Easiest way would be to RUU...they can be found in Android Development, use 3.04.651.2 or higher.

when you say use 3.04 or higher could you tell me if this would work?

I don't see a version number in this one

That one is older(version 1.29.651.10) then what you are currently on...so no you cannot use it.
This one matches what you are currently on.

The higher the number the newer it is.
They can all be found HERE.

Try installing HTC Sync Manager it will install drivers needed.
Once it's installed you no longer need it so you can uninstall from your PC if you wish.

Only other things I can suggest are...
Make sure you are using the latest RUU.
Try a different cable OEM is best.
Try a different USB port (USB2 work the best).
Try a different PC.

Yeah the version number of the RUU you are trying to flash.
Maybe you are using an older RUU?

I think i was using the 3_04_651_2 one that you suggested.

USB is not working after S-OFF

so, i decided to s-off my htc one using revone, i was on ARHD 11.5 ant the time... it all went well! until i found that every time i plug it in to my pc, it wont connect nor will it charge! i can charge it from the wall, but the only way to go that is to restart the phone whilst the cable is plugged in.
Even after restarting the phone when i try to plug it into my PC it launches the car app on the phone, connects to my pc for 5 seconds then it all just crashes! What im guessing is that it thinks that my pc is some sort of car dock? and it says it unsupported.
In terms of solutions:
i have tried going back to s-on
tried using ruu's and various custom roms
even re s-off the device!
countless hours have been spent scouring the internet for solutions and trying some myself before posting.

Did you try a different cable? I think the problem is either your cable or the microUSB port. Triggering dock mode suggests you've got a bad connection somewhere.

As said, update your firmware base using the firmware package on the insertcoin website. Your device is still on 1.20.401.1 which wasn't even on the first phone to be released (or if it was it was quickly updated!)

I have just flashed the firmware still no luck. Im downloading insertcoin rom now though, see if anything happens there!
i have the exaclty same issue as you, only charges from wall charger, something makes me weird, tries to enter fastboot mode from the bootloader, at least I can transfer my files via fastboot and use the official RUU- commands like , fastboot flash recovery ,etc etc. I'm from the debate if physical damage or software, it is worth mentioning that I Use revone for S-OFF my htc one m7, and since renove is a early alpha version ,can corrupt any partition with usb stuff like drivers or something like this?

Phone is soft bricked, attempts to fix haven't work

Yesterday, I attempted to install a new rom. I had been using CM11 nightlies up till this point, and after being annoyed about certain aspects of my phone not working. I wanted to try something new.
I found ViperOne, and went to install it, thinking that it'll be the standard, run-of-the-mill install with no problems to be had. After getting through the install procedure and attempting to reboot to system, my phone dropped me back off at the bootloader. Thinking that I had forgotten to wipe something, I went into the recovery, wiped data, dalvik cache, and the cache, and attempted the install again. Once again, my phone dropped me off at the bootloader.
I thought, maybe I had a bad download. Re-downloaded the rom, same result. "Oh, I'll just try something else then". I found a Google Play Edition rom for my device, and decided to try that. It got stuck in a bootloop. After some googling, I attempted wiping the data/cache/dalvik cache again hoping it would help. Nope, still stuck in bootloop.
At this point (and after having running into a very similiar situation before) I decided to go for broke. I did a full wipe of the phone, and sideloaded CM10.1.3 (only stable CM rom for this device afaik). As it was installing, I noticed an error. "Unable to mount /data". I've had this problem before, and the way I fixed it last time was to install and run a stock rom. At this point in time, I was also getting frustrated and decided to put the stock rom back on my phone so it would at least be functional.
I found a stock rom and installed it just fine. The phone didn't even get stuck in a bootloop either. However, once the phone had finally booted up, I found that the touchscreen was unresponsive. I remember having this issue the last time I tried to use a stock rom. After a little bit of research, I had found that the problem stems from installing the wrong version of the rom. It was suggested on one of the websites to put "fastboot getvar version-main" into adb to find out what version I needed. It returns "version-main: ".
It was at this point that I remembered that I had made a backup of my phone before I attempted rooting. After some searching around, I managed to find it. That being said, I have no idea what to do with it. The folder where I made the backup contains a handful of .win files and some md5 checksums.
Since then I have been attempting seemingly random RUU versions in hopes of stumbling across the right one. It's been 5 hours, and I haven't had any success.
I would greatly appreciate any and all help that can be provided. If you guys need additional information (I'm not sure what I should include), let me know. I know some of the more basic ADB commands and their functions, so bear with me if I ask some questions about how to do certain things.

