......rather than open a new thread, I was wondering how much sharper the gear vr is to a Google cardboard headset. My gear is still in transit and I have used a friends £12 cardboard which was good but I'm hoping the vr is a lot better.

I actualy replaced foam seal with optional what came with gear vr and include nose seal. That made huge difference for me. I think unit sits differently on my face and lenses are lining up with my eyes better than using seal without nose piece.

I have not tried the cardboard; however, everyone seems to agree that our Gear VR is much, much better :good:

Did this really make that much of a difference? I've been hesitant to try because I'm not sure how easy it would be to replace should I find the new cushion to be a diminished fit.

Meh
They are just vinyl stickers.
They look awesome until they start to peel on the corners.
0 - minimal protection for the phone.
Overall, don't expect it to last long if you keep it in your pockets, unless you are really good at taking care of things.
Just my experience though.
I figure itwould still protect it when I sit it down tho

I just got a free one from sprint today. Seems like pretty good quality. I keep my Nexus in a case while at work, but on weekends I normally have it out. I just got it to save the back piece from major scratching.

My husband's GPS has fallen way too many times for my taste. I don't like windshield mounts. I would hate to see my Note fall!

I bought it yesterday - it is wide enough to hold the note 2 but it's at the limit of the holder's maximum width. Not sure I'll keep it as it's maybe a tad too flimsy. I would be a bit afraid that the plastic arm might break and then note would fall.
Thanks for the tip though, joey.

I feel the same way. I just don't trust windshield mounts.
I got an iOttie for mine and have it suctioned in a cubby behind my shifter in my Honda Civic. This mkes it so the holder piece leans on the edge of the opening, giving it support.
It does take the weight (doesnt fall off when driving on the bumpy cornish roads/lanes)
It fits perfectly with about a cm to spare
It might look flimsy but its actually quite tough
If you want something better spend more than a fiver

This is a tenner in my local tesco - how did you get it for a fiver? Coupons?
I didn't mean to be overly critical of it by the way - it looks solid enough. I think I will have my phone mostly in portrait though, so i'd like something at the bottom to stop it slipping down.

No probs, all in good jest.
It was double up tesco vouchers so only cost me a fiver
I've been using the Mountek MT5000-D and it's great.
Works great with both my note 1 and my note 2.
I was using the tetrax x-way before but it just couldn't handle the weight of the note.
it would just keep falling off.

This case must be hard to find. I had a 3 week old one i sold on ebay last week and it went for $41....the case was only $38 in stores. Its a really nice case. Feels really good in the hand. Some people complain about the kickstand but i like it. Heres a thread i started with some pics http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014892

Not there yet. I've been looking and emailed case mate they said just keep looking. looking thanks
my 2 cents
Hi all,
Just wanted to chime in on this case. The protection is great and the side grips make the feel more solid as opposed to slippery. The extended rubber on the face helps when it is facedown or when it potentially drops so it's not flush against the floor/table. My only beef is that the kickstand rubber part has come loose so i'm not sure how durable that part is, it's not that much of a hassle as I can still manage to prop it up but I'm afraid it will eventually break off.
Most complaints are about the difficulty of getting the kickstand out
P.S. all ports are accessible i.e. stylus, charger, headphones, camera, speaker
Raised power & volume up/down buttons
Whats the matter with case makers these days? Release the case with just 2 colors, one is black the other is white with pink. Its exactly like body glove diamond series... ffs have they ever thought men uses with white case too? Why pink?? Could just use red and that would plays with well with both genders...
Nice looking case but have always had the rubber part warp on every case I had. Evo 4g, evo 3d, and the skyrocket. I ended up using the speck case for my note 2. Even if anything happens to it I can exchange it for free at the att store.

I love my Bodyglove slim case (not the slippery one, the tmobile model), but I wanted a kickstand. I couldn't find one I liked. So while browsing I found a site showing a credit card cradle. I decided to improve on the design. Trace a credit card on an old VHS case, use the pics as a rough template, use black tape to adjoin them. Note: place pieces together, not flat when taping, it help them stay flatter in folded position. I you use a case make the notch the width of your phone with case on. At the angle I used it works in portrait or landscape, very stable! I made 5 in less than 30 minutes, one for work ID case, wallet, home girlfriends house, etc. Sorry cant show with phone in cradle as I dont have access to another camera.

P.s. I love the brothers and sisters that use the donate ware system. Some their efforts really can help you: floss, impress, improve confidence, edge out, mingle, garner, equalize, whatever. But, if someone's app helps you out, and it becomes a tool, help them out and show your appreciation (when you get it). I am not a developer, I am a consumer. This sitr, and my discovery of it, has augmented my progression, and I'll remember you guys and gals for it. Thanks.

Honestly.. Only an idiot would carry a phone like this in their back pocket with or without a case. Jmho though.

Honest question. What's wrong with no case? Is it fragile?

I feel quite relieved to see that video, but want to see tests by people out there too (and want to put a sock in Bendgaters).
Apple needed to justify there poor design so tried to take some heat away and mock Sammy for a gap which I may add is on most phones to allow for glass to fit in between the frame. Good to see Samsung showing the phone is of high build quality and proving it scientifically. Apple messed up but will never admit it as well.as all the isheeps. I love my Z2 but isheeps are very worrying people. Almost like a cult.

lol why is someone an idiot for using a phone as it was intended. Phones are designed for this kind of abuse. Just because the iPhone is poorly designed, doesn't mean all phones are. I don't put my phone in my back pocket, but tons of people do and their phones don't bend.

Nothing, as long as you're not a klutz Phones are not designed with cases in mind.
Why would you put ur phone in ur back pocket? That makes no sense. Don't wear jeans that crush ur nuts.

Well I'm 6.3 265lbs.. Case or not the Note4 is NOT designed for me to sit on it.
EDIT: People can say it's made to take it.. It'll be fine.. But when it breaks it's MY money that has to go for a replacement.
