Dashclock?
Nice one. Thanks! But I can't figure out how I can add it to the lockscreen of my OPO
I added the widget to of the screens alright but how do I make it show up when my screen is locked? Can you help?
Thanks again!!
Floatify it's nice, although for me was a little buggy
Sad to hear you didn't like NiLS. For me it is the only thing I need
You've probably got both the dashclock and normal clock widget displayed, delete the page with the standard clock widget to always display dashclock.
I haven't used Dashclock for a while as I'm using Mahdi (has built in lockscreen notifications) but I'm pretty sure you need to force full screen widget mode to see notifications.
Upgrade to android lollipop

If you are on KitKat, install Xblast and go to Xlocky to configure lock screen notifications. It actually works pretty good. If you are on Lollipop then this is a stupid question

+1 - NiLS is awesome for me. I guess just wait till lollipop is official for the OPO (inbuilt lockscreen notifications).

If you want a built in solution, it is integrated directly with Mahdi Rom

Is there a way to remove the widget locker icon in the status bar? ?? At first I wasn't sure what that notification was then I disabled widget locker and it was gone. So is there a way? And what does the notification mean? It goes from number 2-3. Any help is appreciated!

Have you checked the dev's website? Or the comment section in the market? Or the settings for the app?
I'd try and do some reading around and see what you come up with.
Look under advanced settings of the app..its there.just not recommended

I've never had an issue with disabling it on either 2.1 or 2.2, it never seems to get killed by the OS (having it in the notification bar makes sure it never gets killed). I don't know what numbers the OP is seeing there though it should just be the little Widget Locker icon, the numbers are likely related to another notification.

There is the root option for WidgetLocker so it never gets killed, that's what I'm currently using myself.
Anyone know if this breaks the 4 lockscreen mod? Or is it just strictly an overlay?

It's an overlay. Sometimes you will see the original lockscreen pop up first before WidgetLocker, but you can download an app to fix that.

The app to fix it is called...wait for it..."no lock"
If you were like me and didn't want to try Widgetlocker because it broke NoLED (or vice versa) both apps have now been updated to work together. And work well they do.
This is my first experience with Widgetlocker and I see what all the praise is about. It really is the perfect lockscreen customizer. I've set up a Sense style lock with themed Android sliders for camera and volume controls. Looks great and the options are endless.
Two of the best app devs have worked together to make my phone much more functional and enjoyable. Big thanks to both. Support them if you can.

Is there a way to fix the issue of the soft keys not turning off after a noled notification?
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
How about noled, widget locked, and SMS popup or hancent?
Everytime I get a notification my screen turns on and stays on. I have everything set to do not turn screen on.
Also, my widgetlocker does not keep Widgets. Everytime i reboot they dissapear. Anybody else?
I'm on cm nightlies.

As far as I know no. The dev has said that he doesn't own a NS and it appears to be a hardware limitation of the phone.

Have you tried the delay SMS notifications setting in NoLED? I don't use popups anymore but that did it for me when I was. Not sure how that interacts with Widgetlocker now though.
For your Widgets not sticking did you try to enable to startup option in WL?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
The dev does own a nexus s, he contacted noled to update widgetlocker and have them work together.
Being able to manage the keys would make noled outstanding.
Doesn't noled drain ur battery to have the screen come on for notification til you get to it?

Yeah, I've tried pretty much every combination of NoLED, WidgetLocker and SMSPopup settings and doesn't quite work work together.... :-(
When I'm on system settings my Widgets stay... but when I use my themed Widgets, they keep disappearing.
Something I noticed today. NoLED only seems to work if the default lockscreen is disabled thru Widgetlocker.
Also a few times my screen is on and I get a message NoLED will activate and interrupt me. Not sure if that's a bug or something I've done wrong in the settings.

Im in the same boat beautiful widgets, simiclock, even my power control disappears. Its really making me feel like this was a bad purchase...
Try stock Widgets.... they stay after reboots.

