I'm looking to buy the Z1 but I will miss the menu button on my Galaxy S1.
Is there a way or a mod to add that soft menu key/button? I don't like the "3 round buttons" on the top right.
I love that the LG G2 has a setting to modify those keys, is there something similar on the Z1?
Thanks guys,
yes
Can you elaborate, please?
Where and how ?
Guess you can install xposed framework and gravity box and you can customize mostly everything of your navbar. I ended up removing the navbar and use instead the pie because I find softkeys a ridiculous waste of space that let the manufacturer to save 20 freaking cents.

I really don't like soft keys/nav bar also. It's a waste of space, in my opinion, and I can't believe that even in full screen apps they are present. What's the point of a 5 in. screen then :/..
Hallo,
Is it possible to remove the floating app and widget button in the left bottem corner?
thx nero0345
Yes its possible, you can use Phab7 module on xposed framework.
Thanks, i would try it, but in the last time i have a lot of problems with Xposed Modules. A lot of this modules dosn't work right on the tablet, but on my HTC One X+. Have you one idea?

Phab7 works fine. Try it and then you can comment
All in all it works realy fin, but is it possible only remove the left button, and maybe the homebutton is furthermore in the middle and the notification in the top and not in the right bottom corner?
Thx

Not that I'm aware of no. Phab7 just forces the systemui to think the screen res has changed which drops the tab back into 4.1 legacy ui.
Thanks a lot. ^-^
Hi everyone,
I am currently using the Maximus ROM with Sense 6 and I was wondering how you call the pop-up slider thingie which you get when you swipe up from the home button? The one where you can slide to Google Now.
I am wondering this because I would like to know if it is possible to add other buttons to this menu, but I haven't got a clue how it is called so I cannot search for it.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

In the Sense Toolbox Xposed module, there is an option to add Voice Dial and APM shortcuts to that ring. They call the mod "Extended Assist Panel" under Control Mods. I haven't seen anything that allows you to customize the shortcuts to put there, but I really haven't looked.
Thanks for your reply.
I also found another setting in the control section of the Sense 6 toolbox, which brings your device to sleep when swiping up from the home button (so no more Google now, but I don't really care) so I'm all good!

Hello guys,
is there any way, how to disable Google Search Bar from Home screen? Using Ressurection Remix 4.4.2 on myi9000. I do not need and use that. I am pretty sure I could get rid of it in Mackays rom somehow. Thanks for a answer.
EDIT: Solved by clicking on and holding desktop for widget and wallpaper table, clicking on three dots and voilá.
Details of the device
I'm using the latest CM11 version from Novafusion.
Problem and steps I've taken
Currently I've got a problem where the home button intermittently activates on its own (but only long-presses, so if I disable long-press in the OS, it'll be fine for normal operation), without any interference. The side effect (which is my main issue) of this is that it means my phone's screen effectively turns on by itself 24/7, which is obviously bad for many, many reasons.
I'm asking whether there's anyway I can disable the home button? I've tried Android-HomeKey-Locker (can't link it, but the Google Play version of the thing on GitHub) but it hasn't done anything.
I'm aware I can turn on the software buttons, but they don't deactivate the physical buttons: and I only want to disable home anyway.
So my question is, is there any way of doing this? I can take the back and menu keys if needed.
Side note
Is it possible in anyway to bind long-press back to home? I asked this for CM12 a while back (and I've since downgraded), but is this possible with Cyanogen, as I've been able to do it with Carbon ROM on 4.4.4.
Hi! I currently use this app on CM 12.1 to enable softkeys and disable hardware keys:

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the help. Someone on reddit gave me a working solution by using Xposed Additions to remap the buttons how I wanted them to.
