Hello XDA people,
After HTC's failed update i was done with HTC. It was my last straw so i decided it was time to root , and unlock my device for a custom rom.
Everything went great , unlocked the bootloader , rooted the phone but when i tried to load CM-Nightly-M7 on my phone i accidently did not wipe my phone with the factory reset.. No i Wiped my entire phone.
Now im stuck with a guide which helps me to sideload my device. That works great.. but now my question.
I actually can't find the right zip file to sideload to my device. I have a HTC One M7 on:
Software Number : 6.09.401.11
And Cid: HTC__E11 ( HTC NL)
I really want to write a new rom on it so i can continue with rooting or leave it the way it is forever. If you people could help me to find the right .zip file that would be great.
Greetings Koele

What you mean by "the right .zip file" ? If you want to flash Cyanogenmod then flash the cyanogenmod zip file for the HTC One.... Or any other rom for the HTC one...

I mean the right zipfile i can flash on the device. The right stock android which will install and does'nt give a error. Because every time i use the CM 11-20141212-NIGHTLY-M7.zip rom it gives me a error.
Sometimes it succesfully loads a rom on the phone but most of the times it says in the CMD window :
*failed to write data "protocol fault <no status>"*

check your usb cable and try another cable. "protocol fault" is not related to the zip you are using.
every zip intended for the M7 should work on your phone. What recovery version are you using?

Hey guys!
I swear I must be the only idiot out there who can't work out the Flashtool interface. I have rooted, installed CWM and readied my FTF file ready to flash. My problem is actually connecting the phone and getting the interface to recognize the Z.
When booting the program I plug the device in, it loads up and installs the ADB interface drivers and provides me with a prompt giving me a list of phones to choose from. The Z just isn't in there and I don't want to proceed by choosing another device 'by default'...
I have well and truely searched the hell out of this question with as many different queries as I could imagine to no avail. I have flashing experience and consider myself quite computer savvy but this has more then got me stumped!
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Josh

This is how I installed the driver for my XZ:
Install the driver first

Select the XZ driver:
Now update the driver because your PC probably can't find the driver:
Now you have to select the driver yourself. So you have to pick it from the list
This the updated driver:
I hope that helps a little.

Thanks heaps!! I managed to get the drivers installed but the application still doesn't recognise the Z? any thoughts?
try changing the usb settings to mass storage instead of media mode or the other way round

Is this what you are talking about?
To flash any stock ROM you don't need CWM. Flashtool is all I use to flash .ftf files
I download the ftf file I want and place it in the firmware folder:
I then start the flashtool app while the phone is unplugged, turned off and make sure it's in "Flashmode"
Once you click "Ok" this window should show up:
And then choose the ftf you placed in the folder. You should see this window:
And flashing will begin.
Just make sure you have full charge on your XZ before you do all this.
Wow, shadowboy23, you really went above and beyond with your assistance given here! You should really consider copying those posts over to the general thread and make a driver installation and flash tool guide (unles there is one...) But yeah, Kudos!:good::laugh::good:
Thanks!
I cannot believe that post shadowboy23 seriously thank you so much I can see the amount of time you have put in there! I myself haven't had any time to check the computer or even think about flashing my phone but will have another attempt this coming weekend and will defiantly bring you results (hopefully good news!)
Cheers again!!
Josh
I had a crack this afternoon and successfully got everything to the stage where your last step ends (on one of my 3 computers only!) and then the flashboot spits out an error message telling me the device drivers are not loaded. I will persist tomorrow afternoon when I have a fast internet connection and can download the latest version of flashboot (I have beta 4 I believe).
Incredibly frustrating process though!!
Josh
SUCCESS!!
Cheers shadowboy!! your new version fixed the issues I was having with the loader and it was all plug and play... but most of all thanks for letting me know to untick those boxes!! saved me the nightmare of having to reinstall everything
Cheers!!
Josh
Hi guys,
I'm facing a problem with my HTC Sensation XL, I'm trying to unlock it via HTCDev Method & Phone refuses to take the "Unlock_token.bin file when I push it using fastboot as you can see in the first picture. It stays at "sending ..... (0KB) and nothing seems to happen.

Just one think, after pressing Enter there is a green bar appearing right after and phone doesn't seem to react until I pull out the Battery and restart it again. I've tried too many ways and the result is always the same.
Any bright ideas ?
Thanks in Advance.
Well after a period since I started this thread, the phone act weirdly If I want to use GSM/Data (Radio), once it tries to get signal, it starts lagging until the system crash, I've also analysed kmsg log and found it's something to do with RADIO before the system crashed.
Now I have to keep airplane mode on all the time or the phone will slip into an infinite bootloop.
Since the main reason that pushed me to unlock the Bootloader is to gain S-OFF so I can re-flash RADIO and see what could happen.
Another weird thing is it can only be detected if I plug the phone to a computer with AMD Processor/Chipset, It works well with any AMD based computers. I tried with more than 10 computers with Intel and nada, like it's just plugged to an AC-Charger.
Does anybody's got an idea what to do? I'm also searching for an RUU supporting VODAP110 (Swisscom-DE) CID.
Thanks in advance.

