Ank4 flashable? - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to get on ank4 without the need of Odin? So I can just flash to a ank4 base ROM. I used to flash new modems on all my older phones even my note 2. Just wondering if its possible and if anyone has the files needed. Thanks in advance.

Does this mean your not rooted?

I haven't seen any yet. They MAY exist but not here. Sorry bud. Your best bet would be to try one of the newer roms with it built in. I had to flash my modem aka radio aka baseband only (lol!) via odin unfortunately. What's the issue exactly? No PC or Mac around? Could you do it at work or school maybe?

[Q] Question regarding I9305 and XXAL15 firmware

Hello,
this might seem like a bit of a silly question but I've read through all the Q+A's and other peoples questions but am still none the wiser for the S3 LTE I9305 uk version.
with the firmware of XXAL15 it doesn't appear that there are any roms out there, is this because they are all working on newer firmware, or will I have to wait until someone makes one for this firmware, or do I change the firmware to the same as what they are using in the rom.
Again apologies for any ignorance.
I think you mean the XXALI5 and not XXAL15
---------- Post added at 11:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:59 PM ----------
Btw you can flash the customROMs over the "XXAL15"
Best regards

I am not sure, if Manila and other main cities are introducing LTE then yes. Otherwise you can probably see it popping up in shops, if they have managed to get their hands on stock from HK.
*updated* I heard that Smart and Globe will be doing LTE in the near future but only in Manila to begin with.

[Q] Changing Modem only to LRK from 412

For me in UK Virgin Mobile the Modem in LSZ 412 is awful..
Is it possible to change the Modem in LSZ (412) back to XXLRK Modem from XXLRQ 404 in PC ODIN.. Is it available as a seperate download.
When I was using the S2, I just put the Modem (in this case LRK) into PDA of PC ODIN and flashed > Rebooted and it was fine.. No wipe, Is that still the case on the note.
Thanks
Yes you can. There is a thread for modems in the Dev section. Check if you have the modem there.
If you get a modem.bin file, then you can flash it using mobile odin too. Rooted phones.

Do you know which file the flash there were two of them there. The first file says it's our ron but it says it's unrooted
It's the 2nd one that gives you root. TekHD just gave it a fancy name.

That's what it's supposed to show,
It's due to the Tmobile N910T3 DOG1 modem would only work on an actual T3 device.
@TEKHD said that except for that, it's 100% T3 DOG1.
People who actually have a Note 4 N910T3 device don't have the display issue at all.
...On a lighter note, so far I have not seen anyone posting anything having to do with new
features and user options in the T3 DOG1 firmware, if it had any I am almost certain that
someone would have already mentioned it here. (not counting removing stagefright )
Good luck and have a great day!
Yes I can confirm flashing TEKXvirgin_N4_URv0_Gift_Edition works on N910T3 with baseband N910T3UVU1DOG1. I guess the warning "YOU MUST BE ON COG2 BASEBAND FOR A FLAWLESS EXPERIENCE" is only meant for flashing N910T

[KERNEL] Galaxy A9 SM-A9100

This is a permissive kernel for the Samsung Galaxy A9pro SM-A9100 Qualcomm MSM8976.
This is up for testing, hopefully to get some development going.
It may boot it may not.
Please take note of what happens and give details.
This boot image has DM-Verity and encryption removed so this requires your device is not using encryption.
Disclaimer: Flashing this will trip your knox counter and possibly void your warranty.
Install:
Make a backup of your current boot partition with TWRP in case you need to restore.
Flash the file below with ODIN in the AP slot or extract the boot.img and flash with TWRP.
A9100_permissive_boot_130816
.
I flashed the above A9100_permissive_boot_130816.tar but it get stuck in bootlogo. So I flashed your A9100ZCU1APF1_no_encryptable_boot.tar and it boots fine again. But this is with stock rom.
I saved the last_kmsg.txt from this new kernel. But It's to big for pastebin...
This is highly annoying. Could you upload the log somewhere such as Tinyupload.com?
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=80470715515642760697
I hope you can unlock this samsung mess. Thanks!
If anyone can get this going, the OP is the person to do it. He worked wonders on the Tab S2!! I would have this phone if it had actual US Lte bands. This is what the Note7 should have been.
We had an issue like this with the lollipop kernel source for the Tab A.
Even though it compiled no issues it just would not boot.
Well I say that I actually did find a way but it wasn't satisfactory.
Samsung would not admit to an issue with the source code. However when MM was released the source code was fixed.
Might be a similar case here and I'm sure this device will be getting MM.
I understand, that's all stopped?
Can I ask what compression method you used please

This little morsel of information should probably get added to the OP. I was in the same boat having flashed from 935A to 935U on Odin 3.12.7 (as was recommended for that process) and then tried to use the same version to go from 935U to 935A (Oreo). When that process failed, I went deeper into the thread and found this. Pulled a copy and it worked like a champ, but if we could add this info to the top post, it would be helpful.
