Droid turbo widget - Nexus 6 Themes and Apps

I figured I'd try the flashable zip from the moto x 2nd gens themes and apps section(I had previously a moto x) and it worked.
Disclaimer: Using the following is completely at your own risk. If you can't get it to work, then you shouldn't own a nexus device. Go buy a dumbphone and move on. Haha just kidding but seriously...you are responsible here. Not me. Not xda. You're here of your own free will.

For simplicity, thanks to @deuce_biggins , here's a zip to flash.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934531270

How did you get it to work? I flashed using TWRP and I can't find widget.

I flashed it, then added the widget named command center.

Iflashed it too but on my nexus there is problem in clock there are no minutes numbers only dots. Sorry cant add screenshot i have too low post count.

There is a glitch or whatever you prefer when the hours are double digit, the minutes are dots. Same for me.

I have not been having problems with it but I did not flash anything I just followed this http://www.droidviews.com/install-motorola-droid-turbo-circle-weather-widget-android-device/

Nice widget. Thanks to the threadstarter and the poster above me

i followed that as well but for some reason the widget won't center on the screen and it cuts the top and bottom off of the widget.

Same here.
Could it be due to the DPI change? Mine is set at 480.

I am using nova for my launcher and it centered for me, for the top and bottom I just had to resize it a very little bit and everything is working as it should.

Screenshot.
XDA app wouldn't let me add it to my previous post.
Resizing isn't possible.

Works perfect thanks

I think there's another thread over on the moto x 2014 forum which includes a resizeable widget.

It works OK on Nova as said previously, but it does not scale. For my setup it's the right size anyway.

I followed the directions, and it is not centered, nor re-sizeable.
I honest-to-God searched XDA for the resizeable one and did not find it. If someone has the link to the post, please share!
EDIT: NVM. I found it. Here is the link to the post for the sizeable widgets:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57692304&postcount=64
It worked out perfectly for me with the 2K sizeable widget. (Screenshot attached).

You're right. I didn't even see that the other poster said that. I just pasted the APK into the /system/priv-app/ folder.

I'm sorry, I don't want to be That Guy, but how do you theme widgets like that?
The one thing that's been keeping me from using them is a lack of uniformity.

Pull them, edit images, push back into system. Don't worry I will release a flashable zip for the themed widgets.
Here are mine as they go from left to right on my phone.
^^^How the hell did you get you contact pics to look that good? Mine look like a digital camera from 1991 took them, atleast in the people widget they do.
They're the pictures that I assigned to my Gmail contacts on my computer. They were taken with a 10mp camera.

Quick question: I do not see some widget specific .apk's in my system/apps, so where would those be located? I'm thinking data/apps but I'm not sure. Sorry ahead of time if this is a noob question.

Correct on the widgets, they were actually started by someone else but lynx took over at one point.
All your system apps will be in system/app and installed or market apps in data/app.
I will release a zip that will push any themed widgets to system/app.

[Q] HTC Hero Sprint Icon Question

Is it possible to change icons? If so, how?
My phone is rooted, and using the stock rom it came with from Sprint.
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Software: 2.27.651.5
Thanks for the help!
If you use launcher pro from the market as your launcher you can change the icons and the name too...
Long press on a blank space and add the app you want...tap on its picture to load your gallery and choose whatever icon you would like...there are plenty to download...

Download Desktop Visualizer from the Market. Allows you to put custom icon shortcuts anywhere on your desktop for just about anything. You can't change any of the taskbar or menu icons, but it does allow you to change/customize any icons you put on your desktop home screens.

Haha, thanks for the compliment! It really wasn't that hard to be honest. Just resize the png, rename it, and find where to put it. Once you figure out that you can open .apk files with 7zip, the rest is a cake walk!
The problem with most n00bs is that they don't want to get their hands dirty... and the laziness! Haha.

WindowsPhone 7 kinda theme (ICON LAYOUT)

Me having way too much time on my hands. Fully working and fully customizable widgets. Widgets layed out to mimic WP7. This is Running Launcher Pro Plus. NOT A ROM. Stock 2.1 w/update fascy Bloatware removed.

I was thinking about creating one for myself.
Would you mind telling me how to create these custom widget for Launcher Pro Plus?
I think I saw it somewhere else in xda but couldn't find it.
a sort of step-by-step instruction would be nice
Thanks in advance.
There is a very detailed post in the general android forums. Its called android phone 7.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Here's what I did, I didn't read any other forum on how to do this. I just wanted it so I just basically did it how I would do it.
First, get launcher pro plus. You need LPplus so you can resize widgets. Hide your notification tray, empty out the bottom dock.
I'm using "Desktop Visualizer" on my Android phone. Check it out here: http://whatsonyourandroid.appspot.com/details?p=jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr
Download desktop visualizer from market. Then download icons from google images. Then just add the DV widget like normal. It will instruct you which app to use, super easy. Then just resize everything like you want it. Then repeat.
Did you not have any problems with Desktop Vis slowing down your phone? On my Droid OC'd to 1,000 it made my screens super laggy having around 16 widgets total.

Maybe slightly work on the wording fitting into the icons instead of floating. I have the original set on mine for the past week and love it. Was working on new icons myself haha.

Yep. Launcher Pro + DV + GIMP + Sick Day. lol.
I like the concept, but not the Win7 icons that are out there. I will probably take the time to fit everything better size wise later, but this was fun.
How did you get more control of the title icons. Using DV I didn't have much options with the resizing of the title.

The image and the title move dependent with each other using DV. I'm sorry im not understanding. Its very tricky cause the title and image are preset its just manipulating the size.

If you want to create a folder, just put one icon on top of the other and it creates one automatically - it's a standard Android thing

you realize you can litterally make the folder? you dont need an apk to make a folder....you just drop several apps from the app drower on top of each other on the homescreen and POOF! a folder has been created. as for the name, open up said folder, tap on the name, change it to "create" as you want to do, and you are done....such a weird request..
Use the pa stock gapps. It will create the folders you are looking for
This thread is ridiculous

[WALLPAPER]MKBHD iPhone Graph Style Wallpaper for Nexus 6P

MKBHD posted a very cool wallpaper for the iPhone 7 which had a graph background with labels for everything like Signal, battery, etc. which you can check out here:
https://twitter.com/MKBHD/status/837727947096129538?s=09
I wanted a similar wallpaper but for Android and after hours of searching, couldn't find one. So I made my own?
Now since Android is very customisable in the case of launchers, it is virtually impossible to make a universal wallpaper for the home screen. But the lockscreen is not that customisable (without root) so I made one for the lockscreen too!
If you want the same for your home screen, I have posted my Nova Launcher backup, which can be restored to get the same layout as mine and then the wallpaper will fit perfectly ?
I have posted the wallpapers for the lockscreen, home screen and some screenshots which can be found in the downloads at the bottom of this post.
