Hmm, did you also pulled out the battery while using apx mode(nvflash)?, Also look in device manager or a new device comes up if so then do install drivers or something like then and then click for search automatic. It will probably install because I assume that you've installed the APX drivers before already with the toolkit. I could and have unbricked my device from even worse bricks then what you are having now so it should be possible to fix yours also. You know, the 2X is really unbrickable with NVFlash.

You can use NVFlash to flash it to stock rom. Heres how to do it:

achieve APX mode and other tricks adhoc

Since this model is new, i assume all facts are new too.
- SAFE mode is started by holding Vol+ and power button at the same time at startup.(adb shell is enabled, nothing is running(single user mode?)
- FIRMWARE upgrade mode seems to be Vol- with USB cable connected at power-on.
- APX mode is started by holding Vol+ and Vol- down at the same time at power up(when pressing power).
* since we do not have a bootloader.bin yet, it will be hard to try anything. can we use htc onex bootloader.bin?
* tegra3 is also locked with a SBK, which we do not have either (i believe).
-Battery mode
Turn off mobile. attach USB cable to pc and mobile. turn on mobile.
- adb reports shell not found and some root details?
im still digging into the fastboot mode, so information can be extracted on the rom rel. etc.. maybe someone already knows?
ill keep this updated, if i find out more.
APX drivers
Do you have APX drivers for 4X ?
not yet, i assume those for asus prime should work as well?
it not work.
@Dexter_nlb
I read that Asus will release NVFlash for Asus Prime.
Do you think it will also work for us?
I believe they for a fully working apx mode since prime got a full recovery using apx mode?
recovery details added.

Nothing happens. Nothing shows on screen. When i hook it to computer, it makes a noise that it found some device, and in device manager shows as APX, instead of as modem or anything else....
Bricked. APX mode only
Did you find how to fix it?. I have the same issue after a failed upgrade using LG mobile support tool.
No SW upgrade mode, no screen or leds activity, no nothing. When is connected to PC, APX device is recognized. I found some drivers and the APX device is displayed now as "NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices". I'm stuck there. I was looking into NVflash utility but after the command "nvflash --sync" only get "unknow device found"
Can anybody help me please?.
How can I get into SW recovery mode or something that shows some activity from the phone?.
Thanks and regards

i guess not much can be done. sent mine to the service center and got it back 3 days later fully functional. i guess it's easier to restore for LG since they have all the tools and magic keys.

NVflash doesn't work, at least after upgrade to JB.
Before give your devices as bricked, try to enter in S/W without battery a few times and after with battery on.
Sometimes stressing the device have some results.
But the best you can do is take it to service.
Thanks gingerboy92. I follow your advice and my phone is in a LG service center now. Hope they can fix it.
I think that's the only safe way to recover it. Looks like Tegra 3 devices have security keys that are unique for each processor and without them you can't go further.
Amigo ruedaslocas, I tried many times to do what you say, unsuccessfully. Thanks anyway.

Lgp990 stuck at logo screen, not detected by windows

Hi there, I'm new here but I have been following this forum for a long time.
Here's my problem:
I own a LGP990 with DJANGO rom. apart from the random stuck in the DJANGO loading screen which required me to reinstall it, it was all working fine.
Until yesterday, when I plugged it to recharge. The battery charged for a while and then got stuck for hours when almost done.
I unplugged it and try to turn it on but since that moment it always gets stuck at LG logo screen and when plugged it doesn't display any battery charging. I then tried to start recovery to reinstall from zip as I did every time it got stuck in the django loading screen, but recovery does not start.
No problem, I thought, lets smartflash/nvflash a stock rom and i'm good to go. Wrong, the phone won't even get recognized by windows, though I installed the driver several times (disabling driver signature as well) and running it as admin; i tried different driver versions, different usb cables... It does not even play that background sound when plugging usb devices...
I'm using windows 7 32bit.
That's it, I have ran out of ideas... anyone got one? (besides sending it to assistance, since warranty is voided)
little edit: whenever i plug the battery the phone start by itself!

