UART/USB Mode save - Galaxy Camera Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
After I changed my UART and USB settings in the PhoneUtil menu to PDA, after a second reboot it automatically changes back to MODEM mode... I've tried everything, reverted back to stock and all, but it still changes back to MODEM....
Anyone out there that knows how to make the change to PDA permanent?
Thanks!
EDIT: Okay, now it gets weird... Whenever I save USB mode to PDA, my GC reboots, freezes, boots again, only this time in MODEM mode...... ?!

[Q] i9000BVJF3 firmware 3 button fix

I have a I9000 bought from orange france and i try to fix the 3button combo and i succed connecting it to odin and follow instructions from xda forum about fixing 3 buttons:
Someone with disabled "3-button combos" need to test it out.
If done correctly it will not harm your phone.
If it does, I am not the one to blaim.
NOTE: YOU MUST START ODIN BEFORE CONNECTING THE PHONE TO THE COMPUTER. OTHERWISE THE FLASHING PROCESS WILL HANG.
Make sure you have atleast 60% of battery left (to ensure the voltage is sufficient).
This is important, otherwise the flashing will fail and the phone probably wont boot.
If your phone is connected to the computer, remove it now!
If Kies is running, shut it down completely.
Enable USB debugging.
Start Odin3 v1.3 flashing software.
Connect the phone to the computer (DO NOT mount the SD).
Start CMD and type in "adb reboot download".
Select the GT-I9000_SBL_RCVDL_FIX_TEST.tar as PDA file.
Tick "Phone Bootloader Update" box.
DO NOT select .pit file or any other file.
Press start button and wait it to finish.
Once the phone has rebooted, turn it off and try to put it to download or recovery mode.
Please report immediately!
Even I donĀ“t think it will change anything.

But i have a big problem because my phone now wont turn on. it dosnt rebooted..
Please help me..
can anybody help me?
Please help me, i can not do anything for now because i can not power on the phone
Not sure about the condition, assuming that after update it has not rebooted, please takeout the battery and try then put it back and try to start the phone, you may want to check the 3 button option and try to get into recovery after putting the battery in.

Odin3 progress bar master reset

I've searched all over for this but could not find a solution.
I tried loading Froyo 2.2 on my samsung captivate and it blacked my phone - it wouldn't turn on at all. So I placed it into download mode using the button method and hit "master clear" on Odin3
I am not getting a progress AT ALL. Retried this many times with no bar ever showing up.
Anyone know what else I can do?

Master clear is not performed in download or recovery mode, but from a phone that is ON and running, with USB DEBUGGING turned on.
If you can get to download mode, flash stock 2.1, then boot into stock and perform the master clear (USB DEBUGGING ON) and then load the flavor ROM you want.
Master clear will only work while the phone is on with debugging enabled.
Try opening odin, take your battery, sim, and external sd out, replace your battery, and hold both volume buttons while plugging it in. then click start on odin once you see download mode on. This will take you back to stock so you can retry whatever it was you were doing.

[Q] im guessing i need some serious help here..

Alright, i ****ed up (next time ill read the whole thing)
This is what i did
"The steps to flashing a stock firmware are already described in a couple of other threads, like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=818556
Nonetheless, here a quick sum-up of what you have to do:
2.1. Open up Odin.
2.2. Put your phone in the "Download mode" with the 3-button-combo (Volume Down + Home + Power).
2.3. Connect your phone to your computer (DO NOT CONNECT THE PHONE BEFORE OPENING ODIN OR THIS WILL NOT WORK).
2.4. Odin should recognize your phone and one of the "com" boxes should light up yellow. If this isn't the case, try repeating the previous steps and eventually connect your phone to another USB port.
2.5. Select your firmware in Odin.
2.5.1. --OPTIONAL-- If you want your phone to be like new, you can select "Re-Partition" in Odin, which will make it repartition your Internal SD. In this case you also have to use a .pit file (WARNING -- you will lose all of your installed applications and settings).
2.6. Take a deep breath and click the "Start" button.
2.7. Wait for the firmware to be flashed and for the device to be restarted.
2.8. You now have a stock firmware. If you also selected "Re-Partition" in Odin, all your programs and settings will be gone and your device will be like new.
After this. my phone restartet. and some andriod installing startet, HOWEVER...
my battery was low so it booted off...
So now when i start it, i cant go back to 3 button download mode. (doesnt work?)
-it seems to start Normal'ish. everything is insanely slow. but it works..
when i plug in the Power, it turns itself off..
alright, i need some brain on this, how to sort it. any help is awesomepants
Firstly, always flash with a full battery. Make sure that it's fully charged for this.
Now, download android SDK here http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Next, connect the phone to the computer and type "adb reboot download" (no quotes)
Then unplug the phone from the computer, start Odin, get your PIT and PDA files, tick re-partition, connect the phone back to the computer, and flash.
Hit the "thanks" button if it worked, PM me if it didn't.
Turns itself off when i insert the usb-.-
i got the AT&T logon screen.. cant get to 3 button download mode..
is there any hope..?

[Q] Bricked phone

I've bricked my Galaxy mini S5570. I've tried to flash a new kernel ( cyanus1.6 ) and after my phone has rebooted, it has turn off and it not started again. I don't have warranty.
I've installed Kies, I tried to flash Official Gingerbread with Odin, but it doesn't work. Every time I try, it remain stucked at "<1> setup connection...". When I connect the phone at PC, Odin show a yellow box, I select the images to flash, but after that it remain stucked.
I can't enter in recovery/download mode, because my phone don't turn on.
I've tried :
-to uninstall/install/reinstall drivers for phone and KIES
-to change USB ports
-to change computers
-to change usb cable
-to put the battery in while the phone is connected and I press VOLUM DOWN ,OK BUTTON, POWER BUTTON at same time.
-to recharge my phone
-to try many version of ODIN
What can I do? I would try with a JIG usb, but I don't know if it will help.

You can't read=you brick your phone.
We can't repair your phone, as we can't repair many other people's phones, everybody gets the same response: SSC!
Then why we have threads like this?

Galaxy S10 will NOT boot into Android.

Hi, i recently flashed stock after having LineageOS 17 for some time, and by the time the firmware flashed, everything seemed fine, first it went into recovery and did a factory reset, then it rebooted again, and nothing happened.
If i normally try powering it on with the power button, nothing. not even a bootloop. i can only boot into recovery mode and odin mode. i've reflashed the firmware 5 times now and the same issue still occurs.
and if i try rebooting into system from recovery, literally nothing happens, only black screen. i also tried force reset which didnt do anything and was still on a black screen. (keep in mind, by black screen i mean that nothing shows up on the screen, no logo.)
the firmware is G973FXXU4BTA8_G973FOXM4BTB1_BTU
i hope someone can help me fix this, because its driving me crazy!
Download the latest firmware. Put ur phone into download mode. Shut off the phone, hold volume down and bixby, connect type c connector to the phone and then usb to computer. Load bl, ap, cp home csc. Never factory reset on a custom rom.
