Sorry dude but the only way is to root your phone and delete all the samsung and google bloatware that run in the background and eat your ram and the battery.
Yes I agree only way you can save battery now is Greenify that can hibernate unnecessary programs

The phone is ROOTED!!!
Can you recommend uninstalling programs for samsung and google apps....
For now I use Clean Master and Battery Doctor.
But there is a good difference....

Clean master and battery doctor themselves are battery draining so I recommend you to install a custom rom

Choose / uninstall what you don't want from these Google apps (maybe you don't have all of them) : Chrome Browser, Gmail,Google+, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Earth, Google Keep, Google News & Weather, Google Play Books, Google Play Games, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Music, Google Play Newsstand, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Hangouts, Maps, Street View on Google Maps, TalkBack.
Also do the same with the Samsung apps like : Game Hub, Video Hub, ChatON, Samsung Hub, S Planner,S Suggest and S Voice.
And consider what @Mike20017 recommends.
Spin the Battery

Take out your battery and try to spin it on a flat surface. (try it on both sides). If it spins easily than you should buy a new battery because your old one lost it's capacity. If the battery is okay than it's probably some kind of software issue. Good Luck :good:

Hallo people.
Im trying to figure out a problem with ''Back up and reset'' in phone settings with my google account.
What's my problem that i need your help?
I like to install and try all the great rom here and always im making full wipe before flashing. And i love the feature on ics that i can restore my google account when i set up my phone for first time after installation. My phone settings, my wifi settings, my contacts and my apps from Google Play are auto back to my phone in 5 minutes (i m using Titanium Backup only for a few apps).
BUT, unfortunately on SOME custom ROM, after first set up, my Google account auto restore only my cocntacts and nothing more!I must install my apps and all my phone settings manually, so im spending lot of my time!
Plus, in phone settings-Backup and Reset, the ''Backup account'' is empty and i cant change it!

Take my word. Dun trust that function. Just do your normal contact sync with google server, your sms with GoSMS and applications with Titanium Backup.
That is how I backup and restored my phone between flashes without any surprises.
One thing to note is that you wouldn't be able to backup and restore system apps. Only user apps like your Whatsapp, 3D cameras, Games, etc..

I follow these many years in my android life.Once, a year before, i had big problem with my google account.I couldnt buy anything cause i had all my apps in titanium backup (yes, chracked).
So i decide to make another account, to buy any app i wanted and to keep in titanium only few.
The problem for me is not how to reset more quick.
I just wonder what cause the reset problem in some custom rom and in others i can reset my account without problem.
Thanks...
Same problem una N7000 with CM 10.2

Well hello there, to anyone who's reading this.
Warning: This is not completely connected to Xperia Z, and neither is this just a troubleshooting thread, but it definitely contains some of both. Do not mistake this thread for hate-talk, fanboy-flame, or any other nonconstructive negative talk. This thread could fit in more than a few sections, but I decided to start it here, as it does concern Xperia Z. If mods decide it's not fit to be in Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section - so be it. We'll sort it out, somehow.
Now, let's get to the point.
Google. A company that cares about its users' (privacy) - not. Up until now, I haven't had any major complaint about Google and their evil doings business strategy, as it hadn't been affecting me - well, at least not directly. But, I've finally come across something that-is-oh-so-Facebook-like that I can't understand why it's not there. A basic function that is missing from the big, complex picture (such as nonexistent native Android support for deleting all phone contacts with a single click). The basic function I'm talking about here is the ability to completely remove/detach device from a Google account. I had (still have, but will be passing it to a family member) an Xperia Arc that I connected to my Google account, but now I have Z, so I no longer need/want to have my old LT15i listed under the devices I own. I know there is a function to hide phones that are no longer in use from appearing in Play Store, but that's not what I (and an army of other angry Google users) want.
Okay, this is not the biggest problem the world has clashed with. I could live with just hiding phones I don't use anymore. But another problem emerged. This is where I could use some help of the awesome xda expert community here. My Z is attached to my G account, obviously. Well, at least it was. Ever since I updated phone to FW .67, Google doesn't list my phone in Play Store. But it's there under Dashboard section. In fact, there are two C6603s listed there - my Z before("last seen on Sep 25th") and after("last seen on Oct 13th" [today]) .67 update. The problem is, Play Store sees only the version before the update, and deliberately refuses to refresh the list to correspond to the current situation.
And how does that reflect in the reality?
If I click on "Install" and choose C6603 as the target device, the app never reaches the phone, of course.
I'm guessing the problem here is that the Google (for some reason) have different IMEIs listed for the two entries of my Xperia Z.
--> What I'm asking here is if anyone knows how to force Play Store to list my phone as it is now, at this moment, to reflect what's on Dashboard, so I can install apps using Play Store site.
Also, if you could please refrain from posts such as "don't use play store", and "just download apps through phone app".
Click for screenshots.

