Great site, I have a folder on google drive of all their photos since the start of the site (that i like and are high enough resolution to look decent). I have my win7 pc cycling through the folder changing every fifteen minutes and I'm constantly looking for a Muzei extension that lets me use drive, like dropzei but for drive. Anyone know of anything that'd work?

Very nice, thanks for the link.

thanks for the link.!

I've also looked through this:

Or these:
https://www.google.com/search?q=jpg...sch&source=lnt&tbs=isz:ex,iszw:1440,iszh:2560
https://www.google.com/search?q=png...sch&source=lnt&tbs=isz:ex,iszw:1440,iszh:2560
If you change the keyword up a bit it can yield some interesting results.

Sweet.

I was just wondering what everyones favorite or coolest add on app was? My latest app is compass i drove home in the gps mode.
One of the coolest apps is probably google sky.
SpringPad and Google Sky
favorite app
Currently is vlingo which is 10 bucks in the market but MTS users can get for free right now by downloading via www.vlingo.com. check it out.

I would have to say GMote. It talks seamlessly with your computer, so that you have your entire music collection with you. It streams rather well... Its nice when you have a Multi TB music collection.

do you mind me asking how do you have yours set up? i was only able to get it to work via my home wifi connection (same goes for all of the "remote" apps, ie. remote desktop & rdp, phonemypc). but i need it to work from a remote location.
before the last update google maps had me off by quite a bit now its dead on and I dont lose signal as often either....
Head to DynDns.com and set up DNS account (free). Have it tied to your ip address. Then, for gmote settings, instead of your internal IP, put in your chosen web address.

Nextel eat your heart out!
My fav is the app called "tikl" it is just like nextels PTT system but for android and doesnt use your minutes! international calling say what? lol its beta and free atm... I would pay for an app that is just like nextels ptt... the beta is good but it could be better... hint hint devs!
Maybe not very exciting, but I've found I can't live without LauncherPro.
For more neat-o factor, c:geo and Robotic Guitarist.

camera 360
i use so many useful apps all the time for different things I have my favorite app of the week. Camera 360. There is free and paid. you can take a photo and it will add effects that the stock camera does not. It can take the picture and "sketch" it so it looks as someone drew it. it also does that with painting which is neat. it will also add a ghost into the pics just for fun or creepy with kids or something. It's fun. I paid for the app after using free and it adds the ability to take a b/w photo with color added to just one spot or something. it is neat.
tried the camera 360 but it drained my battery fast I still use it from time to time.

New Media Hub App from Epic 4g

Works with the Captivate.
You got a link for the app so other people can try?

The Epic media hub works lol.
It's a nice app. Very fast and video quality is awesome. If the price of renting movies and tv shows was $1 like Redbox I could actually see myself using this sometimes.
How do you insall it if you do not mind me asking?

Seeing as how you are brand new I will help you out.
Download the file and transfer it to your phone. Download apps installer or some other file manager from the market, most require your phone to be rooted. Click on the file and install.
Next time though make sure you read around the forum as it is discussed in lots of places how to install apk files.
The app looks nice, but who is going to pay $3 for one episode of a tv show? If Samsung is going to play in this space they better get the cost down or everyone is going to pass them buy.
Personally, I don't even like paying $1 for something i can transfer from my DVR.
so.... unsupported file type?
I downloaded Iron Man from the media hub and my captivate says "device does not support requested file type" has anyone else had an issue with this?
Mine won't play the picture. Frustrating

No need to root your phone. You just need to sideload the apk.
Here's some links on how to do that

Awesome! Too bad it's becoming something I might not ever use. Still wanted to say thanks for sharing this.
Wouldn't you need to root the phone as there is already a Media Hub app on /system?

Bah - my brother has the Epic and was able to rent/dl movies from it.
Of course the Captivate doesn't work at all. Any word from Samsung if they are currently working on a fix? Or is this yet another lockdown from AT&T to prevent us from using it and just missed the "to be removed" on the ol' checklist?
works great. The TV section is lacking but the Movie selection is quite impressive.
Are you saying that you're able to watch movies?
Mine just shows a black screen too

Audiogalaxy is a much more viable option, unless you are on linux, then try this.

That it is sir. I use it everyday. I use pandora to discover music, sound hound to find out what that song is, and music junk to download it.
I <3 free music apps!
Also, Good find billygoat32. That renders this WHOLE thread useless, as it is available for every OS.

good first impressions. surprised to see how well the nexus 7 screen looked when it was streaming the movie. UI looks very snappy. looking forward to your full video review. Right be a good idea to show off some tegra3 optimized games like Dead Trigger. also on how fast the stock chrome browser is.

I like the video. Simple enough to cover the basics of the tablet (screen, video, jellybean, etc.) and a simple comparison against the fire. The video didn't go too much in depth against the Fire but that'd be a separate video in itself.

[Video] Expanding your Nexus 7 storage options!

Quick video I put together about some neat options for limitless storage on the Nexus 7. I was going to do a write-up in this thread but the video is fast-paced enough that I'm not going to bother for now, perhaps tomorrow when I'm less busy I'll do a text write-up of it all.
Great video.
I'm currently exploring storage options for my Nexus tablet and I didn't know about the cifs storage. Too bad that it doesn't work on the stock kernel though.

Could you makea video showing how to set up cifs manager for noobs? I think it would be very beneficial for the nexus 7 community.
Thanks.

Thank you for the video. I learned a lot. I'm new to xda and I've been looking for the answer to this question everywhere, but have yet to find it. I bought a 64gb sandisk cruzer usb drive to use with my otg cable with the stickmount app. Because of limited storage, I was wondering if I could actually save installed applications to the flash drive. In other words, if I can use a feature similar to "save to sd card" for apps, but have the apps save to my flashdrive. If anyone could make a video or just type up a response, I would really appreciate it.

The one solution I can think of (and I'll test it once I get home) is to use symlinks. I'll see if that sort of solution works with stickmount.

Neat video I was considering the portable wifi drive now for a while but with that third option you mentioned that sounds pretty promising and that would make storage much easier.
What was the name of the app for the 3rd option? Couldn't find it in the play store.

I'm going to put together a tutorial tomorrow on getting cifsmanager set up.
Which OTG cable are you using? Where did you get it?
Thanks for the info! Was wondering how you are making your network share accessible over the internet when you say that your network share is web facing. Is there an easy way to set this up in DDWRT, or is this with a VPN connection of some sort? Thanks!

Nice video. My daughter tried to repeat the word "****" though...
I'll have to use a headset for any of your videos I guess.

I'll be doing a video this evening outlining the entire process for getting cifsmanager and your share set up. It's especially easy with dd-wrt, though!
Stay tuned!
EDIT: Didn't have a chance to shoot that second tutorial today. I'll make sure to put aside time to do it tomorrow.
