[Q] Best custom firmware and help with rooting

Hi, sadly I'm a noob and I currently have a samsung galaxy n7000 UK based. I've attached a print screen on the information about my phone.
Previously, I was on the ICS firmware and since the uk version of the JB wasn't released, I updated my phone via Odin to the chinese version of the 4.1.2 JB. Then recently my phone said there was an update for my phone which was in fact the uk version of the JB.
Ever since, my phone is running quite slow and I have formatted it to see if it made a difference. The difference is slight.
Now I've decided I want to install a custom rom as I heard some of them would make my phone perform smoother, faster and also more battery-friendly.
Can someone give me a recommendation on which custom rom I should choose and give me a link that gives me instructions on how to root my specific firmware as I can't find any that mention XXLT3.
Please help?

We don't do best rom threads on xda, it's just a case of try them all til you're happy.
As for rooting, you may have to downgrade your rom to one that has a phillz kernel for it.

To successfully flashy an international 5x rom to my phone do I just apply turillos fix, the rom and then the new Ael kernel? Or does the fix only work for kitkat roms? I'm a bit out of my element here and would really appreciate some help, thanks!

Galaxy Mini GT-S5770B

Hello, unfortunately my S3 touch stopped working so im using the old Galaxy Mini for a couple of days till i get a new phone, probably LG G5.
I'm looking to tinker with it a bit, so i need to root it and install a custom ROM.
So, whats the difference between the GT-S5770B and GT-S5770I ? can I use this method ?
And what is the FASTEST ROM based on GB, don't want to upgrade it to ICS, JB or anything above. CWM 7.2 seems good, any other ideas ?

No love for the Verizon Gs5 g900v bpb1

It seems that rooting my phone is the only thing I can do. As there are no roms available to flash for this model, I've attempted Plasma, Ressurection, Aliance and a few others I can't remember. Yes I know I can only flash touchwiz compatible but what the heck I tried anyways. I was able to flash Plasma (i think) it said Plasma under Android Version. Now im back to rooted stock, any advice is appreciated. Anyone else running same rooted phone model/version with a custom rom?
You know you can unlock the bootloader, right?
If I was on the Samsung 15 chip but unfortunately I'm on the 11 toshiba.

[Q] Reliable custom ROM option for Sprint?

Hi Folks, my buddy has an HTC One M7 for Sprint and is looking to get into custom ROM's for the first time. I'll help him with getting it installed.
I'm unfamiliar with development for M7 and hoping someone can recommend a custom ROM that has everything working properly and as few bugs as possible.
Not too concerned with Android version or anything other than "it works great".
Just as long as phone calling, camera, texting, wifi, etc. etc. all work without trouble.
Suggestions?
EDIT:
Looks like custom Nougat ROM's are all reported to have some form of bluetooth issues.
So with Oreo too new, I'm looking for Lollipop or Marshmallow it seems.