I meant to enter recovery. If your phone turns on when you put in the battery, the power button is stuck in a connected position so to enter recovery remove the battery, press the vol- and then insert the battery. If you get your phone to enter recovery and reflash the rom I will tell you what to try to fix the issue.
1.)remove battery
2.)press volume - and volume +
3.)connect phone to pc via usb
4.)download apx driver
5.)(go to device manager install manually apx driver, select the folder where you downloaded and extracted apx ini driver file
6.)flash using nvflash
7.)enjoy.

mmmmhhhhh..... change usb port, change cable, reinstall the drivers. other than that I am at loss
AIO tool has an option to install Nvflash driver. Its the last option in a different color.
Or you could try to reinstall LG driver. I just downloaded the latest driver from lg support tool today. It works fine.
And be noted that you have to hold down both volume up and down while plugging the USB cable to enter nvflash mode. Holding vol down while plugging the cable in will enter boot loader mode which is not the same thing. Remember to remove the battery first of all.

Update failed - black screen!

I tried to update my LG P880 with LGMobile support tool yesterday.
After connecting the phone, I clicked on Start updating. A window popped up, telling me that it was downloading.
When it came to the update part, it lost connection with the phone. I did exactly as it said I should do (unplug, take out battery and put in in again, turn on the phone and connect it to the pc), and it restarted with the updating.
On about the same point as last time, the pc lost the connection with the phone. I did the same as last time, but now, the phone just doesn't boots into the S/W update screen.
The phone is NOT booting, NOT working to flash kdz, and it is NOT detectet as a phone, neither by the pc nor the LGMobile support tool, but my pc detects a device called APX when I connect the phone to the pc.
What can I do? And what is wrong?

LGMobile support tool needs the phone to be in normal mode (generaly...).
No SW or other, just turn ON your phone and connect it to PC.

Nothing is working
I don't get the SW upgrade screen when connecting to PC, the phone is an "Unknown device" og named APX under device manager, and the KDZ program cannot find the device.
Is it any other tings I can try?
so if its apx, you can simple flash it via APX mode with nvflash, right ?
(i remember when i rooting my Optimus 2X via APX , that flashed prerooted system.img... so you can try this method)

So what happened with your phone- do u get lg icon and charging indicator when u connect phone?
did u try lg flash tool - i know it needs usb serial port but just try and after all ports ready disconnect phone for 3-5 sec and reconnect -maybe the tool will feel it this way - i'm trying to get manual copy of of that lge usb serial port driver but its not working well on win7 64 i think it'll be easier on xp- if so try to update this APX driver to lge cdma usb serial manually and tryflash tool on it
also the flash tool has board dl option u might try
when connecting phone turned off here i can get some adbs drivers one of them is adb anroidnet usb serial port - the problem is when charging note dissapear(display turned off) its gone and i've to repress power button normal press to get it again

LG P880 Infinite Loop, don1t recognize USB and don't enter in recovery mode

Hello! My LG P880 was Cyannogen CM11 mod, but was a little slow. So I decided to downgrade it to CM 10 I lowered the phone settings, installed it, but when it restarted was giving infinite loop. Now the phone does not go into recovery mode, it is not recognized in the PC USB. When I put the usb cable in pc it tries to recognize but gives blue screen and the pc restarts. Already reinstalled the driver on the PC but not accomplish anything. Trying to install the original rom by LG flash tools but it does not recognize. I tried to get into recovery mode but nothing. Weird how your phone makes you get a blue screen of death.
Can you say what it writes in blue screen? And also try your luck on another PC.My sister's laptop could not recognize my phone no matter what I did.
Blue screen is most likely due to some broken software/hardware on your PC rather than a problem with your phone itself. So do try it on another PC.
Can you also say, how it doesn't go into recovery mode? When you hold vol - plus power, does it make the phone reboot, vibrating but still stuck on LG screen or does it not even vibrate?

don't worry, the problem is your PC not your phone
try this 2 fix your pc:
start CMD with administrator privilege -->
chkdsk /f /r -->press enter --> Y
restart the computer, if you lucky it will fix you pc and you will be able 2 fix your phone
(the fix/test take 1-2 hours, depending on how big your HD and if you have errors/bads ectors)
if you r not lucky, you probably have driver collision and it more tricky 2 explain how 2 fix.
anyway, if you in a hurry do it in another computer

Hello, this is the screen error: STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000,0xFFFFF80003482A56)
- I already tried on another PC, but it is giving blue screen too.
- When I try to go into recovery mode squeeze the volume down and the Power Button, it goes into normal boot.
- I checked the disk, but doesn't work.

its very strange that u got blue screens in both computers.....
the error code that u gave usually points that something wrong with mscorsvw.exe and/or NET framework.
i would recommend to update to the latest NET framework or even uninstall it and install it again.
Another good idea is 2 install the Android SDK (it installs a universal usb driver), this might help - ill try this before reinstalling NET frame.
i hope it helps...
