I'm thinking of buying a tempered glass screen protector for my HTC One M8.
SO... I came around this ; http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZeroLemon-Real-Premium-Tempered-Glass-Screen-Protector-for-HTC-M8-One-/291199096503?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Screen_Protectors&hash=item43ccd196b7
I've heard that tempered glass screen protectors may damage your screen if you have a case on.
I have this case; http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-Pudding-TPU-Case-Black-P96916.htm
With the screen protector and case provided, are they compatible with each other.

I doubt that to be true, I have the spigen slim armour case with a tempered glass screen protector. It saved me a lot of money. I dropped my phone on my coffee table right on the screen and only the screen protector was damaged. Totally worth the £10 I spent.

K. thx 4 helpin.
Any other replies?
Should I go with a generic unbranded tempered glass costing like 4.00 or should I get an ZeroLemon, or ZAGG costing 15.00
I use Nillkin brand Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Why?
1. It's cheap
2. 9H Rating
3. Rounded edge
4. Comes with clear protector for the camera lens
5. Really good quality glass.
6. It's cheap for all that the package offer.
I also use the Nillkin glass. Literally saved my phone yesterday - was shaking out my blanket and covers on the porch and forgot my phone was on my bed before (#idiot). I launched the phone 3m into the air and straight onto a cobblestone pavement. It has some pretty gruesome scratches on 3 edges :crying: but the screen is spotless
http://i.imgur.com/bG0GekA.jpg
Seriously don't cheap out on the protection!
I always use the cheapest one you can buy on ebay. In my opinion, they are exactly the same and cost just a fraction of the price. The rest is marketing. Bought lots of them already, for me, family and friend´s phones. 3 ou 5 euros is enough.

This is driving me mad. I ordered some 'military grade' screen protector off ebay. Which you apply using liquid fairy water. And to be honest it is a really good protector apart from leaving indentations when you use the s-pen but thats only noticeable in the right light. This covers the whole face. To the edges.
The problem now is ive ordered 2 cases already which are just a **** build. Some tpu silicone one and a leather flip off ebay. Both dont fit the phone properly. Cant even charge with it on and plus it starts to lift the screen cpver off!
Now i have to order a new screen protector cause its damaged the edges. My question is what case can i get that fits perfectly and is actually a case that cpvers the edges...
Please help its driving me insane searching for cases all day...

Is complete garbage with the note 2. The problem with most of these wet applications is they cut the protector to go out to the curved portion of the note 2 glass. Zagg HD didn't change their cut, it was an attempt to get a less orange peel'ish type of protector. Looks great, then the S-Pen indents the protector itself, and the edges end up peeling from cases and pockets.
Dry application protectors that are as hard as you can find (3-4H rating) have been proven to be the best overall protector for the Note 2.
I have personally wasted money on the following:
Zagg (peeled on the corners) exchanged this at best buy for ...
Zagg HD (peeled on the corners and S-Pen indented protector) took it off and threw it in the trash once it started looking like ass
Ghost Armor (peeled on the corners and S-Pen indented protector) peeling was blamed on the phone and not the product (sorry excuse)
SGP Ultra Crystal (about 4 attempts to get one perfectly centered AND with no particles underneath, because I suck at installing these harder protectors)
I am waiting to try out a Just Like Glass protector so I can personally review it. The only thing that scares me is they sent out a batch that had "a bad cut"... again, no one seems to do it right the first time, with the exception of SGP. I found it strange they created the protector and THEN got a copy of the phone to measure, but hopefully they have fixed this issue.

Garbage with most tpu cases...they push up the screen protector, had the zagg hd and the one in the blue and yellow box tpu cases pushes up on sps that cover the whole front.
Dont get that zagg hd garbage. Xtremeguard are much better and way cheaper. I bought this cheap tpu case from ebay and its horrible. I had to cut my screen protector beacuse this thing fits so tight that it lifts my screen protector. I also had to cut the bottom of the case because the opening for the charger was too small. I went ahead and ordered the official tpu case from samsung and it looks to be a better choice.

Right thats it. I thought id use those cheap protectors that they send with the case. Ive installed quite a few overmy past phones. I made sure that tbere was no dust whatsoever by using the light and checking at the correct angle but somehow this pos protector has it as soon as i place it. Now my phone looks like **** with two dust bubbles in the middle of the screen.
I can live with the spen lines. Im going to order that wet apply protector at least that way its perfect. Going insane. Serious.

My cheap ebay case pushed up my even cheaper Xtremeguard screen protector for the first day or two after application, but now it doesn't.I just needed some time to settle in. I have used Zagg, Skinomi, and now these cheapXxtremeguards. I like these the best for a fraction of the cost. I paid five bucks for three of them on ebay.
Hi,
So I purchased a set of dry application clear screen protectors for my Nexus 7 and have it installed pretty much perfectly. However, it's not totally transparent as there are like spots that show similar to the rainbow effect on many screen protectors (shown below). NVM, can't post pictures or links with under 10 posts.
I know SPG makes good screen protectors but I don't really want to shell out $20 for 2 screen protectors.
Can you guys recommend a cheap screen protector or seller, preferably under $3 (most likely from eBay) that doesn't have this problem? It just annoys me every time I see it...

