Oh does Titanium Backup keep the playlists? I've restored Poweramp after flashing new roms and it didn't seem to keep my playlists that I had created on the phone before.

i performed a quick search on google and i saw this app for the G1.
Shall i download it for n1 or just load them songs and play?
cyan for the g1 had it, and I doubt he took it out of his nexus build.
if someone running that could confirm it please, it would give me more of a reason to root and flash a rom. to play my flac files ive been using subsonic which transcodes them...sooo essentially its not playing the flac file
works perfectly, just copied a flac over to the phone
Which rom are you using?

Glad I helped, I wasn't sure because after only a week of owning it, I haven't had a chance to try anything but Desire ROMs.

no,it doesnt recognize flac files
well,i jus copied the folders with the flac's
am i supposed to do it another way?
It's in the first post of his thread so obviously it's user error... Did you reboot or refresh the media server/rescan the sdcard (look at the other thread if you don't know how)?

i m rebooting the n1 now
i m not going to install cyanogenmod again though,i had problems and decided to stay away from custom ROMs
ok i m navigating to the music folder with Astro,go into the albums with .flac's,select a file,"File type flac not found"

Then you won't have FLAC support.
until google does it eh
search for Meridian in market, support flac even in stock phone
unless you are lazy to convert flac to ogg/mp3,
there's not much point in playing flac as the n1's audio output is not that great

Thats normal The file type is not registered in Astro (or is this taken from some Android settings?) It works fine if you use the Media Library that comes with the default player. There you can select your file.
I found mine in the "Recently added" playlist while doing the test. Maybe the flac needs to have proper tags to be found. To emphasize again: This is a feature that comes with the cyanogen mod and will *not* work in the stock rom
@FloOGB: yea i get that i need cyanogenmod.maybe i ll install it again later whtn it is more stable
@kiddyfurby: thanks dude
I've checked some Roms out any that u guys suggest? i mostly listen to music apps and do the FB/messenger deals. I don't care much about nascar app only want springs navi and youtube to work as well. Ok.
What ROM?
1.Personally I use Damage Control, but really all the ROMs here are awesome. Damage just put out DC2.09 which includes a revamped music app. Also, Sprint Navi and YouTube work in his builds. It is also a pretty stable ROM, so you could try that.
What is a Nandroid?
2. A nandroid is a system image that is made using the recovery menu that was part of the recovery image flashed during the rooting process. There is a menu for Backup/Restore and then there is a Nandroid option and Nandroid+ext option. The former is if you are not using Apps2SD, and the latter is in case you are using Apps2SD. This nandroid is a full backup copy of all the information from your current ROM. The reason people say to make one before trying anything is to avoid the headaches involved if something goes wrong and you don't have a backup.
HTH, and try to ask any of these questions in the Q&A section of our forum.
Welcome to our wonderful world of customizations.
Hey all. I was wondering if anybody knew of a place to get the stock Note 3 video player. I was having problems with my google account after a mess and flashed to a new ROM and my account works fine now. The downside is that the ROM does not have to stock video player. Normally not a big deal. But I have the Showbox app and a Samsung smart TV at home to stream from my phone to my TV. I need a way to still do that. Im open to suggestions for other apps or ways to do it. The ROM is AzureROM Five. Uses MX Player. Thanks

I found a video player that works. Sorry for not updating this thread. Thank you so much for that though. The app I found actually works better than the stock app. It is twonkybeam. Where the stock player would not fully buffer a lot of things I have not had any issues with this player unless I am also doing a lot on my phone at the same time. But again, thank you so much.

However i don't know how to restore it because. Can anyone upload the default bacup/restore app in .apk please
You cannot use the default Sony backup/restore app on PAC.

It works with ALL ROMs just that you require root which PAC already has. It's update binary is universal so have fun with the zip after creating it!

Hi Guys,
What's the best way to transfer app with app data from old phone to new? Most applications like Xender only move the app and requires customisation after this. I have had some success with Migrate, but is there anything better for the job?
Thanks
You could give Swift backup a go

After using Titanium Backup for many years, I recently started using Migrate and I still use it because I found that with Android 11, TB had some issues.
Is there any issues you found with Migrate and I why you want to try other app?
Cheers!

Migrate is good
Alpha backup has done for me also a good job.
Titanium was the best app, years ago. They forgot to engineer on time...
Is the free version enough to copy app data and bring to new phone?

Good way (if rooted) is here
Migrate is a new app to help you switch custom ROMs
Tired of custom ROM switching being an annoying task? Migrate will walk you through the process of switching to another custom ROM with your data intact.
www.xda-developers.com
But I'm using alpha backup pro

I think the cloned apps are in data of the cloning main app

Swift backup is very good too ! For root..
And free
A year ago I used OandBackupX (opensource and free) and it worked fine.
You can download it from F-Droid.
Titanium Backup is deprecated
for me titanum backup did the job and it restored most of apps with their data but for some apps it require instaling them first then restore the data only
btw you have to be rooted

Which app and version is the main dual app ?
I'm trying it with "Abra", a crypto wallet, just to check with one app instead of all at the same time. The build version is 995
I have used swift backup few times without issues. Beware though it encrypts the backup and needs to be signed into same Google account for restore to work.
Is there anything that can save the settings in Android itself? Things such as notification volume, button assignments(long press does XXX) etc?
