Hi guys!
I have Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. And I want to port Ubuntu Touch (RTM or newer version) to the tablet.
This device already has a Developer Preview, but it is not stable. The structure of this port: kernel and tar.gz archive with the system (preinstalled-armhf).
So, i have a question: what kernel is required for Ubuntu Touch? The porting guide says that the CM-kernel is required.
But when I try to install a similar way, device becomes unbootable.
Can you help me?

I too would like to know more on porting Ubuntu touch OS to the Samsung Note 2014 10.1 (P600) device.
You don't mention your model. Is it 2014 version ?? Which one is it since the 2014 Lte versions hardware is different to the 2014 wifi only hardware...etc
Back in 2013 someone did a port of the older incarnation of the Samsung tablet The N8000 model. If that's you check this thread

Hello!,
I bought recently a Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, but in the developing section i don't found any Cyanogen rom for this!! It's possible to a developer to build anything above 3.2 version? Thanks in advance
Maybe you can make it your self by porting the rom you want to your device. For more info read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
I know, but obviously i need a Cyanogen rom for the base (this is my request in fact)...
Hi,
can somebody port Sailfish OS for our device?
Samsung SIII got a Sailfish OS port from a user , so is here anyone looking for porting Sailfish to our device?
Sailfish Kickstart
Hi Guys, sorry to bump an old thread but surly Sailfish makes a lot of sense on our old devices? The more efficient memory and resource management of the platform make it a suitable candidate for porting and to the best of my knowledge all we need to do is take the build scripts and change it to reference the galaxymtd branch of Cyanogenmod 10.2 and they will do the rest.
If there is enough interest i can create a thread with all the relevant details needed for porting to the i9000
For any of you who might be interested in giving this a shot (I simply do not have the time or energy to even attempt it) https://sailfishos.org/develop/hadk/ <--- will come in handy.

Hello, I was thinking about something, maybe it shouldn't help only the owners of Galaxy Pocket Plus but maybe all the owners of every BCM21654 devices, the help would be greater and more devices without CM support would get CM builds. I'm not a developer but would like to help and work together to get CM working on BCM21654 devices. Mine is Galaxy Music. Just an idea :silly:
yes that can be possible actually but we firstly need a power full pc i mean i i3 only has 3gb ram i tried compiling but failed due to errors
hello exhibit community, i assume this is the correct forum, otherwise sorry mods. i recently "inherited" a t599n and i am taking the challenge of compiling an ubuntu touch rom for the device. i have very little android/pc experience. however, i have successfully built from source (cyanogenmod) and ported quite a few roms to other devices. i just upgraded my ubuntu version to saucy as precise was unable to install the phablet tool. i will be using meticulous's github sources and i will start building tonight/tommorrow depending on repo dl. any dev suggestions?
fail
i was unable to build the meticulus kernel with ubuntu source provided. i was able to build the system.img and boot.img. but w/o the ubuntu touch kernel specifics, the results are a bootloop. im off to new ventures for now as im unable to port anything to this device as of yet. i have some ideas revolved around slimroms soon.
Not sure if any developers here owns a Galaxy S6. If anyone able to port Ubuntu Touch latest to Galaxy S6 would be very appreciated.
I believe that roms of anything that isn't android will not work due to the Exynos processors not having their kernel sources released.

Excuse my ignorance as I don't have any development experience more than being a script kiddy, but was not the old Ubuntu Touch roms just sampling from CM11 sources for most of the drivers and kernel stuff?
As I say, I don't really know anything but I thought that was how it went. I don't care if there is an S6 ROM but I just want to see any port of Ubuntu touch on any device I have.
Edit: Actually it looks like it was CM10.1 for the old ones from like 2013.
Later they moved to CM11, and they may use 12 now, I'm not sure.