Aside from the above, there is one more problem I'm facing concerning Play Store app, which is far more frustrating and annoying.
I used to have two accounts linked to Z. I decided to completely get rid of the first one and only use the second one. But now the apps that I have downloaded with the first account refuse to appear under My Apps list, so I have to use 3rd party apps (AppBrain, in my case) to be notified of updates of unlisted apps. Even after a factory reset and TiBu restore, Play Store app refuses to show all my installed apps on the corresponding list (this method worked before with my Xperia Arc).
Does anyone know how to permanently attach the missing apps to the Play Store app?
Thanks in advance to anyone who didn't find this tl;dr and decide to help!
Try using market doctor from TiBu for restoring links to your account
Paid apps will never change to your other account though. You should really contact Google customer service for that.

Hi,
I had this option on my phone prior to upgrade to Marshallow:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/3067...alls-from-specific-contacts-to-voicemail.html
Is there a trick to getting it back?
It's there in all my Google Contacts choices. Choose the 3 dot menu, just like before.

You are using Google contacts, right? Not that it should make a difference, but what version Google Contacts apk are you running?
When you go into your app drawer look for "Contacts". NOT a shortcut on your desktop just named Contacts, and NOT Verizon or Motorola proprietary address book junk.
If you are not sure, go to Google Play and look for Google Contacts.

Google contacts is not compatible with your phone? Oh, come on.
So what crippled version is Verizon/Motorola foisting on you?
1.6.17 is the Google Contacts from December 2016 which people with other Android phones get to use.

Go to Settings/Apps. Scroll down, see what Contacts says. 1.6.17 is the Google Contacts from December 2016.
See the version and see if it can be uninstalled/disabled? Maybe then regular Google Contacts from the Play Store can be installed?
Just another reason I will always root and totally own my phone, not the carrier, not the manufacturer.
If Verizon won't let you have REAL Google Contacts, there's always 3rd party Contacts apps you can check out.
Allow me to clear things up:
The user is using the stock contacts app. Like most stock apps, it cannot be uninstalled. It can, however, be disabled by going into the Apps menu under Settings.
Google contacts is blocked by Verizon/Moto/Lenovo/whoever on the Play Store, but it is easily downloaded and can be installed from here: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google.../google-contacts-1-6-17-android-apk-download/. Download and install this, and use it instead of the stock app, and you will find the option that you seek.

Thank you! I was just about to suggest disabling, as not rooted he can't uninstall. I just edited my former reply to include that, and I saw your response.
Thanks very much for giving him the alternate download location for the APK Verizon won't let him have. Of course it's compatible. LIARS.
Thanks all, I appreciate the help here.

You need to go through the apps one by one on that list in your picture and disable background data because there's no need for them to do that I have all background data disabled on my phone and everything works fine.

Go through every single app.. Go in settings and then apps and tap every app and then tap Mobile data and untick background data so it doesn't allow it.
So, I was getting fairly good battery life until recently. I started to use Power Shade and I think it was soon after that that my battery started to really take a nose dive. I even paid for the upgraded part of the app. A couple of days later - and the app is no longer even offered in the Play Store. What's up with that?

Never used it myself but if it was removed from Play Store like that it sounds shady...wouldn't be surprised if it was poorly optimized, leading to excessive drain.

I would probably just uninstall that app completely and test from there (BUT keep in mind that if it's been removed from the Play Store, then you won't be able to use it again unless you have the apk to re-install it).
If the problem persists, then maybe it's not that app after all and it's something else. If you can't identify the specific problem or app, then you can always do a factory reset as a last resort. I don't think your phone is damaged, just a rogue apps or permissions.
Well, it's now back again.
I turned it on and let my phone sit, unused, for one hour. My battery dropped 5%.
I turned it off and let my phone sit, unused, for one hour. My battery dropped 2%.
So, is it safe to say this is the culprit?
I have AccuBattery - would that tell me something or BetterBatteryStats would tell me better?

An hour isn't really much time, so hard to say for sure. Try it for a day at least and see if the problem is really solved. Sounds like that app was likely causing drain though. Accubattery is fine, there's also GSAM, etc.

Disable automatic Google Backups (Google Drive, Photos, etc.), go to settings and disable backup data in your google account. Also make sure that media auto-download is not enabled in social media apps like WhatsApp and Telegram.
I installed this notif shade app, beside the fact that I really did not like it, I also noticed a high batt drain, and that it constantly tried to access internet , seeing this, I just uninstalled it
How can I install the play store on the Chinese rom? I've tried downloading it from APK mirror and it says "Couldn't sign in There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later." I've tried clearing the cache and no help.
Solved! "Google basic services" has to be enabled. It's found in the drop down menu within apps management in settings.
Just install it from the ZUI Store app on the tablet. You might need to use a phone camera to help translate..

I just flashed the stock chinese rom from the global rom. I actually figured it out. There's a setting in the app management tab in the settings where you have to enable google services. I had installed play services, google play store, chrome, etc... Factory reset a few times too. But I was poking around the app management and was looking at system apps to see if something was disabled that I needed and saw "google basic services" as an option and I was able to turn that on, and everything works now. So I hope if anyone else has that issue they come across this thread.
