Recently Rooted moto Droid Question

Hey everyone,
I recently rooted my moto droid and was wondering now that I have done this can I drop 1.5 or any other OS on there that I choose? Also, if that is possible can someone post a link or tell me how to go about doing this. That being said, I was also wondering if there is a way to easily switch between android versions for development.

You can also try other sites like alldroid.org, phandroid. The developers site which is "xda" and "sdx". There are many others so just search around they all have forums for different devices for this information. One of the most helpful I've found for noobs was unlocked.com. give it a try.

Look-up RomManager in the marketplace if you will be moving between versions alot, it handles these changes very well.
As to going to previous versions I can not say for sure. In theory yes but you will ether have to find a pre-made Droid rom or build it yourself.

Thank you both for the replies and information. I will continue my research and see what I can dig up. Hopefully I can find a 1.5 rom as building it myself is a little out of my ability right now.

Yes rom manager would be a good idea forgot to mention it. It works great for switching roms I just have a little problem with mount sdcard in clockworkmod recovery so mine will reboot after entering recovery and rom manager doesn't help some times but it seems to work great for most devices. My problem is I have to reformat sdcard because I came from Eris and I don't want to till I can get a computer to backup info on it.

[REF] Motorola ATRIX System Apps

I dumped all the system apps into a package using ADB with the ATRIX I picked up today. I'm not sure what/if any apps are usable but I figured I'd offer them up to any developers or modders such as myself.

[Q] Zumocast .apk

I uninstalled the Zumocast app while playing with my new phone. If someone can give me a link to the .apk, that would be awesome. Or, if there was another way to find it, I've already Google'd it, I would love to hear the enterprising soul's method of doing that. Anything to prevent me from running the FXZ so soon. I'm not scared, soft bricked my Dinc a lot when I was learning about it back in the day. Anyway, my bionic is rooted, I just would like to have the zumocast app back. I didn't get to play with it before I inadvertently erased it. Thanks in advance to anyone with some guidance.

The zumocast apk and odex can be found in the /system/app folder.

thanks for this link. i just asked for it in another thread and then stumbled across it here. is this the newest version?

ZumoCast updated to version 1.1.1 today(?). It fixed a problem with folders containing a very large number of files. Where can I find the .apk?

deleted too much....

I deleted "friend feed.apk"...or could of been "friend share.apk"...any way someone could post the .apk for me

Let this be your lesson to ALWAYS BACK UP whenever you are unsure of what you're removing. Especially if the app is located in /system
I'd post the APK but I'm not running stock. Hope someone else will help.

I would also help but am blurless and do not have the apk. One recommendation i have, only cause I've done this before, download the deodexed rom, unzip it, and find the apk you're looking for.

Broken Links

I recently updated my phone to 902 and lost root. I was trying to find a good link to pathsaver so I could revert my phone and reroot. I is killing me because Dhacker29 just release and Alpha 902 of ICS working with 3g and LTE. I am excited but cannot install safestrap because I lost root ;(. If someone can PLEASE provide me a good link to Pathsaver. I have checked all threads and forums and yet to find one. Thanks

did you ever find one i am on 902 as well looking for it never rooted my bionic so i need this too!! someone please help i am going through ics withdrawls!!!

Goto my droid world. Might have to search through the pathsaver forum to find active links, but they are in there

Look for this the topic "[script] safe bionic path saver + .901 + liberty3 2.0 - version 2". It's here on xda in android development and hacking/ android software and hacking general. Sorry I can't post the link because I'm using the xda app. This thread works. I just finished using the path finder.

thanks dude so could you tell me i run this pathsaver batt file i think it is runs scripts and then i flash the 896 i think it is then flash 901 there after is this correct ?? watched the video a while back but forgot exactly i suppose i could watch it again but my sound don't work at the moment..

You also have to use RSDLite 5.5 to flash an xml file.
Hopefull I posted the link around enough so if anyone else needs it, they don't have the same problem finding it. I understand looking for something before asking, but they could have put it somewhere that we would search. I had to find it through Google, not an XDA search.
