Not a slagging of match about which custom rom is best. Just want people to share what lollipop custom rom they're using and why. It might be useful if we mention the very things that attract us to the various lollipop roms, for instance am on cataclysmic due to the smart radio mostly which is the main reason am attracted to cataclysmic and code blue kernel, because this combination offers me the best performance. I have previously used franco kernel, but since it hasn't been updated for a while, code blue is the way for me .
Link no more words
Optipop since it came out. It's crazy fast and smooth with almost no bugs with regular updates and the developer is very community friendly and listens to people's requests.
Optipop Odexed with Hellscore kernel..! Lollipop can't be more smooth..
Am on, cataclysm mainly because it's the closest thing to inteli3g on his smart radio feature. Overall also it's also a solid rom, with no rebootes.
cheers ?

Encouraged by the people in the Trinity Four Thread, I'd like to present the Primerunner on XDA. It aims to be a simple and lightweight rom based on AOSP. Stability is also of critical concern to me. Should be usable as a daily driver.
It was initially built -with fun in mind- for my friends and me, but I was persuaded to share it, so here you are.
Some features of the rom
Primerunner^TM navbar - automatic layout change from 3 to 4 buttons
enhanced QuickSettings with support for long-press/click
pulling notifications in the top-right corner opens QS
custom bootanimation by uRRs
custom navbar icons by uRRs (moved to a separate zipthemer addon)
custom wallpapers by buddhalou
Koush's Superuser
enhanced power menu, only visible if unlocked
notification led customization
theme engine
minimal options
loads of bugfixes and optimizations "under the hood"
built from source
bull****-free
Extras
uRRs' Predator-style ZipThemer softkeys, packaged by @smenes
simple Primerunner wallpapers by @buddahlou
Sony Sketch fonts by @smenes
Primerunner theme engine theme (beta)
Still some things to do...
various cosmetics, theming
own settings front-end for QS, sync tile
move wallpaper contributions to own apk done
persistent Primerunner navbar mode
other things i probably don't remember
...
Shout-outs
for keeping their source open all the time. Couldn't have learned so much how things work in Android without them:
everyone living out the open-source philosophy, especially
the Evervolv team
the CyanogenMod team
the AOKP team
the Trinity/Rasbean team
and Sparksco
Instructions
download and flash via recovery (gapps already included)
flash your favorite kernel afterwards, if applicable
if you're coming from another rom, perform a wipe first
it is rumored that a wipe is not always needed, but this is unsupported here
Complete history
Primerunner sources (usually updated in due time)
Downloads
Get Primerunner within the thread, via Rom Manager or here:

Feel free to request features, but be aware that I won't include them necessarily if I don't see a reason.
New versions are released whenever I find spare time to work on the rom (or if a critical bug is fixed).
Enjoy!

Been running this ROM for 2 days since stumbling across it in the trinity thread; hands down one of the smoothest and fastest Roms I've ever tried. Currently running it with Matrix 6.0 gpuOC and its smooth, fast and I'm getting amazing battery life. Love the auto 3 to 4 nav bar and custom icons (maybe prefer some different icons but they're cool). It's got all the tile options I need, only request would maybe be some percentage battery mods (which I'm sure there are some flash able ones I could apply but didn't want to risk messing up anything with your ROM as it's running so smooth!). Thanks for your great work

A bit off topic but I just compared the details of your scores to mine (I'm running Jellybro) and noticed that the biggest difference between this ROM and mine is in the RAM performance. I'm getting identical scores in graphics and IO (I get 7391 IO in quadrant). I can also deduct from the scores that only the floating point performance is better while the integer is even. I do have slight clock advantage as I am running 1836.
I hope this info is helpful

graphics should be the same, as we are limited to 60fps(there are hacks to increase this, but its not a true more than 60 fps), the i/o should be similar as it will vary a little up/down per run.
I can't get the quick settings control panel to save to save the order I want the tiles to be in. Doesn't seem to change for me. Other than that this ROM is very nice and stable. Love the nav bar soft keys, very cool.

You have to enable the tiles in the order you want. After that, just reboot. Everything will be fine.
I know it's pesky. We got to deal with that, until we got a new settings frontend.

I wasn't sure if I wanted CyanogenMod on the Nexus 4. I tried the stock android for a week or so and was dithering on it. Finally I decided to try CM (I've used it on all my previous Nexus devices) and I was reminded why it's just plain awesome! Within minutes I was delighting in the additional options, the extra preferences, the ability to drag down at the right to open the switch screen, all that stuff. It's pure magic.
If you're a tinkerer, I recommend it. The monthly release has been pretty stable for me so far.

