Hi Guys,
i got my Nexus 6 yesterday, everything worked fine. I rooted it with cfroot, root worked and i think wifi too. Today i saw that my Nexus is not connected to wifi. Wifi was disabled. I tried to enable Wifi and it didn't work. The Phone doesn't find any Wifi, when i get to home screen and then back to Wifi it's disabled again. Is this any setting in Lollipop which i don't see or is it a bug / brick?

It's possibly one of your apps causing wifi to keep disabling itself. No problems here.

Thx for your answere! I found out what was the problem: i copied the wpa_supplicant.conf from the old to the new phone, which blocked the wifi feature... does anybody know how i can can get all wifi data to the new phone?

just searching here but can you flash the stock radio image to fix this?
the wifi function is now working again after i deleted the wpa_supplicant.conf but i would like to get the wifi data on the new phone....

Since I updated to JellyBean (JellyMod currently) I have an issue with my wifi connection.
It shows connected but i cant transfer any data (every app fails to establish a connection) until I turn off the wifi and turn it on again. then it ill work for some time and fails again after a not defined period of time.
I found a lot of threads regarding similiar problems but I did not find a solution yet (and for me having a rooted phone installing an app that that runs in background like wifi fixer is a workaround, not a fix
I already did a complete factory reset and fresh install of jellymod.
My router at home is a netgear wndr3700 with the latest dd-wrt. all my other devices work great.
I set the wifi of my i9070 to always on. also i installed auto wifi for location based wifi on/off-profiles.
all of this worked with gingerbread, never had problems...
any idea? seems like a lot of galaxy phones and even tabs are affected...

I have been trying to get WiFi Tether Root working on my HTC One but it doesn't seem to want to work. I have watched the video for it and the HTC One for Sprint and the settings he used don't work for me. He did try to support me in the Youtube comments but nothing seemed to work. I did find a WiFi tether app that does work but the phone gets so hot it eventually shuts the WiFi hotspot off. That app is WiFi Tether Router. I have also tried FoxFi and PDANet+ neither seem to work.
Does anyone know how to get WiFi Tether Root working on the HTC One with laptops and Android tablets? Below is the troubleshooting I have already done.
I have the current version of WiFi Tether Root - TrevE Mod
I have tried Device Profiles: Auto, Generic, Generic ICS/JB (wlan0), Generic ICS/JB (wlan1), and others
Enable WiFi Encryption is off
WiFi-driver reload is turned on
With any of these settings the WiFi hotspot turns on, the download and upload sections of the application show no data flowing through or very little. Normally stopping at around 24 Kb download and 124 Kb upload.
Does anyone has a working configuration for this app? Does anyone know of a rom that has the native WiFi hotspot app service check disabled? Or a WiFi Tethering app that works without overheating the phone?

Turned on MMS clamping and Routing fix. Still no data going through.
I have the exact same problem as OP. Pretty frustrating. I figure I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is or how to fix it. I haven't tried the other tether apps. If you fix it, please post here with your settings and hopefully it will work for me.
Try and install a custom Rom the stock Rom might have disabled WiFi tethering via 3rd party apps

So i have ViperOne 4.1.0 running with Elemental X 10.8 kernel for over a week now. Everything was working fine up until yesterday when suddenly my phone cannot get an external IP address on my Wifi at home anymore. It connects fine to the Wifi itself however it cannot get any internet connection.
I have reset my router, modem, phone and nothing has worked. Other devices in my home which connect to the same wifi get internet connection just fine only my HTC One does not. Mobile data connection works fine btw.
Whats really puzzling to me is that really i have changed nothing on my phone in the last couple of days and not all of a sudden its simply not working so i'm grasping at straws here...
Anybody experiences similar issues or have any ideas what else i could still try to fix this?

Well it turns out that changing the Wifi channel on the router from auto (was actually 9) to 11 in my case solved the problem. Weird ****...

Unlocked and rooted XT1053 running a custom ROM and kernel. Running same ROM and kernel for months and was using wifi tether daily.
Wifi tether stopped working today, I just used it last Thursday without issue. No changes made to ROM or kernel in between that time. The only thing I've done since is clear dalvik/cache last night but I don't see how that could cause problems.
I usually just turn on Wifi hotspot via the quick settings tile and it enables. Now when I hit the quick setting nothing happens. When I go into settings menu to enable "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot", it gets stuck on "Turning hotspot on..."
Anyone have any ideas?
Edit: actually - unless I'm missing something I can't even find the native tethering app anymore...somehow it got deleted? Anyone know how it can be restored?

i installed cm11 and cm12 on my Motorola droid 4 and in both i have the same problem, when i use the wifi sometimes the internet stops in the mobile but the wifi is still connected, when i turn the wifi off and on again it come back. i don't have this issue with cm13 but android 6 is heavy on my mobile. i tried some solutions like delete /data/misc/wifi files and reboot, change wifi advance settings, nothing works.
when i download my apps from the store randomly the internet stops but the wifi keep connected and sometime it come back by it self, but mostly i have to turn on and of the wifi or reconnect again to the network.
also i make factory reset before install the rom, i used these roms (cm-11-20150201-NIGHTLY-maserati.zip, cm-11-20150901-SNAPSHOT-XNG3CAO3G0-maserati.zip and cm-12.1-20160120-NIGHTLY-maserati.zip)
is there any solution for this issue? please help.