This is the only thing that's keeping me from using NoLED, other than that it would be a kick ass application.

Not as much as you would think. As the majority of the screen is black, and it takes no power to show black (or very, very, negligible) on a SAMOLED screen the battery drain is pretty small. Now, as it is though the Home, Back, Menu and Search buttons also light up which wouldn't help things.
ill try later with the 7 laucher.
OK I am going to try NoLED now.
As far as the Widgets disappearing from WidgetLocker it is due to a conflict with the Theme Chooser in CM7. I have been working with the Dev of WidgetLocker for a little while to diagnose the problem. It was finally confirmed that it is Theme Chooser causing the problem. If you go back to stock theme everything should work fine. Personally I just re add my widgets cause I love my theme
I only have problems with haxzmatics theme... all other themes that come with cm7, the widgets stay.

That is my theme of choice also
Have you tried any other theme that does not come with CM7? I have tried a couple from the market and the widgets disappear with those also.

That's odd. I don't even use any themed widgets. The only one I use on the lockscreen is AgendaWidget
The lockscreen is the only part of my Nexus S I haven't customised yet.
What are your favourite apps and mods for the lockscreen? Mind sharing them and perhaps a screenshot?
Cheers,
L
Widgetlocker, you can get it from the market.
Then look up some custom sliders, there are some great minimalist ones out there that are far prettier than the standard android one. I may get round to adding more here but for now check that out, its how i did mine.
Thank you Corvidd, will check both out!
Is there anything to bring notifications on the lockscreen at all?

You can add widget in widgetlocker, then you got notifications in lockscreen...
You can also let notification bar free to be open and add shortcuts... really useful app.

Widgetlocker for sliders.
Widgetsoid for power control toggles.
SimiClock for Weather, time and battery.
In Widgetlocker - enable the notification bar.
The end result of all this is a ridiculous amount of 1 click functionality from your lock screen.
I also use NoLED for notifications along with WidgetLocker, works well.
Hope this helps!
I used MetaMorph for my lockscreen.

Anyone tried GOTO Lockscreen?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.innowebtech.g0t0
It has more or less what I want although I would really just like a list of all the notification with ability to launch directly the associated app on the lockscreen..
I hear this is what Sense 3 does but can't find an example anywhere..

Hi guys, I would like to know if there is a way to add a widget in the lockscreen that displays the number of unread messages, and leads to them if clicked.
I mean something like on sgs2/3 stock rom (i don't remember if ace's stock had such a feature).
Thank you I'm advance.
PS: I'm on Apocalypse Rom, as my sig suggests!

I found a valid substitute in SMS Popup app, and i suggest this one to everybody: light and fully functional!

Try GO locker...it displays the number of unread messages and has shortcuts to it...and plenty of other shortcuts too...

Search play store for an app called "widget locker". It is a lockscreen replacement that allows you to design your own lockscreen, adding widgets, sliders etc. then just add one of the widgets suggested above.
let me know if this helped

Isnt the "GO" series generally known for high usage of cpu?
I have only tried GO locker when it was on beta, but not as a daily lockscreen...
Well, it doesn't no difference to my phone...performance and battery life still the same...

Buddy dont use any type of launcher except holo launcher as it saves battery next thing if u want widget for messages go to playstore hit widgets and messeging widget on lockscreen....... Or any lockscreen widget.........well enjoy buddy!!!!!!!!!
Instead of using such widgets i solved my problems with SMS pop-up app (as i wrote before). Very easy and more fast even than widgets!

Sometime, many lockscreen is not support add widget. You can download and install "Widget lockscree" from Playstore.
May I know if there are any lockscreen tweaks for kitkat? Like allowing custom apps to be widgets in the lockscreen. Btw, I can't drink the camera shortcut in the lockscreen anymore, is it supposed to be like that or is there a problem?
I'm on ihackers 4.1
Thanks.

The camera icon appears when you place the phone in horizontal position.
