I cannot get LTE at all on my vs980, using CloudyStock 2.6 and cannot get T - Mobile to receive LTE. On 24A band.
Fiddled with all the GSM settings and the fastest speed im getting is 4/0.3 contrary to a similar phone getting 50/28 so its not reception
Anyone have this problem? THanks in advance
I am switching from Verizon to T-Mobile this week so I'd like to know if your able yo get this to work. I don't have a T-Mobile sim yet so I can't test but from what I've read you just need to adjust your APN setting for T-Mobile. Have you tried this yet?

I've read through the threads I could find, but haven't been able to figure out if I could get 3G speeds using an ATT data sim in a T-Mobile galaxy tab. Does anyone know? And if it's possible, how?
I don't think you can. T-Mobile and AT&T use different radios for 3G.
Never gonna happen, different radios. Edge speeds will work but 3G won't.
I have an unlocked Galaxy S4 active i9295 and I cannot get the 4G or the LTE working since I do not have even the option I only have WCDMA/GSM I travel around the world with this phone and now I am in Ireland on 3 and still I am getting H+ showing and not LTE or 4G. Is there a way to activate 4G or is there any special 4G sims ?
I would check your APN settings, seeing how you are unlocked, the proper APN may not be installed to match your Sim, check with your carrier, to make sure they are 4G and LTE capable and get their settings.

Try ShowServiceMode. It should help to unlock LTE band. It worked for me here in Poland, because local career's LTE was locked by my Russian firmware. But using this program I can only switch between phone calls (GSM/3G) and LTE, they cannot work simultaneously.
Thank you guys. One major thing is that why I can even see the option in the settings? If anyone else has some information please help out.
Thanks
I'm leaving for NO, LA tomorrow. I need my phone to be reliable. My issue is the phone drops signal often (T-Mobile US Prepaid) but it says it still has full bars and 3G/H+. SMS, MMS, internet and sometimes even calling all fail until I reboot my phone. I am on OmniRom Kitkat. This also happen on stock ICS and JB. Would switching APN settings from T-Mobile US (epc.tmobile.com) help at all? At least for calls and texts? I have 5 options. Simple(APN simple) StraightTalk T-Mobile(APN wap.tracfone) T-Mobile US(APN epc.tmobile.com)
T-Mobile US LTE(APN fast.t-mobile.com) and T-Mobile US LTE IPv6(APN fast.t-mobile.com). Would any of these make a difference? Or can I force roam on ATT and would that help? I bought a new sim but that didn't fix the problem. HELP Please!

Try Paranoid Android or implementing EPRJ RIL into Omni.

This phone is missing the AWS/1700 band support for T-Mobile. If you are on prepaid, then you should try getting AT&T compatible MVNO.

The 1700 should only effect data. And even that isn't entirely true because my area is refarmed to 1900
No. T-Mobile 3G supports both voice and data.
T-Mobile 3G (HSPA)
•With 3G, theoretical maximum download of 14 Mbps.
•Our 3G network operates on the 1700 MHz and 2100 MHz frequencies. You'll need a phone that supports 1700 MHz and 2100 MHz to connect to our 3G network.
•On our 3G network, you can use voice and data services simultaneously.
UMTS/WCDMA is technically capable of both voice and data.
Ok before I begin:
Device: HTC One m7 (verizon, but works on any GSM/CDMA)
Using Straight Talk ATT.
I've been doing some research for the last couple of days. Some say LTE is not supported anymore, others say it is, but you have to force LTE.
I'm trying to figure out a way to get my phone to stay at 4g/ LTE speeds without defaulting to 2g/EDGE.
I've tried using *#*#4636#*#* and selecting "TD-SCDMA,GSM and LTE", but this later defaults to GSM/Auto.
Also status bar displays EDGE, and in settings/ device info it shows Mobile Network Type: EDGE.
This is getting frustrating because I was using T-Mobile straight talk and had the same issue. All I'm trying to do is get LTE working.
So what I am asking is: Is there a way to force my Straight Talk ATT phone to use LTE?
I live in the city, and know for sure that LTE works everywhere here.

You may have better answers in the verizon forum. This may not be an option though as I think LTE anntenna is different in that modle and wont connect to none verizon lte as the GSM radio is not the primary one. I would never advise getting a CDMA device to run on a GSM network. It alomst never gets anything other then edge.
Yes, that's the answer I have been getting.
But some said that their is a way around it.
I also have a Verizon access code from Straight Talk, but cannot activate it...
I keep getting the error when trying to activate on Straighttalk.com that the zip code i provided doesn't have coverage. It does so for every single zip code... and I mean EVERY zip code, no matter which city.
Any Idea on this?
If I could get it to work with Verizon, I wouldn't look further.
I got a unlocked AT&T G928A, its currently on Tmobile but the 4G LTE keeps going in and out on it, it skips to Edge and then back to 4G LTE. I checked the phone does have LTE B12 and B4 which is what Denver uses for LTE band. Anyone know how to troubleshoot this? I have tried to do a master reset and verified the APN settings to be correct.