I had this happen to me also. Ends up i had to flash a new firmware on the phone and it booted right up. Also make sure you are using twrp recovery when you flash this rom. I used cwm and think that is where all my problems started. Hope ya get it worked out and may not be your problem but is exactly what happened to me and have i fixed it.

[Q] HTC One M7 firmware help!

Hey guys,
Sorry if I am in the wrong place for this question but I am completely stuck. I recently bought a HTC One M7 which was rooted. I did not know this when I was buying it. The new update came out and my phone asked me to update. I hit yes. My phone switched off and didn't come back on. After extensive research I got it back on to find the following:
1) It was rooted
2)Bootloader started up and TWRP is on the phone
3) There is now nothing on the phone. No firmware or packages at all
4) When I try to flash anything I get the error message: can't mount to system. I can mount to everything else ok just not internal storage.
I am unsure what recovery image and RUU to use. The phone (I was told was unlocked) was O2(Giffgaff).

it seems to be both. I try to flash RUU via fastboot and I get a signature fail. So I try to flash a ROM to the phone and it says failed to mount system. I put the items on a usb and tried it but get an 'unable to unzip' error. Its a bit above me to be honest. Thank you so much for helping.

When you say run the RUU to you mean the RUU from the desktop or directly from the phone? How do I know if I have the correct RUU? the closest one I could find was for O2 and the radio was the same down to the last digit being different. Post a fastboot getvar all
RUU.exe files or ROM Update Utility files are executable files that run on Windows PC
RUU.zip files are simply the same as above but rather than using a Windows exe file to run them, they are packaged in a zip file that can be flashed in Fastboot mode
The RUU has to match your CID/MID. If your S-On, the RUU as to be same version or higher

Thanks! Is there any way you could tell me the correct RUU to download? I will post a fastboot getvar all after work this evening. I tried one that I thought was right but when I click to run it as administrator I get prompted with the normal are you sure? click yes and nothing happens. It just doesn't run. Tried downloading it again but still nothing. Any ideas?

OMG My phone literally did the same exact thing today!! I woke up, a few things were force closing so I decided that I would just reboot the phone...... Big mistake, once I did that, the phone just stayed in the booting up animation. So I figured hey what ever ill just reflash the ROM in TWRP.......Nope, couldn't boot into recovery either, the phone would flash the TWRP screen then just reset itself. Again, I thought no biggie ill just reinstall TWRP. This (again) proved to be useless, after multiple (successful) install's the phone still refused to boot into TWRP. So I finally got CWM to install, a noticed a few things at the bottom of the screen about something not being mounted properly, I didn't pay that much attention to it, i just wanted my phone back at that point. I tried to wipe my phone for a fresh flash, but as soon as the wipe began the phone reset itself. At this point I was on the brink of throwing this thing into the torrential down-pour that god decided to place in my city.
Next I tried to install Viper ROM because I knew it had a wipe functionality built into it's Aroma installer. Went through all the checklists got to the start install screen, clicked next, and then began to wipe......... and then reset again........
So finally I got TWRP reinstalled, and go install a fresh ROM and and immediately met with a screen full of : "Unable to Mount XXXXXXX" (Picture attached). So then I figure alright well my last resort has to be to use a RUU. Found this nice little thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316726) and decided to use the FUU (4.19.401.11 Full Wipe). Unfortunately all that did was move my HBoot from 1.4 (or something like that) to 1.5 (or something like that), put the tamper flag back, and bring back the annoying red text at the bottom of the phone at boot (the thing about development build, blah blah blah). I reinstalled TWRP yet again hoping for the best, but still nothing. It cant seem to mount anything (what ever that means).
So now im here, stuck using my old One X. Any suggestions or answers or criticism would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!!!!!

