Hi all, I present to you a Dark Material theme for Temasek Unofficial. This is NOT only a port from Nexus 6 forums, but a full integration into the workings of Temasek's Unofficial ROM. Meaning this is ALSO theoretically flashable on all other devices running Temasek's Unofficial CM12 ROM.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a very time consuming project so I won't be able to release every nightly Katinatez and Temasek uploads, but I'll do it weekly, on a fixed schedule on this date: WEDNESDAY
WARNING: No support will be given if you flash a 3.8 theme on a 3.9 ROM, it is a given that these files gets updated and will cause a brick/boot loop/FC loop, hence, wait for next Wednesday's theme. The theme uses correct version naming, hence a 4.0b2 theme will ONLY work (and made for) 4.0 Temasek. I'm working on making it more widely available by getting more contributors to help, but for now, I'm a lone wolf

On a new update of Temasek (Dirty Update):

First time flashing (Clean Update):
1. In a fully set up ROM (logged into Google account), reboot into recovery.
2. Flash the zip in TWRP

When u go settings/about/extra information that is in all white
Settings/privacy/privacy guard/ there used to be 3 little dots beside the cloud icon in top right for the in app menu to get to advanced options, I think it's missing now? Hitting the menu button still brings up the menu though. Not sure if temasek got rid of the dots or if this mod is missing the dots
Just a couple things I noticed so far but the dark integration overall is so damn nice

I tried changing the background for extra information, but as it uses two of the main system accents, having a black or majority of dark backgrounds would render the text unreadable, hence I kept it white and easily readable when you send a screenshot around for that
Turn off hardware keys, and enable on-screen keys. It's smarter now, thanks to temasek
@nicholaschum: the general look and feel of the dark theme is plain slick and beautiful.
Was wondering about one minor detail: active/enabled option switches have the round circle only a little lighter in color than the inactive/disabled ones.
Would it make sense to color the active state switches in the same teal color as the icons in the main settings list for better contrast?
My reasoning is that with a short glance at a full page of switches the teal colored switches would just jump right into view without "thinking" about it.

Yeah, I was planning to do that, I may create an auto compiler first, and see how that plays out. I'll also write up a guide and release that compiler written in pure batch code, but as time goes on this would just be a bandaid.... So I'll see who would like to contribute and I'll teach them/go around the basics with them [emoji4]

I do not have a Desire HD to test this on, so I would appreciate it if someone could a.) alert me, preferably on twitter, when a new build is made, and b.) let me know if the theme I post here works.
This theme is extensive with over 2000 edited .png files and more than 35 .xml files.
There are no icons included with this theme. If you would like icons, then you can use ADW.Launcher or ADW EX download Minimalist - ADW Theme.

Install Instructions: PLEASE READ!!!
1. Set MetaMorph delay to around 1000 (My exact number is 1054) then press Close
2. Press Unzip/Extract new theme
3. Navigate to where you have Minimalist_Lockscreen_Icons.zip located
4. Select the file
5. Press close on the on the pop up that appears
6. Press Apply all!
7. It WILL force close com.android.phone when it applies the Phone.apk, I do not know of any way around this.
8. While the force close pop up is on the screen, another pop up menu will appear behind the force close pop up and the buttons will say either Continue? or Stop; you must quickly press Force close on the force close pop up, then press Continue? on the other pop up menu; it will then start applying the framework-res.apk
9. The device may freeze up at this point, if it does freeze up (mine did), then wait about 30 seconds, then pull the battery and boot your phone
10. Everything should be applied now

Yup just realized and I love it! Awesome theme, but one bug. When you type on the keyboard, the letters pop-up and show the letter in a box usually, well the box is black and the letter doesn't show up :/ The small "..." shows in white but not the letter. Just thought I'd let you know. But to make a theme for a phone you don't have is just TALENT!
Oh and the "&" button on the keyboard says "&" I think.
Use a different keyboard . HTC IME mod is great.
There is a bug in the browser, small and not very noticeable though:

