Install european RUU on M7 tmob

Hey friends
I need you help. I have a HTC one Tmob USA. I live in germany and want to know if it is possible to install an european RUU (401) on a t-mob HTC.
Will it change the LTE bands to the european one?
Thanks for your answers.

That depends. If u are S-ON, there is no way u can install a different RUU. If u are S-OFF, it is possible. Keep in mind that u might not have local warranty, depeding on HTC's policies in Germany.
Not too sure abt changing LTE bands though. I think its possible. Not 100%

You need to have a M7_U or M7_UL model to use .401 ruu
plus your need s-off to change MID from PN0713000 to PN0710000
and change yout t-mob CID to an EMEA cid (europe/midle est/africa)
and downgrade your hboot version if higher than 1.44

First take a look at this thread. Htc one variants explained there.
Difference between htc one at&t (801n) and 801e is the modem chip. 801n support gsm/hspa/lte and 801e doen't support lte (only gsm/hspa)
Yes you can flash a stock rom for 801e on your at&t 801n but you will probably lose lte support. You aslo need s-off to change MID and CID

thank you for the reply . my main motive is getting updates ota .
And is 801n only for at&t ?! I mean what I am gonna buy is 801n at&t but unlocked with codes given by at&t , so i want to know still I will get the update when at&t will give as still the imei belonged to at&T ?!?! Or i will get the update normally like others and faster than at&t htc one's .

801n is not only for at&t, its a model code, not a CID
801n models are sold in the usa, canada, europe, midle est and africa for many carriers; At&t, Rogers, T-Mobile, Vergin, Telus, Bell, Google Play Edition, Developer Edition. Its the most common model of htc one.

When he says it unlocked with code given by AT&T he means its SIM unlocked which will allow you to use it with all carriers, not only At&t. The best way to check if this is true, is to test it with another sim card before you buy.

The IMEI# doesn't belong to at&t and isn't carrier specific. IMEI is for International Mobile Equipment Identity. Its a unique # generated by the phone manufacturer. If the phone is reported stolen, or it have unpaid bills, chance is that its IMEI# is black listed and you won't be able to connect to any carrier. So be sure it have a CLEAN IMEI before buying.

If the device still running the at&t software version with at&t CID, then you'll receive ota update from at&t. If you convert your phone to international wwe, or developer edition software then you'll receive ota faster. Converting your phone need s-off, cid change, sometimes hboot downgrade and mid change.

Nope, you can't get LTE on your 801e, we've got a different radio (MDM8215) vs MDM9215 on the LTE variant..

Thank you for the explanation,
I do have the 801n model (PN07100) but 3g band (850) is not working.
I think there is also some kind of software limit.
Any idea?

We were discussing about the hardware limitation of the 801e equipped with a qualcomm MDM8215 non-lte modem vs the 801n qualcomm MDM9215 lte modem. Your issue is probably caused because of a bad configuration not a ''software limitation''.

also make sure your apn settings are correctly set for your carrier
Thanks for your answers.
I checked every configuration twice. It's ok.
I used a PN07120 to compare. Both models have the qualcomm MDM9215 chip.
Both with same configuration. The 07120 does get 3G, the 07100 doesn't.

[Q] Converting Verizon HTC One M7 to T-Mobile (Need any help I can get)

OK so I have a HTC One M7 on Verizon, I recently Rooted, Unlocked the BootLoader, and S-Off'd the device. Now I'm wanting to transfer this phone to T-Mobile. I currently am using a MC11 Rom and feel pretty good with flashing and such. I have seen a couple different post some saying that a Verizon M7 will work on T-Mobile, others saying that the radio is different and others saying that you won't get 4G LTE. Can anyone help me out and give me some solid answers? I really don't wanna brick my phone and I definitely want 4G LTE. I'm sort of confused on what RUU to get and also is there a way to see the specs such as radio info and such to make sure everything is compatible? If anybody could help me out i'd really appreciate it. Lastly if I put this in the wrong section i'm sorry, this is my first post

Only phones with MID starting with PN071 (GSM M7_U or M7_UL) can be converted to other variants having MID starting with PN071 (GSM M7_U or M7_UL).
For example, you can convert a WWE GSM variant (PN0710000) to a Dev edition GSM variant (PN0712000)
You can't convert a Sprint CDMA variant (PN0720000) to a GSM variant (PN071XXXX)
Afaik, (I might be wrong, confirm if your partition table is the same)You can't (?) convert a Verizon CDMA variant (PN0731000) to a T-MOB GSM variant (PN0713000)
Afaik, MIDs not having the same 3rd digit have different partition layout and different hardware. Make sure before proceeding.
---------- Post added at 09:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:15 AM ----------
Ok, it looks like Verizon variant have the same partition layout as the GSM variant
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416038
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317621
So you should be fine changing your MID from PN0731000 to any PN071 MID and flashing a RUU.
But you will probably not have LTE because flashing RUU doesnt change frequency bands.

I was just curious about this stuff. Most of the people I asked said that the Verizon variant has a different partition layout compared to the AT&T and all the other variants. But, I was looking around the forum and one guy said this...

So does that mean I can convert my Verizon HTC One (M7) to an international M7 without any problems? I am not using a Verizon sim card so I do not need CDMA networks or whatever. If this is possible, will the process be the same as converting an unbranded One to the Developer Edition? I believe converting my Verizon One to the international one will also allow me to test out the ROMs available for it, correct me if I'm wrong.
P.S. I am S-OFF'ed with HBOOT 1.57
CID: VZW_001
MainVer: 5.28.605.2
This is an annoying question for some of you people, I know. But, Thanks!

The Verizon variant does have the same partitions layout than the UL variant, however a Verizon variant can't be converted to a UL variant.

@alray , I know u know a hell of a lot about the m7, but I gotta double check and ask just to make sure I'm reading this correctly; youre saying the Verizon variant of the M7 has the SAME partition layout as the UL M7?
I only ask because I own a Verizon M7, (love this phone) , and I've yet to try flashing S.Rom ONLY because Ive been told by many ppl in the M7 S.Rom thread that it will brick Verizon devices because of the partition layout "being different" according to them. (i know there will be data connectivity issues as it is a GSM rom and my device is a CDMA device, however that's not whAt I'm concerned about) , I just never flashed it as I was scared it would write things to the wrong partitions...

The Sprint one does have a different partition layout as opposed to the Verizon variant which is the same layout as the UL variant. Check the links in the quote at post #1. We already tried to convert in another thread, the ruu flashed fine and nothing flashed on the wrong partition but it wasn't booting correctly because of the CDMA radio
