Hi, is there any way to control what notifications appear on the lock screen? It's now either show or don't show at all (without a password).
Basically what I'd like is for notifications icons to still show on the lock screen status bar, but not show the notifications on the lock screen itself. I used to be able to do this on Kitkat.
On that note, any way to add lockscreen widgets?
Thanks.
Anyone?
Do you want to hide the notification information? You can check the option for "hide sensitive notification content" and it will just show the application name. I don't know how the phone decides what is sensitive, but you can also block notification content on a per-app basis. The results would look like the image below. The lockscreen statusbar is not meant to hold notifications. You can change the lockscreen to something else, but widgets seem to have vanished.

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to hide the status bar in my homescreens but have it reappear just when I receive a notification (so I can see the preview on the status bar).
Also, is there a way to hide my status bar in my homescreens but have it reappear by tapping the area where it would normally be?
I have looked for a way to do this but I have only found methods of completely hiding the status bar without being able to see it when necessary...
Thanks.
Has anyone found a way to do this?
I don't know if this is what you mean, but I use ADW (the paid one) and I have my status bar hidden and the home button pulls the notifications down when I want to see/check. If I get a notification, it doesn't stay down, but it is simple to hit the home button, check notifications and then slide it back up.
I was actually looking for something that would either:
1) show me the notification alert at the top of the screen even when I have hidden the status bar OR
2) allow me to see the status bar whenever I want (possibly a button press/gesture/etc.)
Thanks for the suggestion though.
Adw launcher or go-laucnher can do that.
hide the notification bar, use gesture to hide/unhide it
Yea ADW- Launcher does this. You can hide the notification bar permanently but then set a gesture to swipe down/up and you get it to pop up like it was always there. Do the same swipe and it goes away.
OK, thats good to know.
Thanks for the help.
Just like the topic says..
I want to retain notifications in the status bar.
I want to be able to pull down my notification shade on the lock screen to see my text message notification so that I can open, reply or ignore it.
Has anyone been able to make this possible?
Hi,
I have a new Mate S phone. My notification panel is not working on the lock screen. I cannot pull down the notification panel when my phone is locked, and I do not get notifications on my lock screen, just in the status bar. I have enabled all notifications for the applications and protected apps are allowed. What could be the problem?
Kindly,
Linda
look inside security settings if there are notifications and actions allowed on lockscreen..
maybe this helps

You cannot pull down the notifikation panel from the lock screen (as with allot of other Android phones).
To see lock screen notifications, you need to use the "Magazine" lock screen. You can set that in the "Themes" app.
It is only possible if you don't have a lockscreen (i.e. other than slide to unlock).
In other words, if you use a pin, password or fingerprint to unlock your phone, sadly, EMUI does not not allow app drawer access and notifications overview on lock screen.

In my experience this isn't true - I'm using the magazine lockscreen, my device is is fingerprint locked and I see the notifications. I just can't pull down the notification bar.
So far my only pain point with this phone is that specific notifications don't show on the lock screen.
So far I can say Spotify and slack for sure
Is there a setting for this somewhere that I'm missing?
Running the ww rom on tencent phone
Edit: I figured out how to manually enable the lock screen notifications
Does it allow u to see what the notifications is? Are just the icon of it?
Do you see all the notifications on the lock screen?. Because i can only see the notifications of social apps(wechat,whatsapp,facebook..). other apps notifications i can only see them from the notification shade and not the lock screen( I mean no notification message or icon shown on the lock screen).

You have to enable it on a per-app basis by going to the notification settings for each app you want.
Not uncommon for Chinese phones

Yeah I have done that, actually you have to do it on the notification settings in the settings page, at the same time inside each app notification settings section.
I love the "Now Playing" feature and the little text at the bottom of the lockscreen.
But if i turn on the actual notifications to show the song in the notification center it also shows the notification on the lockscreen.
Thats somehow redundant because the lock screen already shows the artist and name on the bottom.
So is it somehow possible to deactive the now playing notification from the lockscreen but still show up in the notification center when i have my phone unlocked for example?
So after testing many settings I found a solution:
One can activate "Hide silent conversations and notifications" on the lock screen.
Found in Settings -> Notifications -> Notifications on Lock screen (Under Privacy).
I translated the settings from german, so it may vary on other languages.
The problem with this is, that it deactivates ALL silent notifications on the lockscreen, but I don't care about that.