I've known about the "&" bug for a while but didn't know what caused it until today when I really started looking for it. There is an extra amp; in LatinIME.apk/res/xml/popup_punctuation.xml at line 7 where it says <Key android:keyLabel="& amp;amp;" /> instead of <Key android:keyLabel="& amp;" /> which is what it should've said to begin with. I think the problem was apktool was doing adding the extra amp; when it was decompiling the .apk. The other one was something I never really paid attention too, but I fixed it in LatinIME.apk/res/values/colors.xml at line 12 by making <color name="latinkeyboard_key_color_white">#ffffffff</color> instead of <color name="latinkeyboard_key_color_white">#ff000000</color> which it previously was.
It isn't that hard for me to include this phone, the only difference it has from the Nexus One version that is on my phone is that framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, and Browser.apk are taken from the device specific ROM and themed. The rest are the same .apk's that I use.
The only real work is uploading ~175MBs worth of themes and downloading ~720MBs worth of ROMs.

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I don't ever look at the top of the browser enough to notice that, or I move away from it before it gets to that image. It is fixed in this version. Also, I like the splash screen that you did.
This thread has by far been the most helpful in pointing out things; the screen shots make it a lot easier to know what the problem is.

Because of all the .xml's that I have edited in this theme (along with the ton of .png's) I do not know how all of it would be made to work with the theme engine. Also, as far as I know, there is not a guide out on how to make the themes, or even what all can be themed with the theme engine. Even if I did know how to do all that, after looking at the source for the themes available, there would still be several thousand lines I would have to type up for it. For now, the current method is easier (not to mention proven to work with all my mods) for me.
The images for sliders have come back (Y), but the battery is now stock looking. (#18 build)

I put a flashable keyboard in the OP later on that day because I forgot about those until after I had uploaded the 9 themes, but the fixed version is in the themes now. The "<" key was also messed up along with the letters that were displayed when you longpress the "(" key.
If metamorph works with CM7 without force closing or messing anything up when applying framework-res.apk, then I can make a morph to add them back.

Would it be possible to add color settings for the theme so ppl could use a gradient chart to select a color? I like the theme so far, especially the status bar icons, but also like matching theme colors to my wallpapers. Great job and I look forward to future updates!

if i find enough demand, i might release different colored variations. however, at the moment, i can't promise adding color settings. i'll put it on my to do list though
Oh god now I'm imagining re making every image as a drawable vector so the colors can be changed out.

Amazing theme! A few issues though:
The facebook widget is extremely difficult to read, you can't read anyones status as the writing is black on a black background.
Pull down notification bar writing is sometimes hard to read as well as it is black, maybe making it lighter?

Thank you my good man! Haha I still need to get my cup of coffee I love the theme! IMO, its the best of all of them. Keep up the great work! On menu selects, do you plan on making that green too? The notifications are a little difficult to read to. If you could make the font a bit lighter, that would be amazing. Thanks!

This is my first theme for MIUI or any other ROM. This theme is based off from the official Dark Theme by MIUI.COM. I just extended it's usability by change all orange to blue as well as my own mods/creation to improve it's usability.

Latest theme mod/creation from the official Black MIUI Theme. I just ported some of the previous stuff I had as well as new stuff created for it (mostly just overall UI Experience) in theme into the latest Black MIUI theme since it SO SEXY!!!!
Most of the framework buttons are blue, this is done via draw9patch tool in the SDK to draw the expandable areas of the buttons and compiled via Eclipse.

Version 3.6
After MANY MANY HOURS. I am sad to say that it is impossible to theme the Message Pop-up. This is due to the color style reference used by that activity is hard coded to @color/black. Unless MIUI.COM changes this xml property to maybe dlg_bright_foreground_dark (Dialog Primary Text Color) then it works. At this point of time, do not use the sms pop-up until this is resolve.
I am however, releasing version 3.6 with some fixes that makes the theme a bit more usable.

Selection of option for default settings is now fixed (thanks to sense!)

Scroll overlay text now it's blue
Dropdown list is now usable as I have changed it to dark grey. The reason for this change is that it shares the same color style as the text in the input box. So both are of the same color now. Usable still

This marks the last update for this theme. This theme have reached it's age, as MIUI have also changed their layout and fixed alot of stuff in terms of usability.
Updates includes some stuff to align with the changes to the dark variant (toggles, lockscreen, etc).
Icons is the Signa. All credits goes to Kowalski & Signa Team.
Unlock screen credits to wez89. All I did was inverted the png of the lock icon.

