I have installed the new Factory Recovery and try'd to install the new Asus ROM that I downloaded From Asus Site directly.
But when the tablem starts to install the ROM, it stops past 1 minute with one error message and then whem I force reboot the tablet,
It boots normaly but when it finishes booting a get a message saying error 12 and the update was not installed.
I try's more then 5 times install the firmware this way.
How can I get back to factory FW?

On the Droid basement site is also the latest version of CWM recovery with directions on installing it as well if you dont have it installed. You will need cwm recovery to install the latest fw update you download from this link. Hope it fiXes your problem. Go to droidbasement dot com look for Android 4.4.2 – OTA (11.4.1.29) – TF701T (Macallan)

sbdags just released the stock modded .29. Just flash the bootloader/CWM from the OP, then the rom and you're better than on pure stock firmware

Naturally you have to flash CWM back first

[Q] Installing AOSP Beta 8 and 9 for P7300

Hi,
I have tried to install both AOSP Beta 8 and 9 for P7300. I get the error the same error message both times, status 7 which is guess is due to that I'm using the wrong CMW file (version 5.5....). Reading the forums it seems like cmw 6.0.1.0 works pretty well. Is there a repository where I can download these CMW files? I have search but not really found any good place. What combination of AOSP version and CMW is best? Do I need to change the kernal also?
Any help is welcome!
Kind regards,
Mikael Hagström
I recomand you to install the cwm 6.0.0.8, i think it's the best and this should fix your problem.

Don't think recovery version is to blame.
Do you have the 7300 or 7310 galaxy tab?
What was the last Rom / recovery that you flashed with Odin?
IIRC status 7 is an assert failure, so you could also turn off assert verification in the recovery, before flashing... Or remove offending assert from the update script in aosp ROM zip. (probably a line like test for p5 or p7300)
Or you can flash CWM 6.0.0.8 from the thread on cm9 (kallt_kaffe) , post #2. Although file is named 6008, it really is 6010... If you insist on that route

Thanks for your replies.
I have the P7300.
I'm back on the stock ROM now since I could not get the AOSP ROM to work.
I tried removing the assert lines. The tablet hang on the X (Nexus) screen when I rebooted.
I will try both again with the new Clockwork Recovery file.
Hi,
I tried again his morning. With CWM 6.0.0.8 from the thread on cm9 and the ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789464. It now installs but when I reboot is gets stuck at the black screen with the colourful Nexus X. I left it like that for 25 min but no change just the X. This is how I do it.
I start of with the stock ROM (Build number HTJ85B P7300XWKL4)
I root the device and install superuser and root check (that tells me it have been rooted)
I install CWM 6.0.0.8 from boot by running the ZIP file
I boot up into Clockwork Recovery and install the AOSP ZIP. The tablet restarts after install but gets stuck at the screen with the X.
Do I need to do a wipe?
I'm I missing some steps?

[Q] OTA Update Problem Australia

Hey people, I live in Australia and I just got the message to update my system, so I downloaded it and it just crashed and said it didn't work...
I have tried to find the OTA Update online but I can't find anything relating to 2.24.980.3 ( 418.68mb )
Currently running the Stock 4.1.2 version of Android, with Sense 5, I had tired to install 4.3 Google Play edition but then the phone would not let me access any data on it via the pc so I used my backup and recovered to the stock version.
Recovery : ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.3.2
What can I do to install the system update ?
Factory reset from the fast boot screen
Phone off press and hold the vol up and then press and release the power button
use the vol down to scroll to factory reset - power to action, after its done reboot and retry - it is quite common tbo
Make sure you save all the important stuff on the phone first of course

You need to flash the stock recovery..... OTA's can not be installed with custom recoveries.

ROM unable to install

This is my second attempt to install custom ROM and I failed... I did everything step by step and it doesn't work. Or it doesnt boot at all or it craches in recovery mode while installing update.
This time i used some nightly unofficial and it stoped installing in recovery :S This is so annoyng
I downloaded stock lastest from code support for my Samsung S5830 because obviously there is non stable version of custom ROM right now.
I do not advise to go over Android 2.3.6 for S5830 or you will burn down your phone system...

