[Q] emm.. can i know different between unlock and relock bootloader

As mentioned above, i want to know the difference between unlocking bootloader and relocking bootloader..., for your information im try to flash custom kernel... ,do i need unlock bootloader and relocking it before flash custom kernel or i just have unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel... thanks for your help..

You unlock your bootloader, and then you flash the custom kernel you want.
No need for relocking.Even if you wanted to flash stock kernel, there's no such need.

Long time ago i saw a thread that a user was telling that he wasn't able to unlock the bootloader when he has using certain ftf files. It is pretty strange actually.
Try to downgrade your phone, maybe installing kk and try again mate.

Maybe this will help if you already don't know it. Take a look here. Way old that thread but maybe still guilty.

What do you mean with fresh kernel? You mean stock kernel, aren't you?

Get unlock code on already unlocked (and rooted) device

Hi,
I have a VIE-AL10, firmware B183. I am trying to update to B195 but I believe I cannot do it because I unlocked the phone.
I don't need the unlocked bootloader anymore (for now) and my idea was to relock it and unlock it again in the future but unfortunely I have lost the code I got using DCUnlocker.
There is a way to recover the code in this unlocked and rooted phone?

U can update with unlocked bootloader but not if u have TWRP and root. If u have it i need to unroot and install stock recovery.

Thank you, I imagined that. Any way to recover the unlock code so that I can redo the unlock procedure after I upgraded the phone?

EVA-L19C185 to EVA-L19C432

I think in change my P9 EVA-L19C185B385 to EVA-L19C432B386. This is possible? If is, how?
My P9 isn't rooted and have bootloader locked. And I don't want to make root or unlock my bootloader....
If this is possible, may I use dload method?
I've download both B386 files, update.zip and update_data_full_EVA-L19_hw_eu.zip, from FF.

I using this guide when I first try to debrand my phone

now, i prefer to install oeminfo through twrp. if you can manage to unlock bootloader and flash twrp, you can do debrand easily. you just need to find right oeminfo (for example l19c432/l19c185).
