[Tutorial][Unbrick/Flash] official V20B for P970 OB

Here is a simple way to Flash official GB to OB (P970) for India.
*All your data get erased (contacts, sms, Apps), so Backup First.
. i will not responsible for any thing go wrong.
*This is an official Indian ROM so it will not void your warranty in India.
You can also Unbrick your OB by this procedure.
You need -
1- Smart flash updater (Attached)
2- Official GB ROM V20B of India -
http://www.lgmobiles.com/gsm/download/P970 V20B(Gingerbread Version).rar
3 LG mobile Drivers -
http://www.lg.com/in/support/mc-support/mobile-phone-support.jsp
*First install LG mobile Drivers if you don't have on your PC.
*Extract V20B rar file - you will get two bin files CP and AP.
*Extarct the smartflash rar file
*Run smartflash tool.
*Select- ROM copy D/L
*Connect OB (P970) in software upgrade mode (Keep pressing Vol+(up) and connect to USB)
*com port automatic get selected. ( If drivers are installed correctly)
*Select CP bin
*Select AP bin
*Hit Start
Stay beck for 3 min. Your OB will restart automatically.
Change log over 2.2 (froyo) -
*UI Improved - Smooth and fast
*Battery life improved
*Hindi fonts support
*MKV video format support.
*Google + added
*Heating Prob solved.

Have anyone tried this? I know official gb rom firmware version of India is 20b. But in the download website they didn't mention anything that its related to India. Also we can't decide depends on name. Just in doubt I asked this. Sorry if I asked anything wrong.

This is 100% Indian version. I already flashed on my OB. It's Fast and stable ROM.
The same link is used by LG service center in India.

Tested, working, clean and fast !

any1 got succeed to root indian v20b????

I flashed too and it works fine its more faster than v20n europen and battery its better

Hi All. I have been using the v20b and v20N both for some time now.
I can tell you first hand that the 20b is a lot better than v20N.
It gives me almost 3 days of battery life (with average usage) and the phone is fast and zippy.
Hindi fonts are supported as well.
I have noticed a increase in browsing speeds as well. Applications run fantastic and it hasn't crashed or force closed a single time yet.
I'm loving the new firmware.
Just waiting for a root now !

completely agree w/ u @ shreyas99 it is a lot better than v20N, very smooth and battery juice a lot more..but please anybody can tell me how to root this..please

ROM's are same only flashing files and Flasher is different and about Persian font, I am not sure.

Is anyone facing problems with the g-button. After the update i did a factory reset . Now the g-button isn't workin properly. I tried to calibrate accelerometer from the hidden menu but it says ''calibration fail-write error''. Any help....

Cant install gingerbread kdz v20n

hi guys , i'm new here and i'm a noob to android. I followed all the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236 and at the last but one step i think i'm stuck , the lg mobile support tool appears and i cant update the phone , it says "The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update." So i cant update , i changed the country and it wont work . What should i do please tell me ? i have 2.2.2 v10b. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I hope you got, that this was a thread in O3D Optimus 3D Forum... Anyway, if you want a stock Rom, just use R&D tool (use search) and read the first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771 and then read my reply http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22237122&postcount=449 and you will be able to flash v20x. Being noob doesnt mean u ll get a step by step guide, so do some reading pls. If you want a custom rom, also go to first thread, download the pack, use blackjack to root or search for root v10x where x is your version and then use CWM.exe (or similar) to install CWM or do it by RomManager! Then download a custrom from Dev Section and havbe fun

U CANNOT overclock V20n! You need Nova ROM to do this, and this is only 2.2... So better think about it again Root your phone now, and then install Zeus, it is v20n, but modified, to be faster...

why not ? set cpu does not work on gb ?

stock kernel don't have OC enabled

[Q] LG Optimux 4x HD v10F root help.

Can anyone help me out by finding a solid root for the v10f version of wind mobile LG Optimux 4x HD. I've looked around and so far the only versions I've found have been for previous versions. Please help me out!