Rooted phone with SuperOneClick successfully
downloaded CWM recovery, custom ROM, google apps and newcamera.apk
puted in SD
entered recovery mode, hard reset options (wipe data + catche)
installed zip from SD (CWM recovery)
rebooted recovery
installation of custom ROM stoped with error code (7)
from there i wouldnt be able to boot system
then i used code support and downloaded firmware flash files for S5830
odin installed it but also wont boot up the phone
then i pissed off and took old polish firmware installed with odin, after that did hard reset and now phone is working on 2.3.6

Ok now you are unrooted on your new polish right. So now root it with UniversalGingerbreadroot.zip (google it.) Flash an older version of CWM(5.0) through the stock recovery. Finally install a stable custom rom initially do not go for CM roms as for testing try some other stock based rom and if successful you can advance to CWM.
All the best.

Here you'll find ROOT and CWM files to get ready your Ace, than you'll be able to install Customs STOCK Roms, CM7.x, CM9.x, CM10.x
Read carefully the threads in GT-S5830 Android Development section and follow the dev's instructions
PS: To get CM11.x you'll need to flash CWM6.x or TWRP

i cant install any rom in my note 5 n920t after install andodroid 6.0 beta.

ok guys . sorry about my english . i hope you understand me perfectly ..
i have note 5 n920t and i was in 5.1.1 stock rom then i install from odin android 6.0 beta .. (N920TUVU2DOK5-M_CL6256935.zip)
and now when i try install any rom or back to official stock rom from odin . i only get bootloader freeze.. when android start fist up and start to install update and erasing. android go back to restart.
and when i try make reset factory i cant because I get an error. about mount or something
so this is what i did . i install stock rom 5.1.1 (N920TUVS2COKC) and in odin I GO TO uncheck (auto reboot) and when the rom is intalled i turn off my note 5 pressing all fisical bottons..
and i come back to download mode
and install twrp 3.0 and without android up his first time
i go into to twrp recovery and keep all in read mode. and then i can to do reset factory .. and my android up normal.. and run fast and perfectly
but i try this with official marshmallow tmobile N920TUVU2DPD1 and my android lag to much when i open apps or other thing my android isnt good.. so i dont know if i need kernel for that or anything .
I had to return to 5.1.1 doing the same method what i said
my question is . why i have problem when android official stock is installed on my note ..
only i can install to doing what i said.. because cwm recovery dont let me to do factory reset AND BOOTLOADER NOT START IF I DONT INSTALL TWRP BEFORE AND MAKE FACTORY RESET
I WANNT ANDROID 6.0.1 RUN GOOD ON MY NOTE5 N920T .. WHAT I NEED TO DO

cant flash any stock rom of custom rom

hello, so i have a SM-N950F/DS and i had a cotum rom (Dr.Ketan ROM p11) for a year i think, so i want to update it with a new version. i try to flash a clean updated rom from Dr.Ketan but twrp failed (boot loop). then i tried to flash an android 10 rom (LineageOS 17.1) thad one work, but i lost my imei. so i decided to give up and restore my backup from my fist rom. and then the misery started. twrp failed to restore the back up. so i go to option 2 flash a clean stock rom with odin. the pc part work odin shows pass but my phone doesn't get any further than the bootlogo (the one that shows samsung note 8). and it does that with everyting now any costum stock rom and stock rom. and with a android 10 rom i get error 7 in twrp. i dont know what to do next.
i can enter download mode and recovery and flashing twrp after stock rom works too. i have treid various of stock fw from sammobile, Frija and updato
i also treid 2 difrend versions of fwrp (3.1.1-0 and 3.140-0)
edit: after looking carfuly what the phone does after flashing stock fw, I noticed that the phone say installing systeem update 32% and then starts erasing.