I like the stock, but there were lots of things I realised after installing that I'd missed from earlier CyanogenMod versions. I like the additional customisability of it. I can see that stock makes more sense if you want a phone to work reliably with minimal tweaking. Personally, I like to be able to configure it just the way I like it, to tune and tweak the power icons, the various panels, and so on. For example, I particularly like being able to disable the search bar on the homescreen and stretch the launcher to fill the screen. But horses for courses...

Hi,
More this one for help and questions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33588118
ROM: Stock MDL Deodexed Rooted
Kernel: KT SGS4 Kernel (6/10/13 build so Dual Shot still works)
Mods: CrossBreeder, Xposed with Nottach Settings, 1X/3G Mod, CRT-Off Animation, Hotspot Mod, Reboot Mod, N7 Animation Port and Android 4.3 Camera **All credit goes to the creators of those mods!**
Theme: Stock, sometimes I'll switch to a lightly themed AOSP look
Goodies: Google Now on and fully functioning and all Samsung features on (Air Gesture, Air View, S-Voice and all of it's functionality, etc.)
Favorite Apps to enhance experience: Google Now, Tapatalk, Beautiful Widgets, Android Pro Widgets and Floating Notifications
My phone runs SO smooth. Zero lag what so ever and it's just such a smooth as silk UI and it just looks beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend the crossbreeder app because I definitely notice a difference I can guarantee you that. My favorite ROM by far has been the stock ROM, I legit haven't even tried another ROM yet because I love the stock one so much and with all those mods it's like I'm running my own custom ROM, I do however plan on trying the Google Edition S4 ROM sooner or later though. If you like smoothness, some [email protected]$$ mods and just the "cool factor" look I would recommend trying out some of those mods as I've linked all of them. With all of this, according to GSam Battery Monitor I still average about 1 1/2 days of battery life with an average screen on time of about 4 hrs!
Feel free to post your setup and what you're running and why you run it!
No one else wants to share?! Got this idea from the Verizon general section and it seemed like a cool concept. Guess not

Nope, AOSP is coded differently to Sense5. Meaning the code doesn't just work and requires a lot of rewriting ect.
I believe halo had to be built in when your building aroma from source and since devs don't build sense from source it can't be built in.

if you really want Halo you can use PAC rom or PA itself because they are both really stable right now (have used both of them) but obsessively you lose a couple of sense features (i dont mind lol). But most likely Halo will never be on sense, but there is an app in the play store that makes your notification like that, but I have never tried it.
You will never see HALO in any non AOSP ROM. That's something you can count on.
I like how the guy asked something, not knowing the extent of what would be needed to actually do it, and gets a dozen "nope!"
I'm assuming he got the gist and didn't needed 30 chime-ins

no one wants halo on sense .. do we?
While I think it would be a serious challenge, I'm not sure it'd actually be impossible. Miui builds based on OEM roms work on the same principle as what would need to be done to put halo into a sense build.
Additionally I think that the xposed module could be a big part of making this happen..
That being said, it's certainly not something I could do.
It's not impossible per se. But would take mountains of work as sense roms don't get built from source. So you can't merge it the ui and java edits needed.

Why this is not popular here? Cuz there is no official rom for n4. All the versions you see here are ports. Miui experience is thus not the best, but its not too bad. Personally i am hooked to more features like pie and halo etc thus making miui a little less attractive.

MIUI is ugly! Chinese imitation of IOS....

I respect your opinion...however, i just saw iso7 ...it is beautiful but it looks like a cheap imitation of Android Miui. This is not an imatition of IOS... THIS IS ANDROID!!

It's a great rom I'm till using it and love it. I mean it doesn't have that buttery smooth scrolling as the stock vanilla, but it's barley noticeable . Thanks goes to Datsun.510 for porting this rom onto the nexus 4
Looks pretty sweet...I've used the v5 theme, but the experience itself looks compelling, as do the themes:

Not a big fan of MIUI, kinda reminds me of iOS.
The themes look nice tho but I rather stick to the vanilla android like experience.

I'm currently satisfied with Stock, after trying 99% of the roms out there.
Now I want to flash MIUI v5 (3.9.13 is the latest as far as i know) and see if it is any good.
I see that MIUI isn't very popular here as it is on the Gnex forums or other devices such as sony and samsung forums.
What do you guys think about it - Good or bad ? please state why

Not the best rom out there. Then again that very sentence is subjective. I prefer a less skinned aosp type of rom.
looks good but it works bad in my opinion and since i'm not a big fan of chinese mobile, no offence but let's stick with the identity of pure google! :cyclops:
I fell in love with miui with my Galaxy SL i9003 then with my xperia arc s lt18i and now with my nexus, where battery life, interface and smoothness is incredible... Now I am not using it, but I allways come back
Ehhhhh its OK pretty simple and elegant but it has negatives also...in my opinion its mainly extra useless apps and no app drawer