Rearth Ringbo Clear Plus.
Japanese material and S.Korean made.
It feels like glass and its like nothings there. Very fingerprint resistant as well.
13 bucks for a 2 pack.

I've always used SGP but Rearth seems just as good (if not better) and cheaper as well. SGP and Rearth protectors are regarded as one of the best.

I also got the tech armor and I gotta agree its good, I usually use Spigen products. If you lay it down just right the screen protector is almost completely invisible. It feels good to the touch but yes it does attract a bit of finger prints.

I own iCarez tempered glass screen protector. I like the feeling of glass rather than plastic. Also, plastic attracts oil and scratches easier. The glass hardness is 9 on the hardness scale so it won't scratch easily. It adds .3 mm to the thickness of the device. The iCarez one I have is anti-oil so it doesn't attract oil. Plastic screen protectors (at least the cheap ones) have a rainbow effect at certain viewing angles.
Cons of tempered glass protectors:
-adds ~.3 mm to thickness of device
-more expensive than plastic ones
Highly recommend glass protectors, just make sure to apply it correctly for they usually only come in packs of 1
Glass all the way no bubbles and u can't even tell it's on your screen plus the bonus glass break protection that it offers.
Glass, glass glass! Never again will i use a plastic protector.
The 5 dollar glass covers on ebay work fine.
I recently got the spigen glas.tr for my S5 and couldn't be happier. Installation was much easier than plastic ones, and the glass is not even noticeable. Not to mention that it has an oleophobic coating. Zagg makes glass protectors but it looks like they're back ordered.

Just put a glass zag protector on my granddaughter's Ipad air, she dropped it not even 10 minutes later, not a mark, scratch, fracture or dimple on the screen. Of course the zag did it's job and shattered like the tech that installed said it would and it's covered under warranty they are sending me a new one free of charge.
So go with glass it's worth the money

I have used both (zag invisishield, ghost armor and armour suit) and no matter what the film will yellow and start to peel over time
I prefer glass I also think it feels a lot better and not so cheap like the film's do
Glass for me....always. ..g
I prefer glass because it doesn't "drag" as much as plastic film does... the glass protects the screen while still keeping it "smooth as glass"

most of the glass shields come with a lifetime warranty, you register your purchase on line then if it breaks they send you a replacement free of charge, the rep at ATT should have provided you with the information to register it online. if not you have your reciept i think you can go online and register it that way.

Is the lip on a protective case a problem?
I had a plastic film screen protector on my s3. The lip of the rubber protective case pushed against it and caused it to peel up along the edges. Will the glass protectors do the same thing? Are any of the glass protectors slightly undersized to allow for the lip on a protective case?

The question is:
Which glass screen protector will have the greatest coverage (closest to the edges) as most, if not all, glass protectors are cut short stopping right before the curves near the edges.
This may be a problem.....having second thoughts about glass screen protectors now...
I think the iloom e might have full coverage. They bragged about being the first to do it on iPhone 6 and that also has the 2.5D glass as well.
i grabbed this one, and it shipped really fast; not sure how it will work, but its full coverage, and under 9 bucks!

I don't use screen protectors either. But ever since I saw a few people here at work with glass screen protectors on their new iphones I've been looking around and they seem pretty awesome. I've seen a few videos on youtube where they smash the screen with a hammer and only the protector broke with the screen left intact.. Also the anti-fingerprint coating is a plus. The cases I buy always have to have a lip but the screen protector is just in case.
This UAG case I have on my note 2 has saved my phone so so many times from being dropped 5ft in the air flat on its face.
The tech armor doesn't come close to covering the whole screen..piss
I have always been partial to invisisheilds. The extreme versions is what I've used on my pass galaxy devices. Then I moved to the glass version of their product on my note 3. It was perfectly clear had a life time warranty. I am looking forward to using the same for my note 4.
I bought the Envelop one. Thing isn't even big enough, just ordered a Spigen one.
I bought two Spigens based on reputation and price: $3.49 each (plus $5.00 shipping) at the early morning (ET) Amazon flash sale. If I had to pay full price, I'd also consider a non-glass solution, Rhino Shield.
Darn, I bought the tech armor glass last week. I guess it'll have to hold me over until better ones come out. I bought it direct from Techarmor.com and used promo code TechArmor2962 for 30% off. Came out to be $9. I bought the Spigen one for the iPhone 6 and it didn't cover the entire front either.
I am still debating on whether to buy screen protectors either glass or not as I haven't used screen protectors in years and everything I have/had was/is fine...
but seeing how the note 4 would be the most expensive mobile/handheld device I've bought and come to think of it probably the most expensive thing I have every bought in my life I might wanna protect it from here and back XD

Rhino Shield's website has a variety of videos persuasively showing the need for some kind of screen protection. As between their product and a good glass screen protector, there seem to be both pluses and minuses, so long as one is willing to accept the fact that, in an acute situation, the glass screen protector will be destroyed.
Any of the glass protectors available leave the space between the home button and the bottom of the phone exposed? I don't think I want a glass protector that encircles the home button because that would mean trouble for the fingerprint scanner as far as I can tell - a sticker for the home button would surely interfere with it.
Thanks!

