So i don't know where to post this so i post this here. My friend has an Sony Xperia Z. He tried to flash cwm wich was s2's cwm recovery. So when he was rebooting he took charging cable off. His phone shut down, so he started it again. First thing came up was WhatsApp said wrong date. Then came the real problems. He can't download anything, his device says there aren't sd-card, but he didn't have one. BUT Es file explorer doesn't have sdcard folder wich was earlier there. He cant back up any more, that folder is deleted too. Help my friend here please. I don't know what to do.
Edit: His calling/messaging work.
I suggest you do a backup with PC Companion and then do a factory reset - or even better just flash an .ftf and you can start modding from the start. Good Luck
Thank you!

hey guys just want to know if u guys are having this problem (im on stock .284)
so after rooting using doomlord's tool
the nfc cannot be enabled
if u guys are having this problem there is a solution found in XZ thread
sorry i cannot post the link to it since i accidentaly stumbled upon it
but according to the thread
all u have to do is find the folder data/usf and rename or delete the folder (in my case i just rename it to usf1 since when i try to cut it, it says there are some files that cannot be deleted)
and voila, the nfc can be turned on again
Worked!
I did what you said and worked after reboot.
Actually i didn't even notice that, since i dont use NFC.

what‘s your version?original 284 or other rom?
I tried turning it on after seeimg this thread and it just wont stop. Kept giving me message that unfortunately NFC service has stopped. I deleted that folder and rebooted but it didnt help. Had to format everything and flash again. So should I delete it and reboot? Then turn it on?Or is there any fix available? I dont use it but if someone accidentally turn it on then I will be in trouble. Please help.

Ive that problem before, the popup error just always pop-out, after I try to turn on the NFC.
just replace nfc.apk with the .257 stock, you'll be fine. theres no error anymore. (I give the link below)
set permission - replace the nfc.apk - reboot - wipe data 'NFC Service 4.1.2-_vr_nw' via titanium backup - Done.
and then NFC service can works perfectly
maybe helps u..

Pretty sure I just bricked my phone for the first time.
Installed SS, rebooted the phone which brought me right to SS, did a backup, clicked the boot options and clicked Slot-1 and waited for it to finish doing what it does, installed KN0XRAID ROM on there, rebooted, now it sits at the Main Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 splash with the padlock and won't ever load. The factory recovery does nothing for me and I already tried a reset. I can get into download mode as well.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what happened? Possibly due to my 64gb SD? Did I miss a step?
Thanks.

nice that you help me
you will need atleast twrp 3.0 or ghiher from me.. and you need a external sdcard with atleast 4GB to store all this stuff

so here is what you do... boot the device to twrp... connect it to pc and open adb ( if you dont have it install "minimal adb and fastboot" )
now check if adb is working...

if it is ok then you now see one device in recovery
then do:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/external_sd/part1.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/external_sd/part2.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 of=/external_sd/part4.img
ok you see one number is always changing... we need this with following numbers:
1
2
4
5
6
7
10
11
14
15
partition 10 and 14 are a bit larger so the command may look like stuck but it isnt

Okay then. I tried. But there is a catch: because i am lucky enough to have bought a SH i9305 with 4.1.2, i have the 4.1.2 bootloader and the EFSv1 i believe. Bootloader version is i9305XXBMJ1, and the EFS, as i said before, is the old one, before the XXUEMK1 or the firmware that changed it.
