I am upgrading to CM11 and want to transfer all my S Planner entries to my Google Calendar before upgrading. But how do I transfer them to my Google Calendar? Anybody knows a way?
Nevermind, I got an app called iCal: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tk.drlue.icalimportexport
Worked great.

Well, I've got gmail (with two accounts, even) and the market set up with the instructions at http://nookdevs.com/Enable_the_Android_Market. And I've even installed both the Calendar and CorpCalendar using the APKs in a copy of update-cm-5.0.8-Droid-signed.zip (found, among other places, here: http://thekilpatrickproject.com/downloads/koush/motorola/sholes/)
But when I push over Contacts.apk and ContactsProvider.apk, nothing noticeable happens. I've still got the Nook contacts app.
Anybody had any luck with this? I'd really like not only to have the stock Android Contacts, but also to be able to sync them w/google AND have the autocomplete working in gmail ...
I am using smoothCalendar on my homescreen, but is it possible to show up my facebook calendar there? In sense I can, because it implements facebook calendar as a calendar to my phone. But in CM, how do I do this? Anyone know an app to do that?

For birthdays im not sure because the last time I tried doing this facebook would not sync its birthdays with google calendar, only events. But for events and what not you can sync your facebook calendar through your gmail/google account online and then by syncing your google account to smooth calendar. That avoids having to use another app.
If you want to sync your fb birthdays calender with google calender . To work with Smooth Calander.. Use "ebobirthday" found in market..
I believe Gemini calendar will do this as well
Thanks folks. I found out that most easier way is; importing facebook birthday iCal URL to my google calendar. No need any extra application that way. Thanks @CallMeAria.
Sort like idea of get rid of application that way have more space.
Thanks CallMeAria.

Hey guys,
For some reasons I can't figure out how to reset the default app to open an attachment in Gmail. The way to do this either changed in Jelly beans or in the new Sense :S
More specifically calendar invitations open through the calendar in the *browser* instead of the calendar app. I probably selected the wrong option the first time it asked...
How do I reset that?
Cheers

Answering my own question. The only way to do this seem to be resetting *all* app default preferences.
As it happens this was not my issue. The real issue is that the new Sense calendar does not accept google calendar invitations. So even if you select that as the action when you click on the gmail calendar email, it goes to the google calendar on the web.
I don't like that. The Sense calendar on the Sensation did not do that. It accepted the invitation in app.
Quick solution was to download the stock calendar. Happier this way...

That may be Gogole's fault, not HTC's. Google have closed off exchange syncing which may be what HTC were using. It's caused me problems in Windows 8, wouldn't allow mail to open from Gmail unless I deselected calendar and contact syncing when adding my Gmail account;
I have an ATT Active running 4.4.2 and I uninstalled my stock calendar thinking I would stop the duplicate notifications. Unfortunately I learned that now my google calendar won't open and I can't sync it. I used TI backup to uninstall and then I restored calendar storage but I can't find my calendar apk to restore (don't know what happened to it). I have searched and downloaded Splanner apk and calendar provider apk's but I can't get the calendar's to open. I'm guessing the apk's I am finding aren't compatible with my phone? Can someone please help me and let me know what I need to reinstall just to get google calendar up and running so it can sync? I really depend on it for work and I'm struggling to keep track of my schedule without it.
Anyone? Really could use some help.

What about the Google Calendar app? I always install Google Calendar from the Play Store, and then use TiBu to uninstall the stock calendar app, I've never had any trouble doing this on several devices
Thank you for the reply. I installed the Google calendar but it won't open and I'll get calendar error messages at random while using the phone. I must have unistalled something else that doesn't allow Google calendar to work. Do you have any suggestions on what I should look for?
Little help please. I'm still stuck with no working calendar.
standalone calendar that works?
Somewhat off topic but is at least a basic calender that might work, but may not sync with google calendar.
Calender is one of the things that is not well defined as to what you need for it to work. I'm attempting to get some basic calender functionality without installing gapps framework. I have a TB Cyanogenmod account that may allow Android or Google Calender to work without a Google account?
After trying several calendar apps at f-droid without success, Jorte Calendar seems to work good as a standalone app for a sans gapps system.
Thanks for the reply. Is this calendar my last option? Is there no way, without wiping my phone and starting from scratch, to replace whatever apk's are missing? I would really like to just install what is missing and continue using the phone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to get calendar working by replacing the apk's you deleted, we just need to know what apk's you deleted so we can send you the replacements.
Thanks for the quick response. As far as I can tell the apk that I am missing is the calendar apk. Is there a way to compare the apk's that I have compared to what I should have? Thanks again.

Google Calender 5.0 .apk:

Thanks for the apk. Unfortunately I keep having the same problem as before when I downloaded Google calendar. When I try to open calendar I get "Unfortunately calendar has stopped" and I also get the same error message for Exchange services simultaneously. Does this give any clues as to what might be missing?
I had similar issue as well when I was uninstalling stuff. After a couple months of not having a properly functioning calender I tried out Today Calender Pro when it was on sale. It works great. Might be worth a shot.

You could try opening the app details and deleting it's data. That may fix Exchange services at least, but didn't fix google calendar for me. I'm in the same boat as you, just not dependent on syncing with google.
If you have a good recovery option, you can make a backup and try flashing gapps again:

I removed the default calendar app after I installed lollipop because I figured the google calendar app was enough. I think removing the default apps broke google calendar sync (calendar is not an option for syncing in the google account settings).
If someone can send me the apk files from a 5.02 release that would be awesome. Or if you can point me to the right place to download them. I looked in my 5.02 downloads and all the files appear to be in system.ext4 which I don't know how to extract from.
Thanks
What about calendar from google play? Dont know if its different from the one in sony rom
Google Calendar is what I'm using. But it seems that when I removed the default calendar apps from the phone it screwed up the ability for google calendar to sync.
Hoping someone can send me the APK files I need.
Finally got the files. Don't remove CalendarProvider.apk or it'll break google calendar!