For what it's worth, I have the Mime Ghost glass protector and it encircles the home button. It doesn't effect the finger print scanner at all. It works great.
With that being said, I can't recommend the Mime. Like other glass protectors thus far the sides are no where close to staying flush against the screen.

Hello,
So I have had been using Jettech tempered glass for my Note 5 since I got it last year and recently saw a crack on it and I was like how the heck I was like let me see if it's on the screen and
lol the whole thing cracked.
So I had a set of screen protectors at home for note 5 and I put that one. Now it's thin and doesn't even feel like there anything on the screen and the screen looks so beautiful colors and all but I'm worried-do we really need tempered glass protectors?
I've seen knife tests and all and this phone survives without any struggle so shouldn't this screen protector be enough?
What do you guys think? I do have a Spigen case on it-with in-built shock absorber and what not.
It depends on how anal you are. I assure you you will get a scratch at some point.
I got tempered glass because I didn't want a peice of plastic. Recently I watched a video about tempered glass and saw tempered glass can take a hit. If the tempered glass is hit at a specific way/angle then it shatters. But it can defiantly take a hit and prevent scratches

I understand but my question is should I get tempered glass or I'm fine with screen protector I have.
I already put one on but it's not tempered it's the regular one. Not sure how durable this is but my screen definitely looks better lol maybe because it's not that thick haha
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. If you have a decent lip on your case I don't think the glass buys you a whole lot. With a slim case without much lip, I think they have saved my phone's screens a couple of times.
I'd say go for glass. Plastic is plastic. Glass a few dollars more for a reason)
Tempered glass here
Sent from my SM-N920T using XDA-Developers mobile app
I got the zagg plastic xtreme I think...comes with front and back protect.
It is nice on the back too...no more fingerprints.
I don't have any scratches yet. I can sort of rub light scratches right out...kind of cool.
Tempered glass will give you the height protection against scratches and impact, better clarity, last longer, better feel in hand sometimes better feel then the glass phone itself, less fingerprints. Tg is also better then a "shatter film" because it has better ratio between scratches and impact resistance.
There is no debate here...
I have tempered glass just because its clearer than plastic and is easier to clean. Its not super thick so i dont really mind also for the extra protection on such a exspensive phone.
Sent from my SM-N920W8 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Tempered glass is the best way to go. It provides better protection, is very hard to scratch, doesnt impact optics, and is easier to apply. No brainer.
I'd stick with what we all know, tempered glass. Just purchased the Note 5 from a private party seller and luckily it didn't have many scratches from the previous owner NOT having a screen protector on.
Purchased the glass and am loving it.
They're cheap AF on amazon and as good of quality as the $50 ones in stores.
Well I dropped my phone from pocket height yesterday, it fell face down, and sure enough I seen a crack across the screen. I am using the caselogy that covers the edges, so when I peeled back the tempered glass...it was just the temperd glass cracked. Ordered a new 1 on eBay for 5 dollars, this glass lasted 4 months
Ok guys- even though when I bought the phone new I had tempered glass on it and I was just lazy to order another one since I already had regular screen protector with me.
I'll order one - It's by company JTtech - 9.99 on Amazon prime.
I just got lazy and to be honest- the tests on youtube shows that the bare screen of the phone is very resilient so I shrugged it off.
I'll order it today. I also have Spigen case on with raised edges.
I've got about 6 different tempered glass screen protectors because I can't stand the feel of the plastic screen protectors...
Mind you the screen on my note 5 is a freaking joke. I went about a month without a screen protector and my screen is scratched to all hell. And that's just from pocket use... So in the end it doesn't matter which one you go with, just use a screen protector.
It's not entirely how anal you are. I haven't used them in years and never had a problem because I would always keep my phone in a pocket which I was sure was empty. However I tried an oleo phobic tempered glass screen protector from Benks. It is hard to get it on perfectly, but it is great in that the screen is much more slippery for the swipe keyboard usage and also it never shows fingerprints on the screen any more. (Also this is not as important but I like it that it removes/hides/covers up the obnoxious 'Samsung' logo.) If you but them, buy more than one because if you mess up putting it on then you have a spare (which you would eventually use anyway). I recently dropped my phone for the first time and freaked out - but my case and the Benks tempered glass protector together completely protected the phone - with a big crack across the screen - which disappeared when I peeled off the protector!

Tempered glass screen protectors are the way to go. The only way tempered glass can crack or break is if the edge or corner is hit (I should know, i work with tempered glass everyday) and since these protectors are so thin, there is only a fine edge on it, nearly impossible to hit with something, even though i had something hit that fine edge at work. i get all my tempered glass protectors off Amazon, $4 - $7, as compared to $35 for a Zagg temp glass protector in stores, or even $25 for a plastic protector.
Tempered glass is best
But does anyone have the halo? I put mine on perfectly centered and I've got a hell of a halo. I was wondering if there's no halo with a plastic screen protector. That would be one reason to vote for plastic.
