I get "batteryinfo service could not be contacted" toast message whenever I try to check kernel wake lock or partial wake locks etc.
I've installed it as a system app and rebooted like it had told me to.
I'm running the stock ROM.

Is it installed as a system app? That may be the culprit. Uninstall, revoke BBS SU privileges, reboot phone and re-install as a system app.

Thanks to mrozzeh, we have a new leak. However, we also have a fingerprint issue again.
You can install this via clockwork; it is just a fingerprint change to the build.prop so all of your paid apps will be seen.
Once installed, dial this:
*#*#2432546#*#*
This will checkin and update your fingerprint with the market.
Now this is what I've been waiting for.
Thanks!
what is actually broken with the Market in this build? I am running it and have used the previous market fix, and have not had an fc or any issue downloading my apps?

Just wondering, how come the market fix for the initial leaked OTA did not require the dialing of *#*#2432546#*#*?

it's not "required" it just manually makes your phone do the checkin process instead using an app download to do it.

As it should. The only issue, is that your software and build numbers will not reflect properly when you look at 'about phone' 'software' etc...
Other than that, you should have no issues.

Interesting that someone had run the checkin and it worked without issue. Was that with the stock leak?
I wonder if the leak's fingerprint is in Google's system. Which is a very, very good thing if thats the case

No.
Your issue has nada to do with what this addresses.
You can try
pm setInstallLocation 1
from adb.
Blinky, Guardian_Bob's BLN blinker app, has been posted in the Captivate forum. Version 2.1.2 works on the Fascinate.
Installation:
Download blinky-lights-2.1.2.zip and flash it in CWM
Won't install. Might need some dev to work on a fasc.
The newest version of Blinky (2.1.2) works correctly on the Fascinate! (Yes, I tested it.)
Installation takes a couple of steps, since the author hasn't put 2.1.2 into a full flash package yet:
(a) Download blinky-lights-2.1.1.zip and flash it in CWM
(b) With Root Explorer, adb, or the terminal, go to /data/app and delete the unrecognized Blinky apk (com.kin.blinky-1.apk) that CWM put in there
(c) Download Blinky_v2.1.2.apk and sideload it (click to let Android install it)
Just flash blinky-lights.2.1.2.zip in CWM
Thanks for the heads up. Couldn't get the test to show the notification, but when I sent myself a text, was able to test the settings out that way.
thanks, i've been waiting for this for a while!!
i assume this will use much less battery life then just leaving the softkeys lit all the time.. is that true?
Here is a cwm flash that doesnt include the apk that doesn't work.
Oh snap. This is perfect for a sound guy. Awesome find. Works great.
good day. From the Fascinate sporting the XDA app.
Just wanted to mention for me it didn't work when I hit the test button in Blinky, but when I sent an email to myself it worked great! Thanks!
I had the same problem I just used bln control to test it
SCH-I500 - DJ05/SuperClean .7/Nemesis OTB 1200lv/Voodoo5/Darkstar
I'll beat on the notification issue with my next version, as well as try to remove the need for a flashable part.
If you have issues, suggestions, etc. Let me know.
Oh and I added a 2.1.2.zip file which should just be flashable now.
I can't seem to get it to work. I already have BLN working but when I install the blinky app it stops working all together. If I uninstall the blinky app my BLN starts working again. Weird.

Yeah, it was part of the multi-step process that's now obsolete. However, now that you have the lib files on your phone, just go to the Captivate thread and download/sideload the 2.1.2 apk. Should work.
I don't recall seeing that. I'll try again with the new zip.

if you're running Null ROM you can change the DPI for that app with an exposed framework mod.
I haven't needed to do that, but search around. There are posts here on how to do that.

I would but I already just uninstalled the app and re-installed fresh with the updated one. Basically you can replicate though by trying to install any update to an app over a previously installed version via apk installer. I had this happen before.
If I have another instance, I'll be sure to update this thread with a screenshot. Thanks.
I have had this issue also fOmey. ..for example I am using that app NotiList made by a great developer in this forum....When he went from version .3b to .4b I had to install the app and reinstall as new because u can not scroll down to select update or whatever it is....I'll take a screen shot next time.

Yes, I'll try to explain better. If I have 4 pages on the screen and turn off or reboot the device, when turn it on, only show 3 pages, ie, the fourth page (the last one, which was more right) disappears.

The last update of 20140216 was awesome, but my problems on i9100 are the launcher icon of calendar should be of kitkat and also when using Apollo to listen music it sometimes cease.
my flash isn't working,
when i try to make a movie with my camera, it just stuck at 00:01 sec and crashes,
after that if i need my camera back i've to reboot my phone. update with the latest Omni rom still same.
any solution?

Across all devices there are some weird issues with omniswitch losing permissions for no explainable reason. max is working on it.
Since this issue seems to affecting a lot of people, I decided to post what I use to fix the issue. Basically what this mod does is remove the command that acquires the wakelock, so it never exist.
Note: If the app updates itself, the wakelock will be back(unless Google fixes it), so I will try to keep this up to date with the latest version until it's not needed anymore.

Same as the "DisableService" solution to prevent 'SystemUpdateService' ??

Hey man.
For starters thanks a lot for your help! I was wondering if the results are instant or does it take a while to check the difference? Because after I flashed the .zip and booted the phone I went to check the battery status and the Google Services were still taking 66% of the my battery life. Is that normal?
Thanks in advance!

that doesn't mean that it is still "taking" 66%. It is saying that the service has used that percentage of the total used amount so far. the change will be "instant" but the usage counts will still show that until they reset.
