[Q] How to find proper RUU for my device? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought an HTC One in Spain (it came with the traditional Sense interface) and some time ago, I flashed the Google Play Edition ROM in it. Now I want to go back to stock.
My question is, how do I find which one of the available RUUs is the right one for my device?
Before flashing, I took the following info:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-HTC__304
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-4A.17.3250.14
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-2.24.401.1
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I think the MID is PN0710000.
Thanks in advance.

With s-off you can flash any RUU with x.xx.401.x in it
the preferred RUU would be http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe
That would at least get you up to Sense 5.5

Thank you, I'll try this one.
Actually, my reason for going back to stock is because I think flashing GPe screwed up my radio and I've had problems with my mobile provider, specially with 3G traffic (the radio after flashing GPe is 4T.21.3218.21).

OTA Update of GPE 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 causing major issues

Hi all,
I installed an update today for 4.4.3, clearly i shouldn't have as its rendered the phone almost useless. Screen isn't displaying things properly, i can't really describe it, but have the pixels are missing intermittently. Also there is no poweroff dialogue and hardly any apps load.
Why isn't it possible to use the OTA updates, and what's my resolution now?
I'm having the same problem. Was your phone originally a Stock HTC branded phone and you converted it to a GPe HTC One?
That's what I did which is probably the reason I received an OTA update that not intended to my hardware.
So at the moment I'm going down the route of reverting to a stock image. I've changed my CID to HTC__001, Relocked the bootloader and turned S-ON.
However, I'm not having any luck flashing the RUU (RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.9_R_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe)

Can anyone recommend the correct RUU I should use?
Many thanks,

[Q] can i flash a gsm ruu on my sprint htc one ?

So i'm in Algeria, with a sprint htc one that keeps asking me to "activate the device", but i can't since i'm using a different GSM carrier and in a different country so i thought i install a worldwide gsm ruu and fix my problem, but it seems like everybody who tried it ended up bricking their phone, so is it possible to install gsm ruu on sprint htc one ?

[Q] Converting to Stock from Carrier Version

I've got a HTC One from EE (UK), who are being retardedly slow in providing updates.
So I'd like to change to a stock HTC and still receive OTA updates. I'd prefer not to change to Google Play Edition if possible.
My bootloader currently says:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** LOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-HTC__001
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-4A.21.3263.04
OpenDSP-V32.120.274.0909
OS-
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I've got TWRP installed v2.7.1.1
I've also changed my CID to HTC__0001 and also the MID to PC0710000 using the MID Change tool.
Its currently running Android v4.3, HTC Sense 5.5 and Software 3.63.61.1.
What do I need to do next? I *think* I need to install a RUU? but not sure.

You are right, you now need to run the .401 ruu. Just to be sure, you said you have changed your CID to HTC__0001 ? Its HTC__001 (only 8 characters)
stay s-off and bootloader unlocked after the conversion.
your twrp recovery will be overwritten with the stock recovery included in the RUU.
I did exactly the same thing with my Vodafone branded one, best move I ever made, I got the update a month before Vodafone started sharing it.
Just make sure you backup your current Rom and take note or remember your original cid should the worst happen and you need to return it for any reason, copy the backup , once created, to your pc before running the ruu.
I'm on EE too and in the process of grabbing all the files needed for this. My fone is 100% stock so need to unlock, root and S-Off yet.
I grabbed the RUU from here. 1.5GB. HTC Europe

Thanks, all done now.
Sweet. All go ok? No problems?
Might get time to do mine later this week.

The only way for you to update immediately will be to get s-off, or you will just have to wait until it's released to your operator, you would ha e to change your cid, your mid, and then back flash a developer edition ruu, and they all require s-off for which you will have to pay $25.
401 firmware is the wrong one for your device also, the key is in your os version, 700

Unable to update using RUU HTC One (M7) AT&T

I have bought a used HTC One (M7) that is AT&T unlocked. Now I live in Tunisia (North Africa) and i can't update my software version "4.18.502.7".
This is my bootloader status:
***RELOCKED***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-11111111
HBOOT-1.56.000
RADIO-4T.24.3218.09
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-4.18.502.7
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I tried to install the following RUU: "RUU_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_BrightstarUS_WWE_7.17.1540.7_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_420191_signed_2"
I had changed my cid to match that of Brightstar (BS_US001, or sth like it) but didn't work. I kept encountering "error 155".
I just want to find a compatible RUU and to be able to update (getting rid of AT&T bloatware would be a plus).
Thank you!
