Questions about XT1064 purchased in US from Amazon

As the title suggests I have the Moto G 2014 XT1064 running system version 21.11.23.titan_retuaws.retuaws.en.US retus Build number KXB21 .85-23
I'm inquiring about not seeing an OTA on my phone or anywhere on the site. Have you guys any news on this matter?

i am having the same problem ... have you solved it yet ? aparently we have the oddballs lol

Same here just got mine from bestbuy and no ota yet.. Makes me sad but loving the phone so far!

Its because the 5.0.1 and 5.0 updates were for an earlier version of kitkat. No way to manually update or no ota yet. Must wait it out because there is not a great was to downgrade firmware

The version is Consumer Cellular Version 21.11.23.titan_retuavs.retuavs.en.US reus Build: KXB21.85-23, which is a upgraded version that from what i have read in these threads is NOT getting Lollipop ?. I use the first link to flash but downloaded loaded Blur_Version.21.11.17.titan_retuaws.retuaws.en.US or Retail version someone uploaded because Moto link has not worked since 12/12/14, from the second link .

Hi I just buy a Moto G 2014 8gb dual sim 4.4.4 unlocked, with this build 21.11.23.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03reteu how i can update this to a more recent build or lolipop 5.0 ? i try from settings but it says that the is no update.
(I dont want to root/custom rom)

latest 4.4.4 I believe is 21.11.27 a.k.a KXB 21.85-27 but this will just be a bugfix rather that new features
my advice if you dont want to root / custom rom is wait..... Lollipop is very close to OTA release and rumoured to be 5.0.1 .
I tried a converted xt1064 lollipop 5.0 on my xt1068 dual sim and it was awful slow and buggy - so I flashed my xt1068 back to 4.4.4 KXB 21.85-27
unless you do a OTA update or OEM update via stock recovery you need to unlock boot loader

Unlock the boot loader then you can downgrade

from which country is this build 21.11.23.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03reteu ? i am from Argentina, but were i buy it the store tell me is from another country.
and i read in internet that are others build more updated are like this 22.21.25 or this is from other country or model ?

what model is you Dual sim Moto g 2nd gen ? xt1068 or xt1069?
Basically a quick - rough explaination
retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03reteu means Retail Dual sim (dsds) for ALL English (en) the 03 MAYBE (not sure -UK english?) retail (ret) eu bit possibly Europen union?
21.11.27.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03retgb is on my UK XT1068
21.11.xx.titan is kitkat 4.4.4
22.21.xx is Lollipop 5.0.x

Did someone with 21.11.14 got the Lollipop update?

Hi guys, i see that many people got the update but most of them are with 21.11.23... Did someone with 21.11.14 got the Lollipop update?

I also have 21.11.14 but i didn't receive the update yet.

One more 21.11.14 retde and still no update here.

Same here, German version. I'm actually considering to unlock and flash the official ROM. But I guess I'll just wait in a couple of days.

Same here. German retail, no update yet. I'm also thinking about installing a custom rom, especially now that PA is available for this phone. The RAM issues are so annoying that I don't know how much longer I'll be able to wait.

I was on 21.11.14 european retail and I already switched to 5.0.2 manually last Sunday.
Well, I have to say that the main difference is the memory managment. On Lollipop is way better, I absolutely confirm that :victory:

Yeah, I know, but if you read the quote you'll see I was focused on the memory management point.

A friend of mine with reteu version 21.11.14 got the official OTA few minutes ago

Sorry to say but the soak test, indian OTA capture , official Full firmware and currently rolling out OTA of lollipop 5.0.2 for XT1068 IS the same firmware.. LXB22.46-28 build date Jan 6th
Its just delivered by different ways and installed by different methods.
even the regional versions of XT1068 i.e retgb , retde and retbr etc will most probably have been based on this 5.0.2 RETAIL ALL firmware if they follow the same structure as 4.4.4 firmwares
HINT MOTOROLA i'm still waiting FOR UK (GB) version.
I'm currently looking at the Brazilian 5.0.2 xt1068 firmware to see what regional changes are applied compared to the RETAIL ALL 5.0.2 xt1068 firmware.

Having the 21.11.27 european retail really sucks ^^

OTA 5.0.2 when?

I keep reading that Motorola has sent out the OTA 5.0.2 update for the pure edition. I have yet to receive anything. Am I missing something here or is it actually not out yet....

Where are you reading this?

Its released for china only... I hope Motorola skip 5.0.2 and release us 5.1 soon

I have moto x xt1050 4.4.2 kitkat bluegrass.
I didn´t recieve the OTA lollipop update, also I tried via Motorola Device Manager.
Somebody can help with a solution to upgade my andoroid version?

I don't believe Moto has announced any kind of test, soak or release of Lollipop for that model yet.

Nope no release date yet but I have flashed the Verizon firmware on mine and took one ota. Nothing bad has happened yet, lol. So far that I know of at&t has got it and Verizon is up next. If u have the XT1050 model, u can unlock the bootloader, flash recovery...and so on. I can't wait to see stock lollipop. U can always flash cm12.1. It's awesome but still has bugs.

Well it seems no update for us. All others got tho. So unfair. I'm running cm12.1 its awesome.

Hey well the only news I have is that republic wireless is sending out L update for their 1st gen Moto X soon. Maybe ours is next? I hope so ��
