I have read the thread by nrupesh2912 on how to extend storage on Micromax Canvas Turbo phone. It is really helpful, however I have some complications:
I have encrypted my Internal storage and (maybe) as a result I can't take a NANDROID backup of my device which is essential before formatting my SD Card.
Another member FSadino has suggested that I can directly flash a custom ROM / new stock ROM to my device right after extending the storage.
I can proceed with the steps mentioned in nrupesh2912's thread for extending my storage but after the green circle part I'm little confused on how to proceed.
Can anyone please explain how to do it? I want to install Pure Xperia Z2 ROM.
I have rooted my phone and have installed CWM recovery on it.
Please Help.

1. To Extend Phone Storage you have this tutorial that has pictures and is very well detailed. Which part of tutorial do not you understand?
2. To flash custom rom, each rom have instructions how to install. what is your doubt?

Right I do not have any doubt in individual processes. What i don't understand is how do I place the zip file of ROM after extending the storage, since the memory card becomes corrupt and needs formatting?
Thanks

You have 2 options:
First flash rom then extend storage.
OR
First extend storage, format sd card, copy zip file to sd card, flash rom.

So I recently flashed Pac Man for my Vivid. I also flashed the gall-jb. I have a couple of questions.
1. Does it matter which version of gapps I use? Obv you want the most recent one, but will having an older one make you not be able to access your internal storage?
2. If it is the way I flashed my ROM would you suggest flashing it again or first flashing an ICS and then reflashing a JB ROM?
As always feedback is appreciated.

No - you need the 4.1.2 Gapps from October, any other version won't work properly.
More than likely it's your recovery. Are you now or have you previously used CWM recovery? If so, you need to get a new recovery (WCX or TWRP), boot to that recovery, connect to your computer, attempt to mount internal storage to your computer. Your computer should prompt you that your storage is corrupt and needs formatted. Format it. Then flash the ROM

This is the gapps I just downloaded, I was going to try it out.
gapps-jb-20121011-signed I think this is the one you are talking about...
So I have had cwm, but needless to say, I hate it since it sucks!! hahaha..I switched and now have WCX.
So I boot into recovery, while in recovery I connect to my PC. From there I essentially follow the prompts (it will prolly tell me my storage is corrupt and needs formatting.
Format my storage and then flash my rom?
When I format my storage will I lose my data on my SD card? This is where my ROM is. Should I remove the SD card?
Sounds like a simple fix if all goes well and Murphy's law doesn't take effect.

No. If you're having trouble with internal storage, that's what needs formatted. If the ROM is on your external SD, it won't be touched. If the ROM is on internal storage, you still have to format it. Once it's formatted, put the rom back on storage

I'll give you an update shortly.
Your help is appreciated.
External SD Card is FAT, not FAT 32, does that matter at all? I am still able to get to the files using root explorer.
BTW, the format did not work. ugh.
You did use the mount USB storage in wcx no?
If not it will never find your emmc
If that don't work try twrp... same process

Does your phone boot after the format?
See if android trys anything after the format via windows then boot

Initially it was saying there was not an external storage available to take pics and what not. In my not so genius thinking I didn't put two and two together and think that was not possible. I formatted the internal which is what was wrong. I can now access the external as well. Both mount perfectly

Yes. The camera on PAC and other AOSP roms saves to internal storage, but refers to it as external storage because it's not /system storage. Glad it's sorted.

Later on I tried the 3.5Gb partition EBR files and successfully flashed them. It successfully extended my phone memory to 2.8 Gb but I was unable to mount the Internal SD. Hope I have done some miStaKe during the flashing via SP Tools.

Few more issues
I see few issues with this ROM.
1. Earlier I used to have flip to silent feature in my Turbo however after flashing with this ROM i`m unable to use Flip to silent. I tried Motion gesture settings but still no go.
I noticed that with Titanium backup when I move all the user apps from phone storage to Internal Card after restart they are back in phone storage.
Also is there a way to default storage apps in Internal SD card.

I Also have a problem
Following directions here:
<can't post link yet.... standard cyanogen for maserati instructions>
using safestrap 3.65, it seems like it's trying to create the rom-slot in internal (flash) storage and there isn't enough room.
Am I missing something for selecting the sd card?
I put in a mostly blank 16GB micro-sd with the cyanogen and google zips...

Ah, quite confusing, as I didn't think of internal storage as an sd card (no card) but I understand why they refer to it that way, as it can be mounted just like a usb attached camera.
Turned out I thought I was storing pictures on the micro-sd, but instead had filled up the internal one. Zip, zap and I now have CM11!
Thanks so much! seems a lot zippier than the verizon crap!

Phone Bricked. Please Help...
I too own a Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 which i have bought about a month ago.
The real problem which I was facing with the phone was it had a very low storage for apps.I tried a App which i found on the internet which could increase my internal storage while lessening the sd card capacity. After i used the app it guided me to the recovery mode and when i choose to wipe sd card/restore data/backup data it says no sdcard. and the phone is soft bricked i.e. it doesn't forward from the micromax logo.
please help I m in deep trouble:crying::crying::crying:
very easy and less time consuming method
this is the most easy method and takes only 30mins to complete it
thanx a lot

Yes. You don't have to use this, this is for Indonesian/8GB version who want to keep their default partition scheme.
please tutorial install guys
flash it over your LMY47O rom, wipe cache, dalvik-cache and then reboot.
If it's bootlooping, then do a factory reset, or revert to your backup if you want.
