Yes you can. Search the device forum. There are plenty of tutorials on this.

Say people of xda. I was just wondering if anyone had a good hack for the pan digital novel. Yeah its old as helz! Firmware version BN02-1029-2010-9D-wifi only. Man I just love foolin with stuff and I rooted it but its the only android in my collection that doesn't have a stock ROM and that's on my first and last nerve!! One of you folks have got to have a file in the basement of your hard drive that you could hook me up with... cmon. Please.

I have 2 of those. I just rooted them and used titanium backup and that's as far as I got.
They did update the firmware one time.

Its all stock just rooted with like z4 root or whatever. Has tibu and all that. Its rooted. I just want to ROM it. I probably won't even use it after that either. Just killim e to have a stock android device. Just throwe some downloads. I don't need instructions or disclaimers or none of that.

Instructions:
1. Search and read XDA forums.
2. Slap self to realise that one has posted on the wrong forum. (we have a Q&A forum)
3. Slap self a second time to realise that starting a new thread asking about topics ALREADY found on XDA forum is not really a smart idea.
4. Go and post same question yahoo.com

5. find cust.no (dialer->*#*#service#*#*->software info->customisation number)
6. go to the "latest firmware per cust.no" thread
7. find out if there's an update for you
8. slap self because reading the first page of the "general" forum would have probably given you the answer.

can a mod close this? thx!
I'm a total noob when it comes to rooting, I don't understand any of it. So, here is my problem: I've got an LG 4X HD running Android JB 4.1.2, after I installed the official update a while ago. I'm tired of the newer official updates not coming to this device, si now I want to root it, put 4.4 KitKat on it and make the led notification work. So, if someone can guide me step by step through the rooting process, I would be really grateful. I have read all the posts regarding this device, so please don't give me links to other posts.
Thanks in advance!
You can't just root it and then put KK on it. If you have problems with rooting you will find it unbelievable difficult to unlock bootloader what you need to do in order to install a KitKat custom rom.
I would suggest you to whether read more and try it or just don't do it. If you don't understand how to root you LG 4X HD you will run into big problems

I have just managed to root it. Now I'm trying to unlock the bootloader, but when I'm in /cmd and enter "adb reboot oem-unlock", it says "error: device not found". Can you please help?
You need to install the right drivers (maybe manual).
But those questions been answered many times, please search XDA for the solution.

You need fastboot and adb drivers

Please don't crucify me if this is already covered. I looked but didn't find it.
I have Verizon MOTO X DE
4.2.2 using TWRP
I had lots of issues (cause I'm stupid) getting it loaded. Anyway... I want to revert back to stock 4.2.2, update to kitkat then load the exposed framework.
Can someone point me in the direction of how to accomplish that?
Thank you!

OK wait... Told you I was stupid.
TWRP is what gives me root? So when I created my backup before installing TWRP something went wrong and I've not been able to revert back to stock to upgrade to kitkat
How can I do that?

there's no need to take the ota because the fxz is available:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0
download the vzw 4.4 file and flash with either moto fastboot or rsd lite. please don't ask how to do this, there are many tutorials available.
btw, you can flash all partitions if you want, but really need to flash only boot, system, and radio (NON-HLOS.bin).
Thanks!

So the AT&T Note 3s just got a 4.4.2 KitKat update, but I am currently rooted and want to unroot, so I need the stock 4.4.2 firmware files. Does anyone know if these are available yet and if not, how long it usually takes for it to be released? I'm a noob here and rooting and unrooting my Nexus 5 was far easier, so please excuse me if I'm asking some dumb questions.
Thanks