EDIT: I've just installed it and I must say waow! Only thing is that on the lockscreen, although there are no icons, if I press left or right to the clock it does go the the dialer or sms view and I like it this way, it's more minimalist. Very neat.

yes you can, you have decompile the apks and copy out the png for the icons, then place it under the icons folder in the mtz file. The name of the icon should be exactly the same (case sensitive) as the process name of the app. e.g com.android.calendar.png

Yep, I'll make icons of turned off services more yellowish! As the matter of icons, I'll try. (problem is I'm doing it on iMac, and saturation is a bit bigger). As the matter of battery, I'll try to make each one of those battery mods in these colors.

The battery is pretty light by itself, so white text can't be written inside. Only At the side (verticaly).

Im still running hydrog3n but will flash to paranoidandroid if your theme will be realy pro ;D Im looking for a gold/yellow ish theme for a long time already didnt found one when ics started I had it on GB with a jkay theme and since then I didnt found a gold/yellow theme. the real color im looking for is this one;

I was also concerned about lack of ICS CM9 themes out here. They're all the same! I wanted to make something different !
Although it might take us some time for theme creation since I've got bunch of final exams to study for :,(! But as soon as the summer comes, you can expect new theme! (If this one goes well).

Of course there will be many theme variations, including black 'n' white since it's the most neutral. This is the main color since it's game related, but we are surely going to expand our color range and make some new themes during the summer (I hope)!

I hope it will be finished till summer. Since I still got school and bunch of exams next week (one exam per day.. some days 2 x.x), updates may be less frequent during the next week. :/

I thought that a darker blue colour would look really nice on ICS, and thus, this theme was created. Hope you enjoy!
This is a theme for ROMS that include the T-Mobile Theme Chooser, such as AOKP, CM9, CM10, CM10.1 etc

Installation Guide
Theme
Download and Install the theme. (make sure you have install from 'Unknown Sources' checked at Settings > Security)
Go to Settings > Themes
Set as System (Stock) Theme
Reboot!
Set as BOSS Theme
Reboot!
Lockscreen Add-on (please choose the correct version for your phone)
*Make a nandroid before flashing!
Install 'Zip Themer'" from Google Play
Open ZipThemer > menu > Update Edify
Click Browse > your ROM, then Configure (should be done everytime you install/update rom)
Put the lockscreen file into sdcard/ZipThemer
Open ZipThemer, and click "+Theme" and choose the file
Click 'Build It', and it'll create a flashable zip
Create a backup file when prompted (flash this later on to revert to the stock lockscreen)
Flash this created file (ie: BOSS-Lockscreen-update.zip) in CWM Recovery/TWRP, NOT the original file in sdcard/ZipThemer

Is the theme incorrectly compiled?
No worries! Set the System (stock ICS) theme, reboot, and then follow the installation guide!
Is the theme missing assets for your screen?
Click 'Apply Anyway'
Something weird happen to your phone? Theme isn't showing up properly?
Try one of the following: Reboot phone, Restore nandroid backup, Flash the rom again. Make sure you're on an AOSP based rom (AOKP, CyanogenMod, Gummy, Rootbox etc) or it won't work. If it still doesn't work, try re-downloading the file and follow the steps carefully.
No circle battery mod? (as shown in the screenshots)
You're probably running a version of CyanogenMod. If you'd like, you can either change to a rom such as AOKP which has this features, or request your rom's developer to add them. sorry

Very nice theme if you ask me! This tint of blue really looks good on the device. Do you know if the pattern-to-unlock color is also theme-able?

I'm using this theme on a SGSI with 182dpi and it works flawlessly. But don't know if that also counts as mdpi, because the SGS officially isn't a mdpi device.

Is it possible to theme the email app?
also, the highlight colour when you make a selection is orange, which I think takes away from the nice blues of this theme, a light grey or lighter blue may work better

thanks! yea, i noticed there are certain apps that still retain the stock 'cyan blue' or in your case orange colour and i'll try my best to mend these flaws soon
