Emergency call only after updating to jb

Well the title says it all, my razr I came with ICS (claro Argentina) flashed RT br 4.1.2 (more precisely 9.8.2I-50_SML-20_Retail_BR_SIGNED_SLATAMUnlk_USASMI01RETBRLA01D.0R_CFC_fb.xml) and, everything works fine (3g navigation included) but I can't make calls or send sms messages, I tested the sim on other phones, and it works ok, did a factory reset, and the same.. any ideas? it seems also that I can't go back to my original rom...
Well, if anyone reading this, it solved by himself, I guess it was an issue with my operator, and it didn't have anything to do with the flashing

I did nothing, but let me recapitulate :
-My razr i arrived, but without the micro sim
-I cut my sim into a microsim, used for a couple of hours fine, updated to jb, EC only
-The sim worked fine on my older phone
-The next day in the morning the micro sim arrived, put it on my razr i, emergency calls only, switched to my old sim aaaand magically, it started working.
And thats it.
You should go to your company operator.

[Q] SIM card not detected

my phone stopped recognizing any SIM cards all of a sudden. I saw that there is issue with the one X but I don't think I see anyone having this issue with the one. I haven't tried the tape method yet.
Anyone experiencing this issue too? Should I ask for a replacement?

First try reseating the sim card. Also is this a micro sim card or a cut down one? If after reseating the sim card it does this again then I would take it back as there is something not right. I heard of this with one other unit a while back but it only happened once and after a reseat it was good, so not common like one x.

I've started to have this problem too, sometimes it won't happen for a few weeks but recently it's been happening once a day. Should I be looking to get a replacement or just software reset the phone?

Go via Warranty.
Well same happened to me at first I though was the sim reader but it was the rom that suddenly stop reading the sim and I don't know why. The solution was to flash a different rom and now I am with kitslim. To check the sim reader I used the app "sim card by gsmdev" such app allows to read the sim information like contacts imei etc so if that app reads that info means that the sim reader is OK and you need to flash a different rom or the same. Hope this help
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
check "network mode" in "mobile network settings" .....

Check if your imei is intact, perhaps you could flash an FTF file which will replace the OS so back everything up first.
Make sure you are inserting the sim correctly (i know you probably are but it's worth checking) ones the sims in the phone it should reboot, could be that the contacts which hold the sim aren't raised enough, don't bother fixing them just take it back if that's the case, if the sim has been inserted incorrectly then theres a chance that the contacts may be bent and if that's the case then your warranty will be void, but in all fairness it sounds like a dodgy phone rather than any of the above.
I'd still do the FTF flash anyway, it's probably the best shot you've got, oh and i've noticed that some peoples phones will read sims and others won't so the fact that it works in yours and not hers although weird, isn't conclusive. Try another sim too.

SIM-error and hangups

I recently purchased Nexus 6 and since it uses nano-sim, I used a sim-card cutter to make my micro-sim a nano sim. Worked fine for a while but then all of a sudden I started getting messages about no sim card. Reboot always fixes the issue, but this happens like 30 times a day, so rebooting the phone that often doesn't seem like a good idea. The phone also freezes all the time, no matter what I do, and then at other times it works like a wonder. I've had a Nexus 6 phone before (this is my 2nd) and it had the same issue. Apparently nothing was wrong with it.
Is the SIM-card causing these freezes, or is this a part of the world-wide issue that has been reported recently in the media? No other phone has had issues with my SIM-card, even though I used the cutter to make it nano. So I doubt it's a faulty sim-card. I've tried LG G4, Xperia z3+ and others and they've not had any issues with the cut sim.
edit
I've noticed the freezing happens most when I've recently charged the phone. Last night I left the phone on charger and when I woke up, the phone had switched itself off.
edit2
I've tried resetting the phone, also hard reset. Didn't help.
A method to check if your cutted sim card is damaged or not is to remove the sim card and replace it with a working sim card of another phone.
