Email jumps to the bottom when refreshed - Rooted/stock 4.4.2 - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I've had this bug for a while now, I've tried all I can think of to fix it. There doesn't seem to be an option for anything like this.
Every time I refresh any of my email accounts, from the E-Mail app, my entire inbox jumps to the very bottom (oldest) email. I then have to scroll all the way back up to see my newest unread email in the inbox.
It's not a sorting issue because the actual cursor on the right jumps down to the bottom as well. Any ideas?

I don't use the stock email app but there's probably a setting somewhere for "autoadvance" maybe try changing that to newest?

Like I said in the original post, there are no settings in the email app for that kind of thing. The only thing that comes close to that category is "Sort by" but like I said it's not a sorting issue. If it were a sorting issue my cursor would stay at the top and I would see the oldest emails first, the end of the alphabet first, etc. Instead the cursor is jumping to the very bottom of my email list instead of refreshing and staying at the top where the new emails are.
In regards to autoadvance, that is just a way to tell it what you want to see after you delete an email from the full screen message vs deleting it in list view.

How can I get rid of popup email notification?

Hello,
is there any way to get rid of the popup notification at the bottom of screen which says "[E-mail account name]: You have XXX unread email messages"?
I'm pretty tired of having to dismiss it like 1000 times a day.
Thanks in advance.
Start - Settings - Sounds & Notifications.
While you're there, you should go ahead and setup sounds and notifications for all events that might bother you.
I've cleared every notification option, including 'Display message on screen' for the 'Messaging: New Email Message' event, but I still get new email notifications that I have to dismiss. What am I missing? Is this a bug?
I am having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution?
The only way to do this is by editing the registry. There is a thread here somewhere about it. Search around. I'll post it if I find it.
Please post if you find it. I have been searching relentlessly.
OK. Found it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1565104&highlight=disables+email+notifications#post1565104

Manila Mail returns to WM mail folder view?

I read my emails from the TF3D Mail tab. I tap or wipe on the email in the envelope to open them. All good.
What I do not get though.... is when finished reading I press the BACK hard key and 90% of the time I am returned to TF3D Envelope view. Other 10% of the time I am returned to the WM Mail "Accounts" view showing my four email accounts and SMS/MMS.
I cannot see any rhyme or reason as to why this behaviour varies. Can someone PLS enlighten me. I think I can have multiple unread mails in various accounts and the BACK behaviour is still not consistent. Although I could be wrong.
I actually like it returning to my WM Mail "Accounts" view and would like it to always go here on the first BACK key stroke and then back to the envelope on the second BACK key.

touch flow 3d stuck on 1 new message

Has any one experienced a problem with Touch Flow 3D when the number of new messages displayed by the green number on the messages tab is stuck and won't clear even when all messages have been read in the mail application?
Any ideas of how to clear/reset the Touch Flow 3D so it no longer shows new messages indicator?
To date I have tried several hard reboots, deleted out all recent messages from when this problem began, however it still wont clear.

At your email click on inbox, so your in the Microsoft list view then click on the top left inbox drop down. You will now see the tree of all the email boxes. If you expand the Outlook email you should find that the unread email is the one automatically created in that inbox.

The problem is with the Messages tab, not the Email tab which links to outlook. The Messages tab loads up to ArcSoft Messages application to handle SMS messages. When I go into the inbox of this application there are 0 (zero) new messages.
Go through every msg and wait 5 seconds
Hey did you ever fix this? I have the same issue and it's driving me nuts!
Same here. Nothing above worked. Any other suggestions????
+1 same problem here except on a touch pro, any solutions?
its not removable unless you flash the ROM again
flashing the rom again fixed this issue for me
Inbox clearer
Hey guys I just ran across this thread and have a program to solve your problem. Ive had it around for a while and I do not recall who wrote it but just run the .exe and it should solve your problems. If anyone knows who wrote it feel free to mention.
Thank you for sharing.
I had the same problem. now, it not just 1 sms, but 2 sms.
I try all the solution, except flushing the ROM. can someone teach me how to do that? and what is the risk?
thank you

[Q] Calendar--Disappearing Appointments

So noticed something weird with the stock calendar app tied to my work (exchange) calendar. I have a daily meeting every morning and clicked on it to edit it, clicked to edit all instances, didn't actually make any changes, and after I had clicked save, the appointment no longer shows up in the calendar. It's just gone.
I still get the meeting reminder/alerts but it isn't in the calendar. Two other weird things--after clearing the alert sometimes it will show up again for the meeting--so I've gotten 2 and even 3 alerts for the same meeting. (This might be because I clear it, instead of clicking the alert and hitting dismiss in the calendar app). Today I did click the alert and dismissed it from the app. After doing that the appointment showed up again. After going into "edit" (to try to prevent the double alerts), and hitting save, once again, the appt. is gone.
Anyone else seeing this?
I too had this issue with some of my Outlook appointments that i brought down.
I noticed that when I went back to the month (in month view) where the very first instance of a recurring appointment took place, all of the appointments would pop back up and be displayed. Kinda wierd.
I tried entering appointments through the phone and it wont save anything. Hopefully the 2.2 update will fix a lot of exchange issues, since I feel this is a very important piece of the phone.

Bug with email client on G900AUCU2ANG3

I just upgraded by AT&T Galaxy S5 to G900AUCU2ANG3 earlier today and I noticed a new bug in the email client.
When you put a checkmark next to an email and then click the trash can icon to delete it, or choose to delete an email while reading it, you can't open another email from the email list until the "1 deleted." notification on the bottom of the screen goes away. You can press on another email as much as you want, but the app will only actually open the email once the notification has disappeared.
This is a new bug, it wasn't always like this. Unfortunately, it slows down my flow as I keep having to wait for that notification disappears to continue reading emails.
Does anyone know how we can inform Samsung of this bug?
Oddly enough, this may be intentional rather than a bug. Prior to this update, the only way for me to reliably delete an email was to swipe to the left on the message in the message list. Now that I have updated, all the different ways to delete a message work. It seems that the phone is communicating with your email server to delete the message(s) and nothing else can be done until that is complete. This is just my theory.

Hmm, interesting theory.
However, the phone should be capable of doing two things at once: allowing me to read another email while it's busy deleting another one.
