a problem yesterday withy phone I was flashing a mod and didn't put attention about battery levels , during flashing my phone went off and the battery charging light started flashing and displaying a battery on my screen . Since then I haven't been able to turn it on anymore, I keep it plug in the charger all night and nothing

Wierdest thing happened tonight. I was talking on my phone and the damn thing shut down and wont turn back on. I had about 30% battery left on it. I tried charging it with several chargers and nothing, no charge light, nothing. Anyone ever hear of this happening? Im currently s off'ed, running the latest badboyz sense 6 rom.
Update.... Got it working somehow. I left it on the charger for a few hours, I picked it up to mess with it and the charging light was blinking. I screwed around with it a few more times and got it to start charging. I have absolutely no idea why it did that. Hopefully it doesn't happen again before I trade it in, I don't feel like dealing with the nightmare of getting a replacement.
Its a battery going bad, most likely, they take no time to put a new one in.

I've had it happen to me twice, it's a bug with the phone. Each time, there was somewhere between 20% and 35% battery, then it just turned off, no warning. If it happens again, just let it charge some. :good:
Hi guys,
Yesterday I was watching a YouTube video, when my phone suddenly froze and shut off.
It was on low battery, so i thought it ran out of charge and connected it to the charger
(if that matters, the first time I connected it to Qualcomm fastcharge)
and went to sleep. Today, same thing happening. No reaction whatsoever. No vibration. No screen ligthup.
How can I fix this? Maybe if that helps, I was using Project Elixir. Thanks in advance.
Update: Since no response, I am taking it to the repair shop.
