I didn't see a way to add a custom vibration for a contact but thought I'd ask anyway.. Normally you would edit a contact and Add a Field where you could set a custom vibration pattern.
Is this not available in Lollipop on the Nexus?
Bumping to the top to see if I am missing the option..

as the title ..... When I go to select the type of notice, any message to the screen, vibration and so I can't check the "repeat" (which I find very useful). Any suggestion ? thanx for attention
anyone know how to disable this annoying feature, I keep hitting that button in error - why is it not a slider like the rest of the lockscreen call handle function, extremely extremely annoying
They go to all the trouble to protect from accidently answering or rejecting a call with a slide button then they put this button right were you would hold the screen and it is just a touch to activate, They should have at least made it a slide upwards or something.
I wonder how much carriers make from this ?
call is rejected from caller (minimum charge applied)
sms sent to caller (sms charge)
caller redials (another minimum charge applied)
what a circus
Sony please fix this
You are not charged if you reject call.
Only if you are in hell of a country then maybe.

well regardless it is still a serious issue with no apparent solution
is the message not an sms ?
apps or alternative lockscreen is not the solution either as it bypasses my lockscreen security which is set to disable turning the phone off

I can only think of three options right now:
1. Don't touch the phone while it's ringing, perhaps hit the volume button to stop tone - this can be annoying.
2. Decompile relevant files and manually remove code for it (this is xda DEVELOPERS and everyone can do this right?)
3. Wait for other people who have better solutions
Please post your questions in the Q&A section.
Thanks

So I got my phone yesterday, I noticed the ringtones increase in volume and there is no way to change it and I also don't have the option to hide sensitive data on the lock screen for emails and text messages. I checked for an update on my phone but it says it's up to date. I looked up tips and tricks for lollipop and some of the stuff that's mentioned in the posts, I don't have the options to use them, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah there is no way to change the ascending ringtone..i dont like it.
you can turn off the messages on the lockscreen by going to
settings/sound & notifications/When device is locked
Please search next time there are ~5 different OPs discussing this.

I want the notifications on the lock screen but I want to hide the actual text from the message, so if someone looks at my screen it shows a message from so and so but the actual message portion is hidden.
I am not talking about the vibration pattern when someone calls me but when I receive a message in the phone/Whatsapp etc.
I want to change it but I cannot find the option.
I know you can assign specific/different notification sounds to each app by going through notification categories. However, I recently messed around with creating a custom vibration Pattern and noticed now EVERY app and notification of every kind uses (when on vibrate/sound off) this same pattern, every time.
As this is possible for sound, is there not a way to assign specific vibration patterns to each app/notification categories within an app, etc.
Feel as if this has been brought up before, but could not for the life of me find any mention of this specific issue in the thread.