I suppose your talking about canadian version.
I don't remember very well soo, search better but,
I think you need to downgrade and use root keeper to keep root when upgrading.
Dig a little on the forum and you'll find it.

Only known method involves:
Flashing back to Wind Mobile 10c
Doing something or other with Root Keeper
Allowing the OTA upgrade to 10f to occur.
The issue ATM is that the hosting for 10c (which you'd need to download to rollback) lists it as offline. So unless someone's got a copy on their HD and can upload it somewhere, or you can figure out a new root, you're out of luck.
Just FYI, the Canadian 4x is the P880g, and to my knowledge is not scheduled to get Jelly Bean (so says LG's facebook).

In this link under CANADA section you can find stock 10c for your phone: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15 under number 27,but does not work at the moment, when you select 10c wait 5 sec for advertise than click skip ad in upper right corner of web page..
1. downgrade to 10c
2. root 10c
3. download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper this is also 3.step in the guide from mine step 4.
and folow this, it should be the same thing for your phone

You only need L bootstack if your going to use stock Lollipop. Ask the author of thread if he's including bootstack in his zips with ROMs.

Do not work WIFI

Hey, I'm new here and have no clue where I can post this question but apparently I can post on some Q&A threads...
So I have an LG L90 D415. I know that this thread is not for the device, but I can't post anywhere else and this seems related.
I know my way around the phone and adb, flashed it several times, using the kdz for 4.4.2 and 5.0.2, rooted both, flashed TWRP, etc.
I dropped the phone. In the ocean. It was only in there long enough to ruin the home button and the microphone. I dried it out and flashed back to stock one last time to be sure that if there was any warranty issue it would be covered. It worked, and the phone almost immediately upgraded to D415 10e. I waited for the D415 20a update, but it didn't come, probably because I declined it when it was offered the first time, putting me at the back of the line.
So I thought I would go to the kdz update and wait it out there but I think the water damage is causing it to not connect to the computer. I can't get download mode, I can't reboot to recovery, only use for the usb is charging...it's very strange.
I know I can fix the microphone with a part I can buy online. I also know that I can buy OEM or Generic.
Two questions: would a water problem cause me to lose recovery or download mode, and would a generic part still allow me to get to download mode?

The rom version for Kitkat 4.4.2 makes my phone loop on the bootloader, and i had kitkat 4.4.4 before i flashed the rom, did a wipe beforehand, so the bootstack was ok i guess.. looking forward for some opinions since this idea it's nice... could anyone please tell me how to install this lg keyboard version on the other roms and where to get it ?

the wifi works well,after the first boot enters the recovery again and wipes cache and dalvik cache.reboot and should already work.

Just to follow up with my previous post, I purchased an OEM microphone/flex module and replaced the original, and as soon as it booted I was prompted to upgrade. So apparently damage to that part of the phone hardware will cause some system operations to not work, like recovery, download mode and system updates.

LGUP Does´n recognize my LG G4 h811

Hey all, I think I broke my G4 , but not at all because I can access to download mode, the problem is that when I try to open LGUP or LG flash tools, my LG appears as UNKNOW MODEL, and because of that I can´t install the kdz file, I tried to re install all the drives and so on, I am working in a win 10 laptop. Someone that can help me. Thanks!!! I will be waiting for a answer.

No one will even bother to help anyone who experience this . It's the worst scenario LG up doesn't work for our cases because of you bricked on a custom Rom the tool cant read a device model You have to be bricked on stock Rom for it to work .
Ive tried to ask since March No one knows how to get past it other then throwing thr phone away

Lg flash tool 2014 was Better and would pull us out of this but it no longer works with marshmallow only worked with lollipop and LG up is poorly built it could easily be made to reflash any device model seen I'm quite sure easily . It's the 0 interest in the further dev of the device that is stopping that from happening probably due to the life span of the g4 coming to a end soon.