Stock OTA does not find updates // broken stock recovery

hey guys,
i just wanted to go back to stock with my HTC ONE. I flashed the Guru Reset M7 3.62.401.1.zip on my device but now it won't find any system updates. Also the recovery seems to be broken. Even after flashing the recovery seperatly the phone only shows a red triangle when i try to enter the stock recovery.
It also does not find any updates with the SuperCID.
Do you have any idea how to fix that?
I have the international Version of the HTC ONE.
Thanks in advance!

post your fastboot getvar all please without imei and serial number, be sure to remove these two items before posting, there have been a lot of users on here lately looking for replacement imei numbers etc, I just had a PM asking me for one, with that info they could clone your phone.
next, are you sure the 401 ruu is yours, that's why I want your fastboot getvar all.
are you s-off ?
the red triangle is stock recovery.
if you are s-off, change your CID back to HTC__001, super cid is not in the 401 ruu's or OTA's

Dont start the RUU first. First put the phone in fastboot mode, get the getvar to check if all's in order.
Once you getvar shows, it means the device is connected. After that, try the RUU
If still no luck, use RUU.zip

A live CD is basically an OS running on a USB/CD. Instead of the portable version which runs within the Windows OS, you will boot directly from the USB containing Ubuntu. Nothing will happen to your existing Windows; once you're done with the RUU flashing process, just shut down the computer and unplug the USB
To get it running, download the Ubuntu image and click Download:
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/
Then, to prepare the bootable USB stick, this link:
unetbootin.net
Download that software. Choose the correct Ubuntu version and create the stick. Once you're done/ have doubts, let me know

Cool. Now, you have to change the boot priority to the USB as first booting option. If you know how to do so, then proceed
If you don't, then there are two ways to depending on the pre-installed OS on your PC
Did your computer come with Windows 8/8.1 pre-installed or did it come with Win7 or older ?

[Q] Not getting any signal

Hi, I have been reading this forum for 2 days straight trying everything and most of the things helped but now I am stuck.
My problem: I am trying to use the phone on Bell network. No signal, GSM status : Emergency Call Only. When I select Bell from network list it tells me that the SIM does not support the Network. If I put the same SIM in another phone it works and gets network.
My phone:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.57.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4T.28.3218.04
(bootloader) version-cpld: None

(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
Preffered Network Type : CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto
CWM: M7 TWRP Nandroid Backup CID BM___001 1.29.666.5
What I did:
1) Tried the tape method in case SIM card was not making proper contact with phone pins. (Than I realized that was nonesense since the phone was detecting my contacts...)
2) Flashed new firmware (6.06.401.1 came with radios nothing changed)
3) Installed the Bell Mobility Nandroid Backup (still nothing except I can now install the Bell applications from my SIM card)
I am looking for suggestions, ideas and possibly solutions. Any help is welcome!

have you tried another sim in the HTC connected to a GSM network, I have a suspicious feeling you have a GSM phone there and Bell requires a CDMA phone, completely different partition layout.

also, another thing ive noticed, is the firmware you flashed is a 401 firmware, thats WWE Europe, not 100% sure if that maybe at fault
I believe someone recently had success flashing developer edition firmware and RUU on their device and they were on Bell.
I'll see if I can find the thread, EDIT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/help/dpes-developers-edition-canada-t2851008

be sure to check the MD5 and file size of the RUU before flashing, and if the download is a little slow, you can try this link instead, same RUU:
http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...8_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353887_signed_3.exe
no, WWE means world wide English.

there isn't one.
plug your phone into the computer and make sure it says fastboot USB on the screen, then double click the RUU.exe file and it will launch, follow the on screen instructions, flashing takes quite a while, about 10 mins I think mine took, and at points it will look like its stuck, not very reassuring I know, it got stuck at 5% for me and then suddenly jumped to 95%, then seemed to sit there forever until it finally completed.
EDIT: is your Bell sim still in the phone ?

damn, I had that problem once, its not the RUU at fault, its your computer, this is how I fixed it, its a bit long winded and you have to restart your computer after each installation, you need to install all of them one at a time, or you can try another computer if you have one available.
