I keep setting google now reminders, which it accepts, but I never get notified of the reminders. If I go into the reminders tab in google now, I can see them listed but they go straight to passed reminders without a notification or still show as "upcoming" even though the time has passed.
Anyone know a fix for this problem or what could be causing this? Im running stock 5.0.1 unrooted and locked.

I found a fix btw to anyone else that is having this problem. I had google now cards turned off somehow by default.
Thanks for the tip! I had my first one set for the other morning and it didn't go off. Thanks

Any one else have the problem of not getting notifications until you unlock the phone? I notice it also with facebook messenger, facebook, and not getting email either. Is this just me or someone else having this problem?

Mine does/did the same thing. Never figured out what it was. Now it is up for sell and I am using my newer HTC One. I think it might be the power saver but never got around to testing it. In PS mode it is supposed to turn data off when the phone is sleeping.

messing around with the settings and found it has something to do with the lock screen security. When its set to "none" the notifications works fine. I have tried a couple of the apps for screen locks and are not satisfied with them as far as thier looks. I am really hoping when ATT finally released the kit kat update it will fix this problem. I just sold my LG G2 to get this phone. Kinda disappointed now that ATT released its update today.
I used to have the HTC one but didnt like not having the sd card. I found I like the bigger screens.
Did you finally figure out the solution? I am completely stock, not rooted and have the same issue since last 6 months. I never had any lock screen, so thats not the issue, I always have my phone unlocked.
The problem is not app specific. The delay in notification happens all across the board. When my phone is sleeping, i dont get any notification. As soon as I wake it up, all notification come at the same time, including Yahoo mail, Gmail, hangout messages, whatsapp, Google voice, twitter and others.
It seems like the wifi/data is disabled when phone is sleeping. I double checked in the Advanced Wifi option that wifi is always on. Some people said that the push notification heartbeat might be the issue but why only few of us are seeing this issue and not everyone?
Anyone have any solution?
I have always had my Note 3 on PIN, and I always wake up to at least 2 or 3 emails (sometimes many more), and at least 2 or 3 days I wake up to a new text (I don't text people normally, but Amazon texts me to let me know an order has shipped, etc.)
So it's not the email or text app and it's not the lock screen "as a rule on all devices". It could be a few different things, like allowing wifi to be turned off when the screen is off (that saves so little battery it doesn't make any practical difference - turn it off and keep wifi on all the time). I don't normally run with 3G/4G on, but that shouldn't turn off during sleep, so it wouldn't cause the problem.
I want to block a contact that I have in my People in order not to receive calls from them. But after a while I see that they're not blocked anymore.
I've tried Do Not Disturb too. But the exception list settings (white list) roll back too! It gets cleared after a while. I'm so confused about this HTC bug. I guess it might be something about syncing but I can't say for sure...
Anyone knows a solution to this?
Thank you so much !

Hi,
I too, am having this issue. I noticed recently that my DND list kicks my gf off the list, and that is the one person I need to be whitelisted the most! Very frustrating after missing a call due to her being kicked off DND.
I think the issue has to do with HTC Backup. Do you have your phone set to backup everyday to HTC cloud? I had that turned on, but I noticed recently it was having trouble backing up my information as it keeps saying "HTC backup services cannot be reached at this time".
I think that is what's causing the issue. I have turned off automatic back up for now and will monitor if the DND list changes.
Google restores contact settings/blocked contacts etc, after initial syncing of [email protected] setup see if issue still there
yes Auto-Backup & Auto-Sync were on. now I have turned both off to see how it goes after a day...
I've tried turning Auto-Sync & Auto-Backup off, but it was useless. still blocked contact settings change automatically!

Hi,
I've turned them off and I don't have that issue anymore. Might be coincidence but I will keep monitoring.
Am I the only one whose Hangouts keeps resetting the flag "Ring Hangouts for incoming phone calls"?
I normally trying to receive my Google voice calls in hangouts to save my 100 minutes. But it gets reset every once in a while.
Typically after reboot, but not 100% sure.
I have SMS integration disabled and ROM is full stock, not rooted.
Anyone seen it and has any idea of how to fix?

Any chance you guys found and answers/solutions on this issue? I've been having this issue for a while, finally getting around to researching it and I haven't found much of anything yet.
had this issue and found old hangouts on google and it works fine. will wait till new update hits with possible fix i hope.
Hi guys,
I recently changed from a nexus 5 and the phone is super nice. Of course, hardware > software.
In any case, I noticed a starting a few days back that I do not get gmail push notifications as they come.
Meaning, I have to pull to refresh. This also means that I do not get new gmail notifications.
I did some fiddling around with the settings and it wasn't set to notify me for all new mail but even with this on, I don't get timely notifications.
I did further research and noticed that I get my notifications on wifi but not on regular data.
-edit-
I tried it again and now both wifi and data are not reliable. I'm on a hotel wifi connection so I expected this but I wasn't expecting this from the data.
Has anyone heard of the S6edge having possible radio/modem issues? If so, I'm going to go exchange this device for another s6e.
I'm really hoping that it doesn't come to that and that it's a software issue more than hardware.
The thing is, I don't know if anyone knows but the same thing above happens to me with an application called kakao talk (a korean version of whatsapp)
I don't get push notifications and when I open the app I get bombarded with messages.
After opening the app and then closing it, I get updates like normal.
I can't figure this out. Do any one of you have any suggestions?
I don't get notifications for gmail or inbox either, everything is turned on. It was bothering me before but I got used to it . I use kakao religiously but with notifications off..I'll tick then on and see

I couldn't wait and I just factory reset my phone.
Gmail notifications come as they should without me having to manually refresh the feed.
Yesterday morning I was on wifi and kakao notifications came in time as well, but I forgot to try this on the network and slept after turning it off last night.
This morning I woke up a little earlier than my alarm and noticed no notifications thinking I didn't get any.
However as soon as my alarm rang and I turned it off, notifications started coming.
Am I going insane? The device seems to go into some network sleep mode and will only start connecting once it's literally awaken.
I'm trying to rule out app bug, software bug, but most importantly, if this is a hardware bug.
If this is a hardware issue, I only have about a week to exchange it.

Disable and uninstall (updates) google play services. Later on you can re-update google play services. I know this is same as doing a factory reset but it is worth a try. I did the same to fix mine.

You are not losing your mind, this is a software bug and others have this issue as well especially with google related products.
I just flashed the stock image upgrading my Nexus to 6.0 MRA58K and for the most part love it but I have one issue that is driving me nuts and google isn't helping me.
I use GoSMS as my texting app. If the phone is awake, I get the pop up and ringtone notification when I get a text, but when the phone is asleep and I receive a text, the screen will wake up briefly showing the message but not ringtone. I have gone in to apps and set GoSMS as priority and gone through all sorts of settings to try and get it figured out with no success. Meanwhile if I get an email or even a tapatalk notification when the phone is sleeping, I will get the screen waking up and the notification ringtone just fine. I have a custom ringtone for GOSMS only so don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Anybody else run into this or know what could fix the issue?
