Do you have Flash on your Browser?
Most likely, if you are an XDA veteran, you already know this... if you are new here or simply don't know...
This APP should enable Flash on some third party Browsers (like Dolphin, Firefox, etc...)

Just thought i'd note flash player no longer works on the latest firefox(34), jt just shows a grey square where the flash element should be.

Hmm strange, not sure what changed, but after a reboot it seems flash is working again. No definitive answer then i guess, people are complaining in reviews about no flash but there hasnt been an update.

Dolphin will run flash that's what I use to stream video.

Whenever I play flash video in browser full screen, with flash 11.1, I get a large black triangle covering half the video. When I uninstall updates, the problem goes away.
Any one else have this problem? Any way to fix it, and still update flash? It's my understanding there will be no more flash updates from adobe.

Any flash video does this? In which firmware? Stock 3.1, Stock 3.2, Overcome or the ICS alphas?
EDIT: Flash video is fine here. I also have the 7310. I am using firmware KJ5. Tested using normal browser and Opera browser, in full screen. No triangles here.
Stock 7310 wifi with stock browser. Seems to happen with lots of videos. When I roll back updates, it goes away.
Weird no one else has the issue.

You should try upgrading to the firmware I linked in my previous post. Do a backup of your apps of course, then do all wipes and flash away. I've been 2 months with KJ5 and the motley kernel. Smooth sailing compared to Stock KHA firmware the US retail unit comes with.

I'll be doing this after work for sure! Tired of getting denied by so many sites that I visit that still use Flash.
is there any reason why this is better than using Firefox beta from the GP store, and getting flash from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1214700&d=1342976097 as per another post on this board? This didnt require root, and was very simple.
Works for me anyway.
Thank you for this. I got it working on Browser but flash doesn't work on Dolphin. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for the video on how to install flash for rooted Nexus 7 device. My device isn't rooted yet so I side loaded the flash apk and used the beta Firefox which also works well and is easy to do.

Worked like a charm using Boat Browser. Thanks!
The play store has pulled the flash downloader, it's not there anymore.
You can still find flash and sideload it by googling "flash 11.1.111.8 apk"
Frankly even this last version of flash is buggy and doesn't live up to its desktop counterpart. And unfortunately there won't be any more updates.
(edit) Ah, they haven't pulled this version of the flash downloader yet, they have however pulled 2 others, and rather quickly too. I suspect that this one may not last too long, grab it while you can.
After updating my Note (India) to ICS 4.04 I noticed that flash no longer works in the stock browser. It is not even available in the PlayShop anymore.
I tried installing other browers too but non of them show the option to enable flash plug-in in their settings. (Have attached a screenshot of the settings page for your reference).
So how do we view flash based websites and flash video on ICS 4.04?
Any help with this issue would be most appreciated.

Flash works on my ICS 4.0.4 (stock) and is available in the play store. It won't be supported from jelly bean onwards.

Flash works just fine on Jelly Bean. You'll have to sideload it (have an APK and install it manually). Works just fine on my Note (running CM10).

Why does flash not work on Galaxy Note?? I am using Note myself and its on Android 4.0.4, and flash works fine. See the screen shots.
But i do remember one thing while i was updating my Note from gingerbread to ICS. I got my Note updated to ICS but could not find SNote app in it, later I have factory reset my phone and then rebooted it. Then rather than booting automatically, it again went to Update mode and started instaling something. When my phone was ready with ICS, i got the SNote app. Try factory resetting and rebooting ur phone after backing up all the imp data, like pics, music, vids, contacts, apps(apk files) etc etc. Hope this works.

YouTube may be just switching to HTML5 to play videos by the way. You should check via the adobe flash website.

Did you get it to work after a reset? I am curious to find out as there is not much discussion out there with people confirming flash to work fine on ICS. (I am wondering if the performance is similiar or actually worse? Is hardware acceleration working on the Note with ICS for flash?) Many people seem to have problem with flash content after upgrading to ICS...
I m on 4.0.4, and flash is working well.
I google for the apk and install it on my device.
Works well... U only can't find it on google play.

Hi. You need to use a browser that supports flash. Chrome doesn't. Dolphin is very good and supports flash. Need to enable it in the settings. I am assuming you have manually installed flash first.

That was my problem. I didn't manually install flash. I got it from the archive site and now it works. Thanks.
