Hi All,
I had this problem with I uninstalled SwiftKey. When I tried to re-install it from the PlayStore I now get this message.
My device is not yet rooted and based on the solutions that I've read, you need to have access to the data\data folder which using the file explorer, has no files most probably because it's not rooted.
Is there other way to solve this issue without being rooted?
Thanks a lot!

I have a rooted samsung fascinate, with stock rom/kernal..
Anywho I was playin around with installing some apps and I wanted to install the free version of Printershare, but instead of getting it from the market I used an APK file to install it from my sd card. Well the file appears to have been corrupted, so I attempted to uninstall it through root explorer, as well as remove all traces of the program. When I went to reinstall the program from the APP market, I now get the error "Installation Failed.. Update Incompatible." I searched around to figure out what that meant and in the process I noticed that the com.dynamixsoftware.printershare package was still listed in my manage apps section, but I am not able to uninstall it from there. I searched for it in root explorer but like I said I deleted all traces of printershare before so i didnt find it there. If anybody can help me with this issue it would be greatly appreciated!! THX!
PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong section I'm new to XDA
Try downloading Titanium Backup from the market. There is a free version and it should take care of your problem. If not, some others have recommended a program simply called Installer for Root.
Guys, by mistake I deleted/uninstalled "Bluetooth Share" on my Note using Titanium backup. I found the "BluetoothOpp.apk" but I'm not able to install it. As of now, Bluetooth doesn't show up when I try to share a file.
I get the message "Application not installed" while trying to install the APK. Could anyone please help me out here?
I'm using a Stock 2.3.6 rooted ROM.
Dear yawnlike,
Copy file directly to /system/app/ with a file explorer with root ability like root explorer and then reboot...
Kind regards.

As of this morning, my kindle fire HD 7" was reset back vanilla launcher and un-rooted.
I have re-rooted but keep getting the error "com.estrong..fs.FileSystemException: Permission Denied" whenever I attempt to move my launcher files to system/app
My file explorer has root privileges and I do have my device rooted but it just kind of stumped me.
Does anyone know of a way around this; Has this happened to anyone else within the last 24 hours?
P.S:
My System Version is 7.4.3
File Explorer: ES File Explorer (With all root options selected)
Anyone have any idea?
I still have no idea what's causing the issue.

which method did you used to root kfhd !??
try to root your kf again if the problem is still unresolved !!
first root with restore and after that root with qemu. it's been my way of doing it trough all the amazon updates. it NEVER failed
if you have problems with superSU, just uninstall it and install superuser from market.

I feel like such an idiot..
It turned out the system folders weren't mounted.. So I was getting denied root access..
I had gotten the new version of ES File Explorer (Which I'm not used too), which was giving me the problems.. So I Downloaded FX File Explorer and saw that it wasn't mounted and just NOW finally found how to mount with ES...
Sorry for the post, I feel so freaking stupid.. =/
Hi all,
I'd make a silly mistake earlier and I need help. This is what happened:
1) download and installed an apk from apk mirror (Google Phone);
2) the apk installed over the app already installed on my phone;
3) when opening the app, it says "device not supported";
4) download the correct apk but unable to install as app is already installed (the earlier installed apk);
My phone is not rooted (64/128). Any ideas on how to reinstall the correct app without getting the "device not supported" message?
Thank you and any help is greatly appreciated.

Can you try to disable the app and then to enable it back?
There isn't an option to disable the app as it is a system app. However, I'd managed to get this sorted. My solution - factory reset the phone! All is well now, despite the fact that I was unavailable for nearly an hour downloading and reconfiguring all my daily apps
Thanks, anyways.

You can disable system apps, you can't uninstall them
