Anyone know how to enter into Diag mode with GPe ROM flashed on Sprint M8?
The usual code, ##3424# does not work. Also *#*#3424#*#* doesnt work either.
You don't, unless you're on a Sense ROM.
Unless you have EPST you dont do those codes
So how to get EPST?
This makes me wonder on how it happens on the Sprint GPe device itself?
Found a way to put in Diag mode:
echo 1 > /sys/class/android_usb/f_diag/on

So I can't access diag mode on the Remix (Mini 2 for Verizon). I assume it's a verizon thing. I use weaksauce to get root on bootup, so I'm sure I can try to install the APK from someone. MY HTC M8 calls it DM Command Service. Not sure what it is called on the mini 2s but if someone could find it, and provide it for me that would great. I'm assuming VZ does not like people toying around with data settings, which I get, but I back up my phones via CDMA Workshop and I need it in Diag mode for that. I forgot if it was in /system/apps or /system/priv-apps.
Pleeease!!! I tried all the cominations of 3424; ie ##3424# and *#*#3424#*#*. They don't work and the APK not being there may explain it...

I haven't tested this in a while but ViperROM had a way to access "Advanced Options" in their tweaking center. You might want to give that a try.

Would you happen to know if it was a particular version of ViperROM?
Title.
All I really want to do is find my MSL code. I don't really want to call sprint though. I would very much appreciate it if someone could give me a working method.
I'm also rooted (in-case that helps)
you can read msl if your diag mode is enable, if diag mode is disable. you need to enable it, but for that root is required.
##3424# you can check your diag status or also in your pc device manager.
su
echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/lg_diag_cmd/diag_enable
now diag is enable.
you can read spc from cdma workshop, its quite easy and google is your friend

Google has not been my friend recently. I was using oriax123's flash tool to find it. I wasn't able to find it because it would always come up blank. I then relized you needed to be in DIAG mode. I was able to find it after that. Thanks for your reply though.

For mentioned model i do not get any type of Bootloader interface detected as hardware in device menager. Which also means i can not access it from adb in order to unlock bootloader. I have found some talk about switching into Unlock mode from Odin mode but can not find a way to do it. This also happens while i did USB debbiging and OEM unlock set on. I have latest Pie on it if that makes any difference.
I hope anyone has some advice on how to solve this and that you in advance

Go into developer options and toggle OEM unlock on. That's all that is required on Samsung's.

That's probably because of some recent locks Samsung has made. It used to be easier with Samsung . But anyway, look here for more details. https://forum.xda-developers.com/sa...w-to/guide-root-install-twrp-samsung-t3747535