Like you said, i also think you can solve the problem flashing an RUU. but it will be hard to find this specific RUU. What i can suggest you is change the CID of your phone and flash the stock ICS RUU of your choice.
In this links you can find all available stocks RUU for sensation XL maybe one of HTC Europe have your CID.
http://gsmffflash.blogspot.pt/2013/03/htc-runnymede-sensation-xl-x315-stock.html
http://www.full-firmware.com/htc-runnymede-sensation-xl-x315-stock-roms.html
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/9187811-post11.html
Download the RUU of your choice and look in the rom.zip file what CID is supported. If your CID is not supported by any RUU, you have no choice. You have to change the CID of your phone to superCID.
Hope is help.

I would like to thank you for your time.
I must say I'm cursed because I downloaded all of these RUU even the arabic one just to make sure that I have no luck, and NADA, none of them support VODAP110.
Anyhow, after a good searching I found a post by fardjad here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26318550&postcount=2
It's for those who want to install an official ROM with different CID, woe betide, the link of his tool gives a 404 error. but I think I saw its source somewhere and I'm gonna keep searching until I find it to start a new battle with this pickle.
Edit:
Well I found the source of sigtool at fardjad's github, It's written in C, I'll compile it and try if I can get any further.

Great. Good Luck!
I've read most if not all the threads about the 5.1 update but I'm still a little confused. what is the best, least trouble causing method to update to 5.1? Should I start from scratch and flash the official and then unlock bootloader and root? Can I just flash the bootloader and radio and one of the stock 5.1 roms currently available?
From what I understand, and please correct me if I'm wrong, the current 5.1 aosp roms don't work entirely well and need a fix, and none of the aosp work with the new radio on Tmo?
I believe you can flash bootloader and radio. Then flash one of the stock 5.1 roms. That's what I did, and I'm doing just fine.
So as long as I use a stock rom like what scrosler posted I'm fine? How about going back to a 5.0.2 rom?
Im on Tmobile, i was on Chroma 5.0.2 thursday and flashed the bootloader/radio for 5.1. since then i have not been able to receive calls. Today i flashed Stephan's stock 5.1 v1.2.1 which had some fixes for the speaker and such, but the calls still cannot be received. I also reflashed the bootloader/radio to no avail. I have checked my apn's too. has anyone found a fix yet? I would rather not fastboot back to the previous radio and 5.0.2 Roms (little nervous about the bricked device people were having).

hi Simms22, question:
I have got adb & fastboot set up on my computer. I have downloaded the radio.img for 5.0.1 and placed it in the folder where adb is loaded. i have booted my phone into fastboot flash mode, but when i enter the command "fastboot flash radio radio.img" (i renamed the file radio.img) i keep getting an error: cannot load 'radio.img'. any clues as to what i may be doing wrong?

My reception has been wonderful with T-Mobile on 5.1. I've been in two different states and all over WA and have had zero issues aside from when they had network hiccups nationwide on Friday and that only affected my receiving texts for a few hours.
HTC just slated T-Mobile HTC m9 5.1 release for 7/20

So you've flashed a verizon hboot on your sprint phone ?
There's still a slim chance to save your phone. even if nothing is displayed on your screen, the hboot might be there and if yes, you should be able to use fastboot commands to flash back the correct verizon hboot. You'll either need to use a Windows 7 pc, Linux or Mac. Windows 8/10 is a no go with hboot 1.44 (fastboot commands won't work). So get your hands on a Win7 pc, install the appropriate drivers and check if your devices is detected with the "fastboot devices" command..

What version of windows? It must be 7 or older. But if ubuntu fails to detect fastboot it's probably dead. Maybe someone with a riff box could fix it.

Your local repair shop probably have one. You can also buy one online but honestly, will be cheaper to buy another m7 than a riff box

Never used one so it's hard to tell but if the riffbox can't fix it, nothing will. Might worth a try depending the price...
So im kinda stuck here. Found my old Honor 5C and thought i could try and root it and flash a new OS onto it. BUUUT it seems like i cant remember the phones password at all, which means i cant unlock it at all. I thought i could just boot into the recovery and factory reset it from there, but huaweis "eRecovery" doesnt allow me to reset anything, just "shutdown" or "update from internet" (which always fails). Then i thought i could just boot into fastboot and see if i could do something there, but no, every command i use results in a "Remote: command not allowed" (probably due to no USB-debugging authorization). So im not sure what else to try..
Cant access recovery reset, cant use fastboot because no usb-debug, cant turn on usb-debug since i dont know the password. ADB wont even recognize the phone in the recovery either, only in fastboot.
Hey there! Have you found a solution?

You will need to disassemble your device and short test point and connect your phone using usb.
Install Huawie USB COM 1.0 Drivers, Radmin VPN and USB Redirector on your computer.
I will unlock it remotely using Radmin VPN and USB Redirector software.
